Gunland (2014)
Chicago's Gun Violence Has Taken Over The City
Young people are dying everyday in Chicago and no one is really making any noise about the situation - when you watch/listen to the daily global news all you hear are the highlights of gruesome wars, robberies, politics, natural disasters. Of course, there are benefits of instantly being connected to latest story and being aware of what is going on in the world - but in a way - we become dehumanized - we start to look at another murder as "just another story" This documentary will make you stop and realize these are lives we are talking about - and there are babies dying who will never get the opportunity to see the age of 18! A Genius Leaves the Hood: The Unauthorized Story of Jay Z (2014)

Jay Z definitely believes in the power of association and unfortunately a lot of his friends who helped build him as an entertainer - did not make it into his blueprint for life. I think we are all guilty of outgrowing our friends at some point in our life...
