Best Christian film to date!
6 November 2006
The best Christian movie I and my wife have ever seen. We have known the Lord for 32 years and have seen a lot of films. We are both 56 years old. We have seen the picture 8 times so far...and counting. It never gets old. Can't wait for the DVD. My wife Kathy said that we need to watch it at least once a day...to keep the devil away!!! I wish every teenager in America could see it. The trash they are feeding on...well, they need to see this film! Every moment is alive with 'electricity'. The acting is as natural as any I have ever seen. The story is 'real', this could be anybody's life anywhere. The common folk depicted with common folk problems. God makes His entry when Grant Taylor turns to Him with all of his broken heart. We all can immediately identify with his character and with many of the other characters as well. Drama, suspense, comedy, faith, hope, and love all packaged into one beautiful film.A definite must see for everyone born to Adam's race! The back-ground music inspiring and heart rendering! The songs make you want to shout! Like it was said 'if they get a hold of this, it'll change their lives!!' I most assuredly agree. Praise God!! Top notch movie
31 March 2006
I saw the hanging tree when I was 8. I am now 55. I'll never forget this movie. It left a lasting impression on me. Why is this film not offered as a DVD? I await the glorious day. I have been singing the last verse of the title song, that Marty Robbins sang, all these years. I'll never forget how the song started up when Doc Frail was about to be hung and Elisabeth came to the forefront to buy his life with the title deed to the mine and the gold they had. She was about to walk away, thinking Frail had no interest in her. Then he called out her name 'Elisabeth!' She turned toward him while the song, The Hanging Tree was warming up to the moment! What a moment! After all these years I still feel what I felt when I was 8 years old and watching it for the first time. To bad movie making like that is a thing of the past. Devon Leesley
