I had to post here as there are only 5 reviews and one said this movie stunk. It is a stinker alright, dull, boring and just plain bad. I turned it off after about 20 - 30 mins.

Firstly, and this may not be to your liking BUT - if you are going to pretend that your are out patrolling after the baddies(a.k.a military style), at least put in some sort of effort. Spend a couple of dollars on an ex-military person to show you how it's done. Trying to fake it just looks plain awful.

Also, if you are going to give field signals (like telling your team to do something with hand signals), again, get some advice. I was confused as to what they were doing. Surely there is someone in the US to help with this. This is not being pedantic, I just couldn't tell what they were doing.

You don't have to have been in the military to understand what I'm saying. When you are going after someone (say the Vampire or the Werewolf), you don't stand out in the open waiting to get attacked. You keep as best hidden as you can. This is basic stuff - common sense.

The creatures in this movie were pretty poor. I tried to like them but they were such bad CGI. Try watching any of the resident evil movies.

I'm not sure how much of the movie you have to watch before being allowed to review. I won't lie, 30 minutes was all I could stand. I just couldn't take much more after this. I thought, well, that's 30 minutes of my life I will never get back. I watched this movie due to the good reviews that were posted here. I can only guess that, seeing they make way too much of a deal about the vote in Canada, that Canadians would probably love it. So, for those who reside on the other side of the world, we just didn't care about this part of the movie. Sorry. Jay Baruchel has to be the most annoying actor ever. That voice is just like listening to finger nails being dragged down a chalk board. He totally destroyed The Sorcerer's Apprentice. Completely ruined it. His whole fumbling, bumbling schtick has been done to death and by better actors. He needs a new angle. So in conclusion, I wanted to poke my own eyes out with a fork rather than put up with more than 30 minutes of this woeful film. Watch at your own peril.

I'm sorry but I got duped again by the reviews on IMDb.I read here that this is a good scary movie (but not a lot of blood and guts). I think there were about 2 scenes that unnerved me and that's it. It took way too long to get to the point by which time I had started to washing the dishes. Don't waste your brain cells on this one. Try "the Hole" by Joe Dante. He knows horror movies. None of the characters scared me or made a connection to me as the viewer. The acting was fairly poor. I was expecting a kind of Rosemaries baby or The Omen or something like that. What I got was way too much buildup before something happened. By then I was bored.

I thought it was as good as Starship Troopers 2. Yes, that is taking the mickey. I thought the cast was awful. I love the Rock in everything else so far but even for him, this was a wooden performance. I too have been an avid fan of the game since early 90's. I was so looking forward to this. When I heard that Dwayne was going to be in it, I thought cool. My wife wanted to walk out in the middle and she is an avid fan also. I also have to agree with comments by others here, ID software sold out. They are trying to squeeze every last cent out of what was once the greatest computer game ever. Any half wit could have written a better storyline / screenplay. How very, very sad.
