With Six You Get Eggroll (1968)
Love movie/hate glaring plot hole
I love all of Doris Day's movies, including this one, but there's an obvious and glaringly huge plot hole...
The McClure maid Molly obviously lives in the McClure home as she appears in curlers and a bathrobe near the end of the movie and she's always forced to move to the smaller Iverson home whenever the family is at the larger McClure home... so her bedroom is empty for use by Stacie when she's gone, negating the need for the camper as an extra bedroom.
Since the plot is built around them needing an extra bedroom, it kills the whole movie's flow.
The other reason to deduct points is using the same pieces of music over and over and over. For instance Flip's transistor radio only plays one song. Doris drives home, the chase scene the lumber mill all use the same exact music.
Daddy's Girl (1973)
Daddy's Gril
A comedy about a newspaper man raising his young daughter without a mother. He has help from his live-in maid (Diane) whom his daughter Flossy refers to as Mumsy. This is a classic Eddie Albert piece in the vein of Green Acres where everyone around him seems to be crazy while he struggles to keep his sanity. His widow's sister is a snooping overly Christian snob who butts in constantly. He also has an overly friendly neighbor who is a nudist. Spoiler: In the chaos daughter Flossy inspires a local minister to write a sermon entitled "Adam & Eve - The First Nudists" which sends Aunt Mary into panicked hysterics. This was the middle part of a presentation called "Comedy Times Three" of 3 failed TV pilots that deserved air time. One of the others was "Big Daddy" Starting Rosey Greer as a cooking show host.
