The Donna Reed Show: Winner Takes All (1962)
Hard to Watch, Amazingly True to Life
This Show should be a prerequisite for all parents whose children are beginning anything that will involve competition.
If my husband had seen this particular show at the beginning of my son's martial arts career, it's quite possible that my sons life could have been altered.
Left for Dead: The Ashley Reeves Story (2021)
Another True Horror Story
An unbelievable story of what a victim and her family were put through, not only by the monster who committed the crime, but by the town's people passing judgment on the victim and trying to find sympathy for the criminal.
No behavior from the victim, even if she would have been a prostitute could give any justification for such viciousness and brutality.
S.W.A.T.: Under Siege (2017)
I watched the entire movie.
Bad and unbelievable fight scenes especially with the women.
The acting wasn't much better.
Long drawn out and Predictable.
The Hottie & the Nottie (2008)
Don't let the Low ratings or Paris Hilton keep you from watching.
I was thrown off by Paris Hilton and almost let this cute movie slip by. Christine Lakin & Joel David Moore were the stars of this gross at first, cute romantic movie.
Obviously the people giving this low budget movie the low ratings didn't watch the entire movie or have no appreciation for Romantic Romedies.
Airline Disaster (2010)
I Can't Believe I Watched the whole thing.
With the exception of Meredith Baxter, the entire cast were B actors at best and the majority of them were laughable. The special effects were subpar.
I can see where they did put money into making the film and the story line was good.
Bender (2016)
This movie is Not one of the good Independent movies out there.
I expected more from a movie with Linda Purl, Bruce Davison, Buck Taylor & James Karen.
Even as 1800's American History, the story was lacking.
Nothing But the Truth (2008)
The Ending makes the movie.
This was a one time movie for me and it was a little drawn out at times, but the shocker at the end makes it well worth the watch.
The Whole Truth (2009)
It's just so.... Stupid!
If you have time to kill you might enjoy laughing at the movie. Not with the movie.
The Lost Footage of Leah Sullivan (2018)
Waste of my Time
It was a good enough movie, but I prefer an Outcome, Good or Bad. The movie didn't leave me wanting more, it made me feel like I should have watched something else!
Airspeed (1999)
LOL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
A "13 year old" makes a perfect landing with a 727 Jetliner. She has no flying experience and is told in just 5 steps how to land the plane before her phone goes dead. Of course the man who told her what to do is the air traffic (with an amusing haircut) controller who figures out all of the ideas on how to perform the previous rescue attempts. He has all the knowledge, as the actual pilot of the rescue plane and older air traffic controllers are dumbfounded.
Pilots everywhere beware, 13 year olds will be taking your jobs.
Santa Claus coming to the rescue would be more realistic.
Deadly Inferno (2016)
Modern Disaster Movie
All Anglo cast with one minority who's the self sacrificing hero of the day. Big Surprise.
The movie could have saved money by doing without the horrible acting of the main characters wife and daughter.
The Final Alliance (1990)
Good Story, But...
Terrible acting from all the supporting actors Including Hasselhoff. The 2 bad guys and also the real stars were ok.
B movie.
Bermuda Tentacles (2014)
Oh No..... Linda!
It was no Terminator.
I'm a big Hamilton fan but this movie was PU-BAD!
The acting was ok considering they spent a lot of time making faces and looking into nothing, as in where the aliens were supposed to have been.
A supposed romance just showed up out of the blue with nothing leading up to it. A Potatoe on a Stick would have been more believable and shown more emotion than the so called actress playing opposite Trevor Donavan.
The Borrowed Christmas (2014)
It's a Good Play that was Filmed.
It's not a big budget movie, it's obviously an independent.
It's no different than going to a local theater and watching a good play with local actors and basic stage props for free I might add. Hopefully no one would pick apart a local play and compare it to Broadway. I just watched it for the 2nd Christmas season. It has a good story line and the two main characters have good chemistry together.
Merry Ex-Mas (2014)
Refreshing Story Line
I don't understand the other reviews? I thought it was a good as all the other cookie cuter assembly line Christmas movies. If the bad reviews are due to it lacking the Hallmark label, I've seen some real stinkers come from them.
Five Star Christmas (2020)
Refreshing New Storyline
I found this Hallmark Christmas movie to have a fresh and fun theme.
All Hallmark Christmas Love Stories are predictable and have the same outcome, but that's the exact reason that we tried and true fans watch them year after year.
As always, Bethany Joy Lenz does not disappoint with her realistic acting. It would have been nice if we were allowed to hear more of her beautiful singing voice.
The location and set was warm and beautiful. I thought the supporting cast was well fitted for the story.
Chemistry between the leads was there, but would have been better if the story line had given them more time together for romance to build.
Faith, Hope & Love (2019)
A little slow at times.
It was a good movie, but I found the lead actor annoying when he attempted to sign himself. He looked like he was clumsily brushing crumbs off of his shirt before he ate.
As the writer and director he should have done his research and not been so lazy with the Sign of the Cross of it was important enough to put in the movie multiple times.
Midway to Love (2019)
Adequate if nothing better is available to watch.
There are better Independent Romantic movies out there.
The male romantic lead is a terrible actor that looks like he stepped out of a rag box. He has No Chemistry with the lead actress which is a must in a romance.
Its like someone had an idea for a movie, found a grand house and a castle and there ya go.
Jackie & Ryan (2014)
Excellent Music
Beautiful guitar and singing, but movie was too depressing/boring and stopped watching half way through.
No One Would Tell (2018)
This movie should be a High School Requisite for all Freshmen!
I personally felt a sense of deja vu while watching this movie.
All students should be made aware of this issue before boys, girls and peer pressure take over.
Death is not always the outcome. Years of abuse can follow as well as abuse of their children.
This movie is a must see for girl and boy early teens.
Quantico (2015)
Obvious Political Agenda, Sex and Beautiful Actors
Soap Opera.
It was entertaining, at least for the one season that I made myself finish.
At times this show was hard to keep up with as it was half flash back. Netflix has a great back up feature if that's what you enjoy using.
Christmas Camp (2018)
Not up to par.
I can't help but thinking that this movie was the last on the list as far as budget went. I couldn't pinpoint if it was bad screenwriting, bad directing or bad acting or a combination of Bad. The sterile atmosphere inside the Inn looked as though someone took a box of assorted mismatched Christmas decorations and threw them in any available space. Hallmark makes many good movies every year and there has to be a stinker every so often.
I hope they meet their quota with this one.
Time for Me to Come Home for Christmas (2018)
Not Realistic
If you don't mind the terrible fake southern accents, bad lip sink and awkwardness you might enjoy this movie. I found it mediocre at best and I am a fan of most of the Hallmark cliche Christmas Movies.
La casa de papel (2017)
Spaghetti Western?
I found this series to be a modern Spaghetti Western.
They have done a better job of matching the voices to the movement of the mouth but I found the sound quality is still not up to par. It's still another basic movie about a heist, it's just drawn out more.
Hold the Dark (2018)
Great Thriler, with a confusing end for those of us that did not read the book.
Watching this movie for me, was like watching an entire Oscars Ceremony until the very end and not be given the winners names in the Best Actor, Actress or Movie catagories.
It was not until I read the review "Read the book if you are confused" that the ending made sense to me.
I like a good thriller, but when a movie leaves you hanging because it didn't give you all of the information, that's
a bad movie. Movies like this should come with a warning, that you must first read the book, to understand the ending.
The screenwriter should get out of the movie business!
