The Simpsons: Homer the Whopper (2009)
Herp Derp
The episode of "Homer the Whopper" is not The Simpsons's finest work, but it is not as bad as some of the ones made after the twenty-year mark. This episode contains many of the satirical comedy that helped put The Simpsons on t.v screens across the world. It primarily satirizes Hollywood and bad sequels when Homer is put into a movie about a comic book character invented by Comic Book Guy (Jeff Albertson). It satirizes such things as: Special effects, weight control in Hollywood, superhero movies, and, briefly, bad sequels.
There are, however, points where this episode did not hold up so well. In one instance there is a joke about actors trying to lose weight by self-induced vomiting that ultimately had a rather lame punchline and did not really go anywhere. The jokes weren't as good as they were in The Simpsons's prime, such as one bit where the hole punchline is Homer saying something where he is "bleeped" out, turning out to be crass and not very funny.
