Forrest Gump (1994)
A men can do everything in which believes
I was long ago planing to watch this movie and when my lecturer from university told us in a lecture about him I finally decided to watch it. It's a great movie. Really touchable and inspiring story.
Forrest Gump is nothing special, they don't even believe he is able to graduate school like normal kids, but his mother does. She never gives up on him and support him. She is the exact parent which a child like Forrest needs to grown up right. Without any expectations of big results Forrest gets beyond his possibilities and started running though his life really fast. Even though he is not with a special intellect potential he achieves everything that he wants. He is doing what he wants in the moments, when he is enjoying it and he succeed. Nothing stops him to get what he want, people's opinion is not important for him.
This movie is example for that there are no limits or restrictions for what a person can or can't do. When you want to do something you just start doing it, because life is short and we may loose our chance while we are wondering when is the right time to begin. There is no more right time than the exact moment - now.
The Dark Knight (2008)
Comic book heroes come to life
Actually I've never read comic books of Batman but I've watched all the movies and there is no other that I liked so much. The dark knight is deep psychological, full with good scenes and fantastic dialogues and funny at the same time.
The Batman's character is shown really good with all his good sides and disadvantages. The spectator can take a side by his own, because you see all the characters on one level. Of course there is good and bad and even middle line, where stands Harvey, but all are presented like they have their own points and cause of their actions.
Heath Ledger outdid himself, he finally has the opportunity to show his talent with no limits. I've always liked him, but in this character he's just unique. Half of the film ratings are highly up because of the Joker. His performance make the audience like the bad guy and to understand the villain. It is visibly that he is really enjoying the role and fits into so deeply. In spite of that I don't think that is related with his death, it was a great performance that shown how good he is and gave him a big push in his career. There are other personal reason I think. Anyway it is such a lost and every time after I saw his movie in the end I'm really sad, because I know there are not gonna be another new production and when the end credits came out his spirit is just left.
And I will always asking myself why all the talented people die so young?
Two Hands (1999)
well assembled, good shot Australian movie
I like how the events in the movie are coming one after another and each one is caused by the previous. The movie has a good structure and is shot by the right angles. Everyone who is begging to make movies should watch it, it is a perfect example for a great composition in film.
Seems to me that the older movies focused on the details more and the acting is more expressive. A simple parts are made with art and good play.
Heath is born to be in front of the camera, even at the beginning of his career he is so deep into his role and make such a professional play. This film is a gem for the movie industry.
Candy (2006)
Full of emotions and very realistic
"Candy" is one of these movies which left you so much to think about. While I was watching the movie mixed emotions went though me. Such like joy, delight, melancholy, disgust, sadness and sympathy. There are so realistic and horrific scenes and at the same time so beautiful and catching moments. The opening scene is one of the most beautiful things made in art of the cinema. The music, the deep and rich voice of gorgeous Heath Ledger, all the words with which he is describing the great love. The big love that raises you to heaven. And so the first stage of drug addicts is like heaven. They don't think for the consequences or the risks, not even about their heath and the people who they can hurt. All about they care about is the pleasure which they feel. The unconditional love and the heroin are blinded Dan and Candy and they don't feel how turn their direction to the ground very speedily. The hit of the realistic life on earth overturn their minds, all the sweetness and love are gone. Here they are two young persons, talented and artistic in nature, confronted to face their nude or what they've become. The most sad and hard moment for me was when Dan saw the writings on the wall by Candy about their life story. Somehow when I listen to the words and review all the story I wish I experience that kind of love, unconditional, twisting everything inside you and make you do everything about a person, who sometimes you love and sometimes you hate for being so deep inside of you. I adore the movie, so realistic and terrific, shows how drugs can ruin a human's life. Heath is wonderful, charming and gets really into the role, like always. Love him. R.I.P
