Black Christmas (2006)
This movie is stupid.
Plain and simple, all the things I hate to see in a "horror" movie, bad acting, terrible jump-scares, annoying and cliché build up music used over and over, so unrealistic, for example, if a person is on top of you wrestling you to keep you down, if you stab them in the chest, I'm not a doctor but I'm pretty sure they won't do an actual forward roll across the room. The acting - as I said is bad, the constant "NOOOO!" in every single "fight scene", and in some parts it's as if they don't give a damn about what has happened, your sister(s) have died and you crack a cringe-worthy little joke while you are struggling to survive? Cliché - oh no, I think there might be a killer in house, better make sure the power goes out and there is a significant problem which results in the police not being able to reach us! Yeah, a lot of stuff like that. There are many girls in this movie? Better make their tits visible in every scene! Jump-scares - same sense as the build up, it's so over- used (and not in this movie alone), that whole music starts out quiet, gets louder and louder, then suddenly stops, a character turns around or something then boom, an attempt to scare you... it would be so much better without the buildup and it was just a simple scare (if you don't know what a jump- scares is, it's basically a loud noise along with what you see on- screen). Unrealistic - there is way too much blood off of such little incidents, I've never ate a human eyeball before but I'm pretty sure it wouldn't crunch, the cop at the start - I highly doubt you would just walk into a murderer's room as if it were your own, no hesitation or anything.
Do not waste 84 minutes of your life watching this movie.
The Incident (2011)
Better than I expected, but still...
...this movie could have easily been a whole lot better. The Director seems stuck and confused, so he adds unnecessary and let's be honest unrealistic sub-plots to keep you interested, but, I almost stopped watching I got that uninterested in what was going on. The Director should have kept this simple and to the point, 4 guys trapped in an Asylum, yes, but all the other stuff going on? No, I don't want to go into much detail because it might give away spoilers, but let me just say that the acting was stiff, the pretend accents made me cringe, some of the shots with the lighting were so fake and I got lost in what was the main plot. Other than that, I've seen worse, if you switch your brain off in this movie, you can easily enjoy it.
