Masters of the Air (2024)
Utter disappointment
Was enjoying it to an extent at first, with the bristling battle scenes and begininings of some comradery.
Ended up completely lacking in character development, which makes the non-action episodes so much worse.
Although I guess they actually got it backwards and tried devoloping characyers in the last few episodes rather than the first.
For some reason they need to put down their allies over and over, really giving that "hero yanks won the war" vibe.
Waited so long for this and it's just pure disappointment, I can watch and enjoy Band of Brothers immensely yearly, and to a lesser extent the pacific, but I can't imagine watching this again.
A Day to Die (2022)
Semi watchable to complete nonsense
From the onset it was clear this was low budget but managed to get me inboard with some slightly interesting developments and swaggy soundtrack.
Then it hit the final act and went completely sideways and completely nonsensical.
Men who were not long ago shooting drugs (which was a tad illogical) to stop them getting into the community are suddenly murdering police and security guards.
I am still in disbelief to the hard turn it took.
