Cinderella (2021)
Good entertainment
Why all the hate? Sure, it's absurd, ridiculous, over the top weird and at times kinda cringey, but I liked it.
My only big issue is Camila Cabellos singing, but I guess that's a matter of personal taste.
The Nutcracker and the Four Realms (2018)
I quite liked it
It's a sweet and magical fairytale, i can't really remember much of what happened in the original ballet version, so I couldn't compare it, which might be a good thing here. It's clearly meant for children, which might be why so many adults here think it's boring and weird. One thing that really bothered me though was Claras hair, that kept going from perfect bun to ponytail to something messy in between, and then suddenly back to perfect bun which fell into the something in between in a change of camera angle and then ended up in a ponytail. It's a quite big continuity error...
Birds of Prey and the Fantabulous Emancipation of One Harley Quinn (2020)
Fun violence
I can't really understand why this movie gets so much hate, I really liked it. Yes it's a bit messy, but I didn't mind it. I've noticed everyone giving it a 1 star seems to take issue with how men are portrayed.. so they're probably men, who doesn't like to watch bad men getting their ass kicked by women..
Albion: The Enchanted Stallion (2016)
Fun adventure
I quite liked it, but I usually like most fairytale films.. sure, it's no masterpiece, plenty of flaws and you can tell this film didn't have the highest budget, (the make up in particular is horrendous) but all in all an entertaining, adventurous fairytale film.
There was one thing that really bothered me though: Debra Messing. Oh boy was that a big casting mistake! She was nowhere near an Irish or Scottish, or whatever she was going for, accent. She painfully destroyed every scene she was in.
Other than that - great fun!
Hancock (2008)
Ok entertaining
I was waiting for that big hero vs villain showdown, and it just... never happened. Which made the whole story kind of "flat", it was never really thrilling, I was never worried if he was gonna make it or not...
I kinda feel like this was the origin movie, and there was supposed to be a more films where the villain came back stronger and actually posed a threat.
But quite funny and absolutely entertaining.
Moonraker (1979)
What just happened?
This has got to be the weirdest plot development in all the Bond movies. And that laser space battle.. did not see that coming.
And I got to say, for one who's up until recently had only watched the 90's and after Bond movies, I'm really surprised how bad an agent he was in the first half of the movies. He makes really bad decisions and he messes up time after time because he thinks with his d**** and can't focus on the job if there's a woman around. Oh, and the fact that EVERYONE knows who he is, but he doesn't get that at all and keeps falling for the same traps is just ridiculous..
Man, he dumb..
A Christmas Prince: The Royal Baby (2019)
So bad it kinda pissed me off
The first two movies were bad, but in a fun and entertaining way, all the cliches and the ridiculously American interpretation of what a royal family is and what exactly is a regents job.
This third instalment on the other hand was just incredibly bad in every way, the plot is so thin and predictable, the script is lazy at best and the characters seems to have all become caricatures. Really, really bad caricatures.
At some point I actually got so annoyed at how bad it was I could barely watch it to the end.
Season of the Witch (2011)
Could have been good
So many great actors, a quite interesting plot, but just too many weaknesses in the script and at times some weirdly poor acting. And who on this earth would cast Nicholas Cage in this?? He just ruins every scene he appears in, which is basically all.. it's a bit sad really, cause some minor tweaks and a different actor for Cages character could have made this a quite alright movie.
Van Helsing (2004)
So bad it's good
It is really quite fascinating to watch such a great cast working so hard and acting so good with such an amazingly bad script!
Poor Kate Beckinsale has the most misogynistic costumes and incredibly stupid lines, you can hardly take her seriously.
The whole movie actually can be hard to take seriously, it's so ridiculous and full of clichés, and yet it's so entertaining and fun!
I Kill Giants (2017)
Massively underrated!
This movie caught me totally off guard. Was expecting adventure action, got something quite different, so moving and beautiful I cried through almost the entire second half..
I can not believe how this film has managed to go so unnoticed!
Can't really give away much of the story without spoiling it.. Wich is probably why the image and description is kinda misleading
