Masters of the Universe: Revelation (2021)
Teela's Big Day
Absolute trash. Animation is choppy. Storyline is poorly written. And sidelining the voice of Skeletor for the Joker is plain old stupid. Childhood nostalgia aside, this series stinks. Direct sequal my ass.
The Wrong Missy (2020)
A Star is Born
This lady is going to be a superstar. She grinded, she made it.
Incredibles 2 (2018)
R rated adult movie disguised as kids film
Explicit violence and excessive alcohol use. Pixar has changed directions.
Toy Story 4 (2019)
Who Wrote This Nonsense?
Where was John Lassiter? Had anyone who worked on this movie ever seen the previous three movies? This movie is absolutely disconnected from the series in everyway possible. Characters stopped aging with real time, the main characters are not who they've ever been, and Buzz is relagated to 7th or 8th place. Complete disappointment. 2 stars; 1 for amazing CGI, and 1 star for being a good original movie. Minus 8 stars for not being an orginal movie and just being a bastardized version of what had been yje greatest animated series ever produced. This movie stinks and could pass for Secret Life of Pets 3.
Dolemite Is My Name (2019)
Give Eddie Murphy his Oscar already.
Criminally underated for 35 years based on his unparalleled and underappreciated typecast comedic range, Murphy has long been deserving of an Academy Award. Give it to him already.
The Toys That Made Us: Transformers (2018)
Transformers For the Win
Good documentary that leaves out a large factor;
Transformers defeated Go-Bots for one cery large reason - Transformers was shown over antenna five days a week, and Go-Bots was shown over cable on the USA Network.
Caddyshack II (1988)
Who's Reviewing This?
Anybody who gives this a 1 should slap themselves. The original is not only a Classic, but also an all time movie. No sequel lacking the original cast could duplicate what the original accomplished, so they didn't bother to try. Caddyshack 2 sets out to be a semi slapstick comedy, and it succeeds completely. The jokes are stupid, and that's the point. It isn't a low budget movie that's just bad, it's a full fledged Hollywood production that tells goofy jokes from start to finish. It pulls off good guy vs bad guy perfectly. It didn't try to be part 1 so only blame yourself if you are mad that it isn't.
Dumb and Dumberer: When Harry Met Lloyd (2003)
The Bad Reviews Are Ridiculous
This movie took established characters, fleshed out a backstory, and added to the mythos. Everyone in the movie gives %100 and is fully onboard with the craziness. Is Olsen Jim Carrey? Of course not. But he delivers a phenomenal performance. The cast is enormous, and again. they are all in. This movie did what it set out to do.
Nutty Professor II: The Klumps (2000)
It Breaks My Heart To Rate This 2
I love almost all Eddie Murphy movies. I even enjoyed him in I Spy. I rented Pluto Nash on pay per view (watched it on my descrambler.) But this.... I saw this in the theater, and when I woke up and he was farting in space, I left the theater. That's all I have to say about that.
No Holds Barred (1989)
WWF The Movie
What's that smell? Dookie? No, it's No Holds Barred.'
This movie is a massive pile of garbage. Just about everything is done wrong. The acting, the directing, the script, the stunts, the silly violence, the blatant parallel to WWF vs NWA, No Holds Barred is a terrible let down. I was a huge fan of Hogan and the WWF, and as a ten year old this movie never interested me. The following Zues storylines were big for a while, but he can't act or wrestle, and Savage carried him as far as he could. Speaking of Savage, he would have been much better as the lead villain in this movie.
The Twilight Zone: Nightmare at 20,000 Feet (1963)
Hero At 20,000 Feet
Let's be honest and just say that Shatner saved the plane. And in return he was institutionalized.
Perfect Bid: The Contestant Who Knew Too Much (2017)
For Fans of Price is Right
Extremely enjoyable if you are a fan of 80s / 90s Price is Right. Most people dont realize that the reality is that the Price is Right is for home bodys. Housewives, retirees, and superfans. Long term viewers have seen thousands of episodes, and they will understand and enjoy this documentary, and maybe even remember Theodore. The guy put in the work and conquered the greatest contest in world history.
The Twilight Zone: The Gift (1962)
What Would Alien Do?
Pointless Jesus references and comparisons that don't fit. Worst episode of the series and deserves a 1 rating for dragging the series down. Boring, slow, poorly acted, badly written.
The Twilight Zone: Little Girl Lost (1962)
I'm Some Place Where I Don't Know Where I Am
Simpsons did it.
Good episode. Creepiness doesn't hold up.
Generation Iron 3 (2018)
Confirms What We Already Knew
Men's Physique is a joke. A competition that ignores legs does not belong at the major shows.
The Twilight Zone: The Lateness of the Hour (1960)
Feels Like a Dress Rehearsal
Perhaps it was and was not deemed good enough for a real filming, but used by producers anyway. Everything about this episode is off. The plot and acting are substandard, the audio is lower quality and less frequent, the episode is filmed with different film, and even the cinematography is different. It seems as though every shot was kept with one take, with many shots out of focus and used anyway. Serling also looks off camera at his lines in his opening monologue, and it is more like an unprepared SNL host than the standard he had set prior. The ending fits the series however, and on a Netflix binge watch it doesn't interrupt the flow too much.
The Dirt (2019)
Hits a wall
The Dirt started out great. It was raw from frame one. The 4th wall gets broken quickly and there's not really a reason for it. 2/3 of the way through the movie, the band hits their peak, and in the next scene hits bottom. It's confusing why the movie had it happen so quickly. It seems as if everyone involved kind of gave up. Make up and hair effects drop dramatically in quality, and suddenly the movie is over. It's an enjoyable watch because of the music and telling of some wild Motley Crue stories. It's a good watch, but not a great movie all the way through.
Planes: Fire & Rescue (2014)
Needed more action in the first 2/3
Quadruple rehashed storylines need action to maintain attention. My 2 year old and I were just bored until the ending picked up pace. Animation is good but a little flat and shortcuts are obvious to a semi trained eye. Better movie than the first, a third might have put all the pieces together.
Planes (2013)
A Lightning McQueen movie without Lightning McQueen.
It's one thing to make a movie in the world of cars, but Planes just replaces the lead characters of Cars and makes the same movie. The cropduster could have had any plotline other than being a racer and this movie could have excelled. A nobody small plane isn't as exciting as a superstar race car.
Monsters University (2013)
Disney's Revenge of the Nerds
This was an excellent movie with classic elements pulled from many college movies made before it.
