Berlín (2023)
Don't waste UR time...it is NOT money Heist
The Netflix series "Berlin" held promise with its ambitious heist plot, centered around an elaborate robbery plan. However, the execution left much to be desired. The storyline, stretched across eight episodes, seemed unnecessarily prolonged, diluting the impact of the narrative.
One of the major disappointments lies in the series' tendency to delve into unnecessary details, perhaps in an attempt to fill the episode quota. This decision not only hindered the pacing but also left viewers grappling with an overload of information that did little to enhance the overall plot.
The ending, in particular, felt rushed and strangely tied together, leaving loose ends that left me with more questions than answers. The potential for a satisfying conclusion was overshadowed by the abrupt and somewhat confusing resolution.
While the central heist plan showcased creativity and intrigue, the series suffered from characters who appeared consistently irresponsible and careless. It became increasingly challenging to believe that this group, seemingly lacking in discipline and foresight, could successfully execute such a complex robbery.
In summary, "Berlin" had the foundation for an engaging heist narrative, but its downfall lay in the unnecessary elongation of the storyline and the underdeveloped, irresponsible characters. The fastened ending did little justice to the intricate plot, leaving viewers with a sense of missed potential. While the initial robbery plan held promise, the series ultimately struggled to maintain its momentum.
Despite its flaws, some viewers may find elements to enjoy in "Berlin," particularly if they are drawn to heist-themed stories. However, for those seeking a more tightly woven narrative with well-developed characters, this series may fall short of expectations.
Leave the World Behind (2023)
Disappointing Journey
Leave the World Behind" proved to be a lackluster movie experience, leaving me questioning its merit. The film fell short on multiple fronts, making it a tedious and unengaging watch.
Firstly, the storyline lacked depth, offering little to captivate the audience. The narrative failed to unfold in a compelling manner, resulting in a rather weak and uninteresting plot. The movie's title, "Leave the World Behind," ironically resonates with the urge to escape from its mundane narrative.
The performances were another major letdown. The actors seemed disconnected, delivering uninspiring portrayals that failed to evoke any genuine emotion. Their lackluster efforts left me questioning the casting choices and longing for a more engaging ensemble.
Regrettably, the film proved to be a complete time investment loss, with its two-hour duration feeling like an eternity. Scenes dragged on without purpose, contributing to the overall sense of boredom and disappointment.
In all honesty, I cannot in good faith recommend "Leave the World Behind" to anyone. The movie's lack of substance, coupled with uninspired acting, makes it a regrettable choice for cinema enthusiasts. Save yourself from the disappointment and invest your time in a more captivating cinematic experience. "Leave the World Behind" fails to leave any lasting impression, making it a forgettable addition to the world of cinema.
Cam (2018)
Do not waste your time
"Cam" is a film that attempts to blend psychological thriller elements with the dark side of online interactions, but unfortunately falls short in several key areas. While the concept holds potential, the execution of both the story and its twists leaves much to be desired.
One glaring issue is the inclusion of unnecessary nudity. While a film that delves into the world of camgirls is expected to address themes of sexuality, the way these elements are presented feels gratuitous and detracts from the story's progression. The excessive focus on such scenes disrupts the pacing and adds little to the overall narrative. It's unfortunate that these moments overshadow the film's more meaningful themes.
Ultimately, "Cam" struggles to justify its runtime. The plot's lack of depth, combined with disappointing twists, leaves the audience feeling unsatisfied. Despite its intriguing premise, the movie's execution undermines its potential impact.
In my opinion, "Cam" does not warrant a recommendation. The poor storytelling, lack of meaningful twists, and unnecessary reliance on explicit content make it a film that is difficult to appreciate. With so many other captivating options available, this movie simply doesn't hold up. If you're seeking a psychological thriller that effectively explores the darker side of the internet, "Cam" is not the answer.
Glass Onion (2022)
Weak acting with slow story
Glass Onion was an interesting movie, but it was not great. It had a bit of a slow start and the story was somewhat confusing at times. The acting was decent, but nothing special. The visuals were alright, but nothing special either. The soundtrack was ok, but nothing memorable.
Overall, Glass Onion was an ok movie. It had some good moments, but it was not great. The plot was confusing and the acting was nothing special. The visuals and soundtrack were decent, but nothing too memorable. It was an interesting watch, but it doesn't quite reach the level of greatness. I would give it a 7 out of 10.
The Crime (2022)
Below Expectation
The movie below the expectations for a famous director ( Sherif Arafa ) and actor ( Ahmed Ezz ). But Maged El-Kidwani was extraordinary and I think that he is the one that supported the movie.
The actress ( Menna Shalabi ) was very poor in her role, in general she is a weak actress and mainly depending on her name.
The script and story are very poor.
Great decoration and old cars.
The make up for the old age persons for Maged El-Kidwani and the doctor was very poor and not professional at all, may be for Ahmed Ezz it was medium.
I will advise to see it just to enjoy the whole story not the acting or script.
Mainly dealing with the action from psychological point.
