A Taste of Praise (2023)
These stories need to be told
I'm glad stories that highlight the hypocrisy of "tolerance" are being told. It's not bigotry to have a belief of right and wrong and someone standing up for what they believe is traditionally something to celebrate but lately it seems that you aren't allowed to do so. No one is denying anyone the right to get married or have a cake, this person simply didn't want to bake one for something they believe is morally wrong based on their faith. No one would object if he didn't want to make a birthday cake for Jeffrey Dahmer. No one would object if the owner was Muslim. Only because he's a Christian does this cause such controversy. So happy this movie was made!
The Chosen One (2023)
It's ok but...
I didn't choose this but was willing to give it a shot. The director tries to get a little too artsy and didn't do proper research into what he's trying to portray. One example is the pastor of the evangelical church is shown with a JW book while firing up the crowd. If you can get past poor directing choices and a convoluted storyline then it's good for some passive entertainment I guess. And the first two episodes are difficult to get through but you have to get to them to get to the somewhat entertaining parts. And we're supposed to be ok with a twelve year old making out with a girl in her room... Just overall weird.
