I am Madaousic. I love movies.
I am also slightly autistic, so I like to arrange them into certain patterns which makes me abuse the list-making feature quite a lot.

Simply put, movies for my mom.
Like most cases, my mother has an abysmal taste in film, meaning that she struggles to sit through anything other than uplifting light entertainment.
Since the stuff I normally watch doesn't fit these criteria, I decided to compile a list of movies that would prove to be accessible for her, but at the same time not insulting to the viewer's intelligence.
The following list strives to gather films that are inoffensive, in good taste, preferably devoid of profanity, excessive misery, with an uplifting twist, but at the same time restrained and free of Paulo-Coelho-tier preaching.

Films that failed to meet my expectations. These are usually based upon the names involved in the production, often combined with themes seemingly appropriate for their handling.

Movies featuring the theme of contemplating or confronting the past. Usually it's achieved by either depicting character's life over long period of time, or by constantly referring to some significant past events.
This is a personal favourite of mine as far as the overall themes go. Not only because I am a sucker for some nostalgia, but I believe that the fourth dimension instantly adds a lot of depth to the story and gets as close to the "true depiction" of life as possible.
Of course, it doesn't mean that every movie dealing with the past is great by its own virtue, which makes this list a collision of both great and not-so-great movies.
