The Flash: Fastest Man Alive (2014)
Another great episode
This episode was great. It felt really natural and this show looks like it's heading into a pretty awesome direction. I can't believe how well this show is combining everything together while at the same time satisfying comic-book fans. I would say as of now, it's a much stronger start than the first season of Arrow so far. It has the right amount of twists and turns, humor, and eye-candy for the visual effects freaks. *minor spoiler* We also are introduced to the side-effects of having a fast metabolism. I'm glad they've included that bit, and now it seems even more like the flash I grew up with. It was a great episode and it left me wanting more. I can't wait to see the next episode!
The Legend of Korra: Korra Alone (2014)
What a great episode
This was pretty interesting. The whole episode gave me chills, especially watching Korra continuously face a fear that Aang also had at one point, which is themselves. Really intriguing as well and that ending is bound to lead to something spectacular. Still not sure where the show is heading, but the possibilities are endless. Korra seems to be at her lowest point and in true despair and it looks like she is The Dark Knight, waiting to rise again. A really fun easter egg was included as well (the camera pictures). I don't think I've been this interested in Legend of Korra before, but I honestly can't wait for next week. I'm glad they've already got this bit over with instead of dragging it out until korra is faced with a problem and the usual Deus ex machina. Overall 9/10, for keeping it really interesting and especially the tie-ins to previous characters of Avatar the Last Airbender.
Godzilla (2014)
Godzilla's back!!!
The movie starts out with an interesting opening credits and Godzilla theme. Already, my Godzilla hype had begun. The heartbreaking opening was an interesting direction for a movie that had seemed to ignore that storyline completely, and a little waste of Cranston if you ask me. However the movie picked up quickly, and boy was it a fun ride! The visuals were just amazing to watch. The 3D isn't necessary but if you have a few bucks, go ahead. The human element as read by previous reviews, did indeed lack. The biggest peeve I had about the movie was that the big man himself (Godzilla) didn't show up until the last about half an hour and the teasings of him only made it excruciating to wait. When Godzilla came, my mind was blown by awesomeness. It made my insides into that of a 5-year old. Anyway in the end I give it a 8/10 and I would recommend you to watch it and if you can, in Imax 3D.
Game of Thrones: The Mountain and the Viper (2014)
Purely amazing episode!!!
This episode was mind boggling. Even having read the books, seeing the events unfold in real time, was just amazing. Sansa seemed to have finally caught up to the game of thrones world, while a heartbreaking truth was revealed to Dany. Arya and the hound had a short but a memorable scene and the Grey Worm scene was a fun side scene. Poor Tyrion is expected to watch his champions fight for both their and Tyrion's life. The last five minutes were intense and the ending was one of the most shocking and gruesome that had only been achieved previously by The Red Wedding. Hopefully poor Jon Snow will be able to handle the wrath that is about to come to the wall. 10/10 for this episode.
