13 Reasons Why (2017)
Mixed Signals
I realize that Hannah Baker was feeling depressed. She had just lost almost $800 of her parents' money so she was feeling like a huge disappointment to a lot of people around her, but she had also recently watched, with her own two eyes, Bryce Walker rape her friend Jessica Davis and yet she still walks, in the middle of the night, to Bryce's house, where a party was going on, and strips down to her under garments and gets into a hot tub maybe 20 feet from where Bryce had been sitting beside the pool. Yes, Jessica Davis had also been there but she had at least been there with her boyfriend and seemed to have troubles remembering what Bryce had done to her anyway, I guess, because she had been messed up really badly that night going in and out of consciousness. Maybe it is just me, but shouldn't even a young girl in high school know better than to go to a party, where drinking and drugs are prevalent, where the host of the party is a rapist? And someone that everyone seems to be afraid to stand up to? Because of this I had a difficult time feeling as sorry for Hannah as I probably should have(?). Anyway, the show continues to protest and question sexual abuse and assaults which would still be okay with me even with my questions about Hannah's situation except in season three Ani, who Clay had a thing for, begins sleeping with Bryce even though she had heard from numerous sources, I'm sure ( she was observative and listened and learned everything else about everyone else in a very short amount of time ), that he had raped numerous other girls? Then, Monty hooks up with a gay guy ( Winston ) at a party one night secretly then beats the ever loving hell out of him in front of everyone before he leaves the party because he spoke to him in front of people. Later they meet up again and Monty apologizes, uses the excuse that he was drunk, and everything is cool again and they have sex??? I'm confused about the message in this series. Will abusive men get the girl in the end or not? Does the good guy still finish last? I didn't like the attempt at redeeming Bryce either; Interesting idea, wrong approach. The story unfolded in a very contrived manner, season three being the worst.

A Few Complaints, But I Didn't Hate It
More often than not I am not a fan of shows dealing with magic and wizardry especially when it comes to magical battles because I never feel like it is explained very well how one magician defeats another. If one knows a spell that can cause instant death why use anything else during a battle? But the magic was used pretty effectively in this series so far.
Could have used a few scenes showing more of a population, I think. The Benandanti was supposed to be protecting the city, their people, from these witches but the world seemed a little too small in numbers to me.
I have found that I prefer watching a series in its original language and reading subtitles so I definitely recommend that here. Feels and sounds much better to me.
I understand that this series is taking place during a time when women weren't treated with much equality, but I found it a little puzzling that the Benandanti were getting aid from a very powerful warlock to hunt down these witches and put them to death for witchcraft(?) and no one questioned it whatsoever.
Not sure I really understood Pietro taking up his father's mantle the way that it happened either, but despite all of my complaints I didn't have a difficult time watching the six episodes of the first season in one sitting and am curious how the writers will proceed with the story.
