Tommy Boy (1995)
Your brain has a shell on it!
Do you find fat people amusing?? Do you find jokes about fat people amusing? Do you find skinny people making jokes about fat people amusing?? Then this is a movie for you!! Chris Farley was a great comedian, and he managed to make David Spade funny as well (we all know how truly unfunny he is on his own).
This is a movie about a fat retarded college-grad who has to take on the world when his dad dies. And his pot-smoking college-years are not gonna help him.
Being the son of the towns biggest industry-owner can be a paradise. But what happens when your dad dies and you must save the business? And how are you gonna be able to do that when your whole life has consisted of drinking beer and smoking (and I'm not talking about Marlboro here). You get some help from your friends! Or in this case your former friend who hates your guts because you're a fat retard who smoked away your brain (if you ever had one), while he has been working his ass of for your fathers company.
And what's up with your fathers new wife and her son? How the HELL could your father land Bo freaking Derek?!? OK, he was rich, but he sure wasn't good looking.
And isn't your friend's hair a bit strange?!?!?
Well, Farley manages to pull this movie through, despite all the fat-jokes. And I actually laughed at Spade as well (fancy that). It might not make it into the top-100 list of all times, but if you want a cozy evening with your girl/boyfriend this might be the movie for you.
Chappelle's Show (2003)
Yawn!!!
OMG!!! How can you even watch this crap..???..??? I'm SOOOOOOO sorry, but Dave Chapelle IS NOT FUNNY!! Is it just me or do you have to be black to understand the jokes????? I've got to admit that I'm not the biggest fan of American comedy-shows, but this has got to be rock bottom.
And to say that their acting is great just shows how little you know. No one in the show is convincing (and/or funny).
C'mon you guys. You need to go to Britain and get some humor-classes. Britain makes the funniest shows, always have and always will. I don't know if it's something in the water over there or if it's because they're all inbreed. Still they're some crazy funny people!! So, Chapelle Show=NOOOOOO British comedies=YEEEEEES
Little Britain (2003)
My tummy hurts!
As people have different taste in everything, humor doesn't differ.
To me, this is one of the funniest British shows ever. It is in the top with Fawlty Towers, Bottom and The Fast Show (YES, Bottom is still funny).
Sure, it's tacky and rude, but isn't that a reflection of the world today. I can understand if some snobs don't like it because vomit and nakedness is a part of the show, but don't say that it's made by people who don't understand humor.
I'm Swedish and see a couple of Vicky Pollards on our streets every day. And I don't care if they're "repeating the same jokes every show". As long as it's funny that's fine by me. You can't be innovative with every single part of the show.
So, all in all, this is really the dogs b****cks!!
Shriek If You Know What I Did Last Friday the Thirteenth (2000)
Horrible
I'm gonna be honest right away. I went to a friends house because he said he had Scary Movie 4. I didn't like the last one but I thought "heck, why not. It can't be that bad". Halfway through the movie I started wondering why none of the Wayans were in it, and how the hell they could make such a crappy movie. Naturally we weren't watching Scary Movie 4. We were watching this excuse for a movie.
The whole thing is terrible. The acting sucks (yeah I know. "It's a parody, they aren't supposed to be taking it serious". Still, They really suck!! The funny parts (if there are any), are really not funny. All I'm wondering is if the big shots at the movie company were stoned when they agreed to produce this "movie". And, did any of the actors actually read the script before agreeing to be in it??? I'm never gonna complain about movies being boring ever again.
Conclusion: This movie makes "Simon Sez" appear to be awesome!!
