The Sandman (2022)
What just happened?
How do you have a show that starts so well with such promise (episodes 1-5) and then from 6-10 it just change to an absolutely different program?
The first half was dark, thrilling, interesting, fantastic.
The second half of the season? - AWFUL acting, complete change in direction, storylines that made no sense, the list goes on - it was a slog to get through it.
The entire first season should have been about Dream regaining his powers and starting to rebuild his kingdom, why did they waste time on the whole Vortex thing?
Also, why were loads of characters putting on such bad American accents when they're all British and the vast majority of it was filmed in the UK? - They found really random places from the 70s (bungalows) and put a few American flags and fake mailboxes there like it would convince people, same thing with the beach.
Why not just give them all British accents? - It was one of the parts that really lessened it because the accents were so bad, so so bad which added to the awfulness that was the latter half of the first season.
The Tomorrow War (2021)
What happened to the second half?
First half? Really good.
Second half? Really bad. Like, full of cliche and obvious yet really rediculous events.
Loki (2021)
Watchable but not good
I can't really even describe it, it's definitely not Loki by any means. This show seems to be something else entirely..... And that's not a good thing.
Ratched (2020)
It's American horror story with less horror
That's not to say its bad by any means, it's a good story but there are definitely too many similarities.
Godzilla: King of the Monsters (2019)
It's what Godzilla is supposed to be.
Not totally sure why people are coming out of seeing the film with the 'it's not what I expected' attitude.
It's Godzilla, it's based on the King of monsters fighting to keep the title (literally, but not literally...).
It's everything I loved about all the previous iterations, the raw power, the sound, the death toll, the bleak realisation that humans are so low down the food chain thier existence is almost pointless.
Absolutely spot on, good cast etc. If I had one criticism, it'd be the flamboyant disregard for the effects of radiation - they use it like fire but without the consequences of nuclear fallout :D
From a House on Willow Street (2016)
Awful.
I watched this film because of it's 7.9 rating.
5 minutes in I started thinking...this doesn't come across like a 7.9, ten more minutes passed - it's not a 7.9.
Clearly someone has been playing with the votes, this film is awful. The acting is terrible along with the cast, the story is sub par and the horror aspect it predictable and very much not even remotely jumpy.
Avoid this film at all cost.
