Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 (2023)
I thought I was going to hate it.
It starts out dark. It was depressing. I kept thinking it's got to get better this is Gaurdians for goodness sake.
IT DID!
I was excited to see another Gaurdians. Everything around is depressing, and I wanted a little joy and levity. So with it starting out so dark I was all set to be disappointed.
It tells Rockets story which is very dark, as you would expect but worse.
It changes and opens up the characters. That took a bit to make me like their new and expanded personalities. My least favorite character is Daxx and I even liked him.
It has a good message. You will root for the good guys. You will get sucked in. You will gasp, laugh, cry and laugh some more
It really delivered! AND the music was great as usual!
The Forgotten War (2020)
You need to watch
History is repeating itself. Here's a reminder of what happens if you let it. We're at the phase now, where you need to know what will happen if you let it.
Army of the Dead (2021)
Not funny, not entertaining, not worth a B rating
This is not your Shawn of the Dead, it's not well written. The plot is like trudging through molasses in the winter time.
The only characters that are likeable are the blonde, and maybe the geeky safe cracker. Oh and the tiger.
You don't get involved enough with any of them to care about them.
The ones that do get any air time, you hope they die.
Batista(?) Is that his name? He can't act. He will always be the idiot side-kick to Groot. That will always be his best role. BTW His tone and inflecting are the same. Seriously he can't act. It must be his muscles and his tats that people like. It's not his "skills"or believability.
Mostly everyone is unlikeable and annoying.
The plot is predictable, if you can stay interested enough to pay attention. Don't worry if you can't you won't miss anything.
The worst part is I won't get that time back.
The best part is I caught up on my laundry and word games.
The best
Move on to something worthwhile, like Idol Hands or Shawn of the Dead.
I think they were going for Zombieland and failed miserably.
Miracle Workers (2019)
I love the actors! I hate the show.
I was seriously disappointed in the plot. The idea of the plot is good. Trying to save the world from destruction. However making God a bumbling idiot is sad and stupid. I'm not even a Christian and I find this very distasteful.
The episodes are way too short and too few to even get you involved enough to be excited about the next season.
Remember when there were like 30 to 35 episodes of season? Now I think there are only seven. There's not enough to get invested in.
At least with other shows that still only serve up seven episodes the characters are more in depth and the shows are longer like Victoria is at least an hour. Miracle Workers is not as involving as Big Bang Theory and I think they have at least 12 episodes in a season. Why do they even waste their time with these things being as short as they are? Do the actors not have the same work ethic as they used to?
do the producers think we are too stupid to be involved with something longer than seven shows?
There's so much more that could have been done with these characters to make this a likable plausible show unfortunately It failed immensely.
And although I've recorded and watched every episode I doubt very seriously that I will bother next season. As much as I love Daniel Radcliffe and Steve Buscemi I don't think it's worth my time.
