Hasee Toh Phasee (2014)
Not epic, but watchable
The movie has a few flaws. Thing that irritates me the most is when something change suddenly without any reason. Like Parineeti was acting all weird at the start of her character but for no apparent reason all of a sudden starts acting somewhat normal, without any apparent reason, makes you ask why? how come?? Was it because she was in love ??? I give up.
That aside, the movie on it's own is watchable and somewhat different. It will definitely appeal to the masses and might just get some attention from the critics. Siddharth in my opinion is a good future prospect. Parineeti has done a good job. The senior actors paid their parts nicely. The surprise package for me was Anil Mange, I think he was brilliant, hats off to him. Songs are appropriate and a few of them will become very popular with the masses. You can watch and enjoy this movie with your family, it may not be the best movie you have seen but will not make you regret watching it either.
Queen (2013)
Queen, is certainly a different kind of a movie.
The sense of humour is certainly of a different nature and you will have to 'sink' into the mood of the situation to enjoy it. The first part, as compared to the second, is somewhat slow but hang in there the movie only gets better as it proceeds. I believe Kangana will leave her mark with this role of hers, I would be surprised not to see her as one of the best actress Bollywood has in it's current arsenal after this performance. I have always considered Kangana as a brilliant actress, who is somewhat under rated for her talents. Rajkumar Rao on the other hand does not do anything for me, I think the hype created about his acting is way over rated (that's just my opinion), he has done an okay'ish job. The movie overall works but may not be everyone's cup of tea.
Noah (2014)
Noah is worth watching
All Praise to the Almighty Lord. Thanks to the era we are living in, where we get to see cinematic magic. Although the story is somewhat different to what you would have read, it's a new take on the topic. The story may not be to the liking of many but on a whole this is definitely a movie worth watching, if not for anything, just to see the potential of how new era can bring biblical stories to life. Russell Crowe has risen up many levels with his acting in this movie and the rest of the team gelled-in well to deliver commendable performances. I thoroughly enjoyed the movie and never felt bore throughout the movie, so it's a thumbs up from me.
