Drive (2011)
Action with an artistic touch
This movie definitely isn't your standard action flick with shooting and shallow characters. Ryan Gosling plays a man of little words and his performance is ashtonishing, you can really feel his character through his facial expression and his depressed smile. This film has very little dialogue but will keep you really interested from start to end. From the first scene I realised this film is different. There are some very violent scenes with raw gore but they look very beautiful especially one in an elevator( I won't say more so I don't ruin it. The last thing I want to reffer to is the soundtrack of the film which is really great and I searched all the songs, very good! This movie is really good and I recommend it to anyone!
Blood and Bone (2009)
Fun movie, had more to offer
This movie is what I expected it to be, a not so deep martial arts film where an inmate gets out of prison and starts fighting in the streets but for a deep cause. The fighting scenes( the most important part of the film) where good but could be a little more interesting and last longer, the acting was mediocre and Michael stand out from the others. The plot is really cliché and not very interesting. It isn't very violent and lacks nudity so you can watch it with family, provided that the kids are older than 13 years old. You will not regret watching this movie but you will not remember it long after watching it either. Good film but not great!
Intouchables (2011)
A well made film
Intouchables is a very nice movie about a man in a wheelchair and his caretaker-buddy who injects life in the boring life of the man. The performances are really good and in the case of Omar unexpectedly good given his little experience. There are many humorous scenes in this film but the overall climate is depressing. The reason I give it a 7 is because it isn't deep enough and you don't get to know the characters very well, maybe a little more screenplay time would be for the best. Also the ending wasn't really satisfying and left you a bit incomplete. But overall, you won't regret watching Intouchables, I guarantee you that!
Sushi Girl (2012)
I really enjoyed this film
Sushi Girl in my opinion is a very well made film and the director really paid attention to all the details. At the start the climate which is made by the director is really fantastic. The dialogues are interesting and the characters are very unique in their own way, especially Crow(Mark Hamill) which I think is the best performance in the whole movie. This film is very violent and the director isn't shy to show it all on screen so if you can't handle it then you shouldn't see the movie. I think that the violence is a plus in this particular movie because along with the climate, it gives a comic feel. Also the actors fit very well in their roles. Overall, Sushi girl is pretty good and I would recommend it to anyone without hesitation.
