After a first movie I enjoyed so much, I expected nothing less that the same quality, mystery and action. It's been disappointing that I found an interesting movie I like but nothing else and far from the overall impression I got from the first one, specially the extrange lack of the powers that Paul just should have developed after drinking the water off life that is a key moment but not in the movie. Clearly it is necessary at least a 3rd movie.

The deaths of the Harkonen also are treated in the movie as absolute lateral and, pum! Fast and easy, too easy for my taste.

It also shows too many moments the vision of the war... the dialogue with the sister, no comment, and absence of the guild, mentats and so on...

More than two hours of no suprises, even the revelations about the characters does not matter. The roles are predictable and scenes too long without any meaning to the movie. The cast could do much much better with a better script.

An expert police, cold minded and fairly motivated just turns to a mad and insane obsessed one with no reason in the movie, the script should reflect some trauma during the investigation thjat causes this change of behaviour.

As for the old police, his past should have caused the absolute rejection by the former boss in his old workplace.

And finally, the "revelations" in the movie are silly, predictable and should be much more crucial for the ending.
