East Side Sushi (2014)
Sushi.....Well done!
Terrific movie! Every aspect is top notch. Refreshing to see genuine respect for the people you work with and co-workers supporting each other. That respect leading to real caring and love between people of different cultures. We need more of this.
Gandhi, Untouchables and Me (2015)
Greater understanding of politics and social "norms" in India
A very unusually, but well done film about why India is where it is today socially. A "one man" show giving differing sides to the question of why isn't India a democracy and why are 200 million of your citizens mistreated by morally vacant upper castes. Yes, this system is alive and well in India under Modi. In this day and age how can this exist you ask?
This film explains much of this in language that we can understand. Helps to explain the systematic racial injustice that is happening in the US today.
Not to be missed!!!
Barbarian Utopia: Encounters on the Appalachian Trail (2019)
New Views on the AT
Watching this really filled in the gaps of hiking the AT. I have watched many other movies/documentaries on hiking the AT, but this one has it all. It is told by actual thru hikers, many as they reflect on sections they just hiked through. A lot of beautiful sections that you don't see on any other film.
I highly recommend for anyone to get a real taste fir the trail!!
Great to see Baltimorr Jack!
