Uncle Frank (2020)
Absolutely Fabulous, I'll watch again and again!
As a 59 year old "southern gay man" I very much disagree with the 58 year old "southern gay man" that gave this a 1 star rating. He must've seen a different film. The screenplay is great and insightfully written, the casting incredible and the acting and directing flawless. For anyone to give this film less than a solid 7 doesn't appreciate great movie making. For those that do however I would emphatically recommend this movie.
Coin Heist (2017)
Super Silly Movie
The premise is wonderful, the actuality of the script is bonkers. Unlike another reviewer here I do not find Netflix Originals groundbreaking in totality They are some of the worst put together movies I have ever seen. They are even starting to produce Lifetime-like movies only using b-c list actors instead of f-g list ones. This movie is watchable however... not mad at it. Just absurd in the sense that none of this could really happen.
Get A Clue (2020)
OMG GSN... YIKES
Nope, not going to work for me. Please replace with something entertaining and not so hard to watch. This timeslot could be put to better use for sure like reruns of supermarket sweep.... I can't wait for the Leslie Jones version to come on ABC. Meanwhile just put this to bed because the host definitely does not have the most.
Fatal Affair (2020)
How many times will this movie be made?
Another stalking / obsession driven narcissistic psychopath wreaking havoc on an emotionally damaged woman. You've seen this movie before, the title was different and the actors were different but the movie is the exact same Lifetime movie you've seen dozens of times. I'm not sure how so many different writers can take credit for what is basically one movie "written" over and over and over again. Or why they would even want to for that matter. Having ranted that, the acting is fine. Omar Epps' David is very convincing as the loser in this predictable rehash. Nia Long's Ellie is okay as well, but did nothing for the roll that would make it stand out from all the others. What receptionist in a luxury urban high-rise apartment building would hand over a tenants key to someone walking in off the street claiming to be a friend? The one in this movie did, with a smile! Ellie did, I think, set a record for guessing someone's password. When her married name didn't unlock David's laptop she put in her maiden name and bingo, she's in. Go ahead and watch it if the one playing on Lifetime right now is one you've already seen, if not it's a crap shoot. It is sad that Netflix, in it's quest to have unlimited content, has resorted to producing Lifetime movies... smh!
Air Collision (2012)
Unbelievably Bad
This has got to be one of the worst air disaster films I have ever seen. I am a very big fan of the genre, show me a movie with an airliner and a looming disastrous situation and I'm happy. The special effects in this movie are comical. It's a movie from 2012 but the special-effects look like they might be from the 1950s. The acting is just OK given the poor vehicle the actors were given, they did what they could. Given all of the media available today there is no reason for anyone to ever watch this.
Holiday in Handcuffs (2006)
What? Really??
Absolutely the most incredible silly premise for any movie ever. Not really worth watching unless you have absolutely nothing else to watch which in these the days of mass production and media overload that's an impossibility so go to the next one.
