Still Open All Hours: Episode #1.5 (2015)
Best episode so far in a heartwarming comedy
This episode presents Granville's sales antics in it finest order, his Uncle would be proud. We see some of the classic jokes and the odd laugh out loud moment in what has so far been a heartwarming and easy but not outstanding comedy. Whilst it may not be as good as the original series as a sequential spin-off it certainly does itself justice. I would welcome and hope that there is another series so we can enjoy more classic outrageous Arkright Esq sales techniques. That Granville could sell a heart attack!! Its unlikely we will see it run for more than a couple of series at best tho, but I think Ronnie Barker would be happy with the efforts of the writers and to see his old co- star at the helm.
Killing Them Softly (2012)
Terrible
So boring and monotonous with very little plot,it seemed to be mostly pointless dragged out dialogue that nearly caused me to fall asleep for the first time ever in the cinema; I certainly had a few winks. However what I will say is that the one good thing about this film is the title 'Killing them Softly' which by and large in my interpretation seems to refer to the audience watching the film. It was clear to me by the end that I had been duped into watching this film by my left wing 'friend' who seems to enjoy watching monotonous films with 'up there arses' economic and political messages that have no place in a film in such a format, regardless of whether I watch films for entertainment or the messages they convey, if you have such a monotonous drawn out dialogue you will never convey your message to the audience. Simply the worst film, bar that date film with Aliyson Hannigan in, that I have ever watched! Brad Pitt doesn't really have any good movies does he?!!
