About a solid 6/10 maybe 7/10
Personally I like shows like this, however there's something sort of off about this one. It feels like this could've been better as a limited series maybe 5-6 episodes instead of 8.
Also the redhead with the male companion feels so out of place. Especially the two times they like broke into a dance routine from a musical, it seemed out of place. Nothing against the actors, strictly speaking about the characters.
Otherwise it's an interesting thriller/crime tv series. I love Nesbitt and Armitage in this.
Time to Eat with Nadiya (2019)
Wonderful Show With The Same Charm As The British Bake Off
Nadiya is a delight to watch.
The recipes are not overwhelming, she also explains them very nicely so I feel like I could recreate the recipes myself with confidence.
I enjoy that she helps a few people out each episode, showing them some new meal options to make their lives a bit easier.
The show, along with Nadiya, have that calm British charm. I'm a big fan of the British Bake Off show, that Nadiya won one year, and I get that same relaxing feel from this new show as well.
I would highly recommend it if you're into cooking shows, or just want to watch something relaxing and educational.
The Midnight Gospel (2020)
Well made show with a unique format.
Every episode is enjoyable.
I'll say episodes 6,7, and 8 really stood out to me. I enjoyed those three the most.
If you're checking the show out solely because the Adventure Time creator is a part of its creation then you probably won't like it.
This show is not Adventure Time.
It's an animated show with adult themes throughout it, and the audio will not always be related to what's being animated on screen.
The audio comes from Duncan Trussell's podcast where he did all the interviews in real life.
Do some research before giving the show a low rating. Just because you didn't understand what was going on doesn't mean it's a bad show.
I would highly recommend the show. Although it won't be for everyone. Give it a try.
Dracula (2020)
It's a good show
Episode One - Strong, great watch.
Episode Two - Strong, great watch.
Episode Three - Feels disconnected, but still a good episode.
I really enjoyed the casting and was entertained throughout. It's only three episodes so if you're interested then I'd recommend it.
Mamma Mia! Here We Go Again (2018)
It's a good movie, don't let negative reviews stop you from enjoying it.
Did we need a Mamma Mia sequel? No
Is Mamma Mia Here We Go Again still a good movie anyhow? Absolutely.
It's fun, entertaining, all around good movie.
Christiane Amanpour Sex & Love Around the World (2018)
Very good series with a good host
Don't see why people don't like the woman host. She's asking questions and listening to the feedback from the people she's interacting with. This is a very informative show that I would recommend if you want to learn new things about these cultures that you may have had a stereotype about before.
The Ballad of Buster Scruggs (2018)
It's Not All Singing
I'd say this movie of short stories is a solid 8/10
I assumed the whole thing was singing because of the title but was happy to find that it wasn't the case. The actor who does sing in the beginning is great and I liked it but I'm glad the rest was just oddball western stories.
Give it a whirl, it's a well done movie.
Father Brown (2013)
Easily a 10/10 Tv Series
Absolutely endearing and entertaining show. For both religious people and non-religious people, it's a show to be enjoyed by all.
I would say all six seasons are wonderful. Although they do swap out who plays the Inspectors after a while so you'll notice him change three times I believe. My favorite was the second inspector, would have loved to see more of him.
Regardless, this show is very good fun. I admire that it's set in the 50's yet Father Brown is very understanding and non-judgmental when it comes to certain topics or types of people that show up in certain episodes.
Would recommend it to anyone really. It has that "Murder She Wrote" vibe to it, so if you liked that show then you'll love this one.
Chilling Adventures of Sabrina (2018)
Wonderful Show
Don't understand the low reviews on this series, it's a very well done show that is entertaining and fun. The casting is well done, the atmosphere of the show is both fun and unsettling. Can't wait for more!
Extinction (2018)
A Solid 7
The beginning is pretty boring but if you keep with it I think you'll be pleasantly surprised. The twist is was kept me watching, but this isn't a movie I'd watch a second time if I'm honest. It's good for a random movie night pick.
Locke (2013)
Pretty Good
This is a decent film, it's definitely all about the acting and emotions considering it takes place inside a car the entire time. It's worth a watch, especially if you like Tom Hardy.
Mojave (2015)
Decent film
It's not a bad movie but kinda boring if I'm honest. It's got an interesting cat and mouse thing going on but it feels like it was lacking a lot more substance. Oscar Isaac was really good at least.
Dark Tourist (2018)
Fantastic Show
I see a lot of people complaining about the host of the show but in all honesty there's nothing wrong with him.
This show is very interesting and entertaining. I enjoy that he traveled to a wide variety of places. The information is easy to understand but still leaves you wanting to know more about each tourist area.
I for one hope there are multiple seasons of this show in the future.
I'd recommend the show if you're interested in weird/dark/unusual things.
The Ridiculous 6 (2015)
It's an Adam Sandler movie
Basically, it's an Adam Sandler movie so that about sums it up. It's not terrible, it's just his type of comedy/humor which we've all seen for years. The only good thing about this movie to me is Taylor Lautner's character, got many laughs out of his lines because he's so silly. I wouldn't recommend this movie to anyone but it's really not all that bad as people are saying it is. It actually seems a little tame compared to other Adam Sandler films. I enjoy the cast, has all the regulars who are usually in these films. The atmosphere of the film looks good, regular silly moments and silly humor. I'm enjoying the film so far but it's nothing to rave about.
Cooties (2014)
10/10 this movie is incredible!
I love this movie!! Elijah Wood is my all time favorite actor but this cast as a whole is absolutely wonderful. Rainn Wilson once again delivers us an absolutely amazing character. I was ecstatic to see Alison Pill was in this. I just realized Leigh Whannell was Specs in Isidious which makes this even more great, his character Doug is my favorite next to Clint. The humor mixed with gore and horror in this plot makes it an incredible watch. I'm very surprised this didn't do well in the box office (at least from what I've read) because this is honestly a masterpiece. I can't wait to own it and watch it over and over. It's instantly one of my favorite films now.
The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring (2001)
This is my absolute favorite movie
I've read the LotR trilogy once (and will again very soon) and having only seen the movies before reading, I can say Peter Jackson did a very spot on job with adapting the books into films.
Frodo Baggins of the shire is my favorite character in the entire series. He is courageous and brave and strong in every sense of the word.
I've watched the movies since I was very young (I'm 20 now) and just read the trilogy early this year. Middle Earth is my home and I belong in the Shire.
If you like fantasy, battles, character development and a fantastic book and film trilogy then you must watch The Fellowship of the Ring along with Two Towers and Return of the King! I highly recommend reading the books first or if you think watching the films first would give you a better sense of who each character is then by all means do it that way!
In the end, this trilogy is what keeps me going and I can't thank J.R.R. Tolkien enough for creating Middle-Earth and everything in the Tolkien universe, and I can't thank Peter Jackson enough for making such a fantastic adaptation of said books!
