Dozers (2010)
Incoherent Farce
The good thing about digital media is that it makes it possible for people who don't have a lot of money to get into film making.
The bad thing about digital media is that it makes it possible for people like Don Adams to inflict their "visions" upon the world.
"Dozers" is a silly piece of sci-fi camp that wreaks of amateurism. Sometimes a hokey touch can add to a film's charm, but other times it's just annoying...as in this film.
This is one of those tedious, boring, amateur affairs that looks like it was "written" (ad-libbed is more like it) in one afternoon by a bunch of fat high school nerds in their mom's basement and "enacted" by same. When done by talented people, camp can be very entertaining...but in the hands of Adams & company, it's just too stupid and dull to be anything but repellent.
Skip this one, because if you watch it you'll never get those wasted minutes of your life back.
The Big Bang Theory (2007)
Four and a Half Eye-sores...
In the wake of his "Two and a Half Men" success, the omnipresent Chuck Lorre is back with an all-new concept. Whereas "Men" revolved around two sex-starved geeks (plus one Lothario), here we have four sex-starved geeks (plus one squeaky-voiced, floppy haired Valley Girl).
In this timeless series, viewers are treated to something television has never explored before--the daily routines of ill-mannered, under-groomed slovens trying to get laid. This they somehow do, though how hooking up with any of them constitutes "getting lucky" is anyone's guess.
Watch for plenty of minority-favoring, nasal-voiced characters who place an invisible "Y" before all of their spoken "A's." Yes, they eat "yapples," "plyan" excursions and "styand" by each other through bad hair, clothes and manners days. How nice.
Typical 21st-century fare. Watch it or flip to almost any other channel to see more of same.
