Dabbe: Cin Çarpmasi (2013)
Overrated
If you're a true horror fan, avoid it. There is nothing scary about this. And to all muslims, a djinn is a demon, a demon is a djinn. It tries to be scary with the shaky POV cameras and it fails. Sure, it has a storyline but it's WAYYYYY too long and just not worth it.
The "CGI" is awful as well. It did have potential but it tried too hard and failed. There are better demon and possession films out there.
An old classic, The Possession of Michael D. Has all the effects you want in the usual 1.5hrs. Depending on which religion, it's the same type of entity that possesses, it's just a different name.
If you want to waste all that time....it's your choice.
Portals to Hell: Taylor Trask Museum (2022)
Jan is great!
Jan reminds me of Frances McDormand in Olive Kitteridge haha! And I think she was hungry HAHAHHA
I love Katrina! Just wish they'd spend more time at locations, like Paranormal Lockdown. Damn that show was awesome.
Umma (2022)
When your abusive past comes back to haunt you
Don't expect over the top horror. This is a good flick about someone trying to move on from their abuse but then the past comes back to haunt you. I can only imagine the amount of people that have to deal with this and the effects it has on mental health. I enjoyed this, and Sandra Oh is always a gem.
America's Funniest Home Videos (1989)
Who chooses the finalists?!
Seriously. Funniest home videos, right? The funniest is NEVER nominated. I always call which one will win, they're the long boring ones that don't even make me smile.
And all the videos of people getting hurt? They make us cringe, not laugh.
You really need to review all submitted videos and get a better panel to approve actual funny videos. Then your show will only be 22 minutes long, including the cringy filler by this terrible host.
Portals to Hell: The Padre Hotel (2021)
What about the curtains??
So curtains are moving violently and you don't show more of it? That was the most interesting part of the show and it's quickly forgotten...why? At least tell the viewers why it was dismissed. Heather Taddy is not doing much for the show...
Portals to Hell (2019)
One of the best of its kind
I enjoy how Katrina is very brave and doesn't jump and scream at every sound which most people do on other shows. She just faces it straight on or searches for what it was. They do lots of research and actually ask the right questions. None of this theatrical acts like Ghost Adventures. Although some witnesses or owners are pretty theatrical which makes me question their experiences. Seems to be an act.
I love the psychic addition and love 90% of the psychics they use.
The one thing I wish they'd change is getting much better night vision cameras. I find that it's very blurry and would be hard to catch any evidence. That would be a great improvement for future seasons!
The Green Knight (2021)
We walked out of the movie theatre
This was torture. I was hoping after 1.5hrs, some adventure/fantasy/thrill would appear on screen and...nothing. So we walked out of the movie theatre. Wasted money. Can't get reimbursed if you watch more than 50% of the film. Waste of talents. Don't waste your money or your time, unless you're into movies that are only for the "art".
Expedition X: Ghosts in the Canal (2021)
All natural phenomena
There are no ghosts in the tunnel, too much wildlife, natural phenomena like the wind blowing your hair. If it's insanely windy outside, it might be strong enough to push someone or make someone lose their balance. I'm on Phil's side all the way.
Great Chocolate Showdown (2020)
I'm a Canadian not enjoying Canadian judges' acting
Are all Canadian food show judges trained by the same person? "You must be so proud!" "A great reason to be proud!" "Be proud, are you proud? Proud, proud, PROUD!"
Come on!!! Stop with the everyone wins and we must not hurt anyone's feelings. It's delicious, good job! If it sucks, then it sucks. Or it's just ugly! Just typical Canadian cliche. I'm Canadian and I can't stand that type of behaviour.
Great Chocolate Showdown: Choc Full of Impressions (2020)
Euh, what? The top five impressions of what?!
The bottom four had more beautiful plates than the "top five". We're the judges walking the room blindfolded at the end of the technique challenge??
I don't know what to say.
The Maus (2017)
Fantasy? Horror?
If you want a slow drama about a Bosnian war survivor with an ending that makes no sense, here it is. If you're looking for horror, look elsewhere.
Selma - the actress plays her role so well. That's the saving grace of this film.
Fantasy Island (2020)
Where's the horror?
It was an ok movie. I watched the unrated version, and well....nothing. I was hoping for some gore, which had plenty of opportunity for it but never did.
It's more of a thriller/mystery, as usual with American films.
The Neon Demon (2016)
Had potential
Beautifully shot but just fell short. Don't waste your time on this.
The Exorcist (2016)
Too bad it got cancelled
Would've loved to see how it all ended :( it just got cancelled too soon. Come on Netflix! Pick up the show!!!
Ghost Adventures: Bloodshed in the Bordello (2020)
Forced reactions....witnesses are becoming more and more of a joke
I'm getting bored with this, the episodes are getting worst. The reactions are horrendous. Come one guys, your description in your intro no longer fits. Get back to how it was or you'll lose more viewers, including myself.
Destination Fear is more interesting.
Ghost Adventures (2008)
They always mention "helping" the owners of haunted places...but?
When do they help anyone? Unless they actually bring professionals on site to bless the places, which is 0.2% of the time.
I'm just getting irritated with how they react like a bunch of scared little girls when there's activity. Shouldn't you just shut the hell up and try to capture the evidence? For all the years you have been doing this, you would think that they'd be more prepared...but no. I'm pretty sure my grandma could do a better job.
Come on guys, not everything is caused by spirits. A lot of it can be explained by outside contamination, old buildings creaking, animals, rodents, etc. You're supposed to be professional ghost "hunters", prove it but reacting professionally.
Ghost Adventures: The Graber Farm Entity (2020)
It was a cat or another animal, Billy!
You guys caught it on camera, it's an animal. Which is to be expected if the doors are open.
