Los delincuentes (2023)
Serious pacing problems
4 stars is a very generous rating from me, I only give such a high rating to such a boring film because the story even tries to discuss some interesting themes, albeit very prosaically.
I also like the cinematography and some of the locations a little, but that's it, the film is tremendously boring and has serious pacing problems, it's over three hours long and could very simply be shortened to around 90 minutes without losing much of the substance. Narrative that isn't much.
In this way, this review acts as a bit of a warning so that you don't waste too much time of your life watching such an insipid narrative. I don't want to use the word pretentious, but I think it's useful here.
The film simply does not respect the viewer's time, it has a very basic and rudimentary script, disguised in such a way as to make the inattentive viewer think they are watching something of substance.
Come to think of it, considering the total lack of respect in taking so much time without having much to say, 4 stars is perhaps too condescending a rating.
In short, the film is tremendously boring because it is unnecessarily long, perhaps if it weren't so long it would expose what is truly true, a film of little substance.
Fall (2022)
Very boring
6.4 is far above what this film deserves.
The beautiful cinematography is undoubtedly one of the strongest points, combined with great, but rare, intense action scenes.
Jeffrey Dean Morgan is wasted in the movie and his character doesn't do much.
In the social aspect, I believe that the film can serve as a cautionary tale.
The two main actresses are competent.
The biggest problem is that this movie is very boring, that I can't forgive in a movie.
It is much longer than it needs to be, so if it were shorter it would be more watchable.
I think four stars would be a fair grade, after all the film is competent in the technical aspects, but honestly it is not a very entertaining film.
Class of '07 (2023)
Excellent australian comedy drama
An excellent character study with good comedy moments. Great quality actresses interpreting a very good script.
A positive point is that the series knows how to explore the gray areas of all the characters, nobody is totally good or totally bad, which gives an air of maturity to the show.
The performances are very good, the characters are charismatic and none of them are boring.
The soundtrack features good alternative versions of famous songs.
The theme of the end of the world is secondary, just an excuse to keep these characters confined having to interact with each other.
Basically a comedy drama.
Sorry for bad english, I m writing from Brazil and loved this show which I have watched on a single day today.
House of Gucci (2021)
Very boring
It's so boring that reminds me other Scott movie: "All money in the world".
The five stars are for some fun moments gere and there, speacelly Pacino's performance.
The Falcon and the Winter Soldier (2021)
The for stars is for the strong first half
The series starts off strong, I would say the first three episodes are very good. But from the fourth, the whole thing goes downhill, and the show, irritatingly, insists on convincing us to empathize with a terrorist.
Also, they got rid of the best character there by episode 4, Baron Zemo.
The I Inside (2004)
The same old trick...
... It was all a dream.
Nothing new here in terms of the narrative.
The acting was ok, but nothing special. The ost it's cool, but anoyng sometimes.
The Batman (2022)
Not very good
First of all, I must admit that this film is beautiful visually, this is the strength of the film and what sustains the six stars I awarded it.
The acting is generally competent, but I don't see why Colin Farrell was cast as Penguin without looking like the character, he's not a particularly formidable actor and it's not a name that attracts the box office these days either... I speculate that the reason he was cast is to attract more mentions on social media precisely driven by the great makeup work that is only necessary in the first place because Colin just doesn't look like the Penguin!
Otherwise, not much to say, the film is too pretentious and too long, many subplots could be cut, after all the script is not great. Almost three hours long hurt the film a lot, I think a two hours cut would be acceptable.
The villains aren't entertaining either, I've seen better versions of Ridler and Penguin in Arkham games. Pattison is ok as Batman but terrible as Bruce Wayne.
