Dont waste your money!
10 March 2019
I dropped $50 taking the family to see Captain Marvel and everyone wanted to leave within the first 30 minutes.

We are all huge Marvel fans and this was a huge disappointment and stain to the usually dependable franchise.

I honestly wouldn't watch it for free, what a waste of money and time to produce this pile of trash.

Western Snoozer
23 November 2017
I was really looking forward to "Godless" coming out, what a disappointment it turned out to be. The casting was terrible with Jeff Daniels as the poorly portrayed villain, and Scoot McNairy as the boring Sheriff.

The Western seemed to want to dedicate considerable time to same sex relationships, and interracial love for no apparent reason. It is by far the slowest paced western ever created and will require ample amounts of coffee to get through.

The only ray of sunshine was- Kim Coates (SOA), Michelle Dockery (Downton Abbey), and Jack O'Connell who made the otherwise boring TV series watchable.

What a wasted opportunity for Netflix, it could have been so much more.

Bad, really bad.
9 November 2017
Shocking with all the big names attached to this film - George Clooney, Julian Moore, Matt Damon, etc etc .... it could be such a bomb.

After dropping $50 to see it with the family, we all agreed 20 minutes into the film it wasn't worth our time. I tried to get refund, but the theater manager just laughed.

We had a similar experience with Matt Damon's "Great Wall" movie and lasted about 30 minutes before succumbing to boredom.

I honestly cant imagine people in Hollywood screening this and thinking it was ready for release. It almost seems like they just attached a bunch of big names to this stinker just to fill seats. White Collar Crime at its finest.

Wasted Opportunity !!
23 November 2016
If you liked the original "Shooter" starring Mark Wahlberg, chances are you'll be more than disappointed in the TV series.

My biggest complaint lies with the casting of "Ryan Phillippe" as Bob Lee Swagger. Ryan is a fantastic actor but isn't even a remote fit for this role.

They also try to pander to all demographics by expanding the story and eventually losing the core viewers.

Could have really been a fantastic show, but Hollywood missed a golden opportunity.

Surprisingly "Lethal Weapon" managed to capture the essence of the original Movies, sadly "Shooter" failed.

Damon Wayans way too funny !!
23 September 2016
Let me start by saying, I've been a Damon Wayans fan since "In living Color", maybe thats part of the problem. Everything about him his funny, way too funny to seriously play "Roger Murtaugh".

The show is entertaining and im definitely looking forward to the next episode. "Clayne Crawford" does a fantastic job playing "Martin Riggs" and has done a fantastic job of owning his version of the character.

The 1st episode is over in a blink of an eye with non stop action from start to finish.

I have no idea who "Keesha Sharp" is, but she brings "Mrs Murtaugh" to life.

Too late to re-cast the roles, but Damon Wayans was a bad decision for Murtaugh.

Classic Mel Gibson
13 September 2016
I walked away from this movie wondering how I had forgotten about the 37 years of Oscar worthy performances, directing, and producing by Mel Gibson. He truly is one of the top 10 actors of his generation and only seems to improve on that in Blood Father.

I found myself going deep into my DVD collection and getting reacquainted with the Mad Max of 1979, Martin Riggs of Lethal Weapon, Braveheart, The Patriot, The Bounty, Air America, Maverick, What women want, etc... Every movie a classic on its own.

Erin Moriarty, should expect a best supporting actress Oscar for her brilliant performance.

Lets hope we haven't seen the end of Mel Gibson, he truly is still among the best. Not casting him in Mad Max 4 was criminal.

Blood Father is the unexpected summer breakout film in a season of flopping remakes.

Best fight scene ever
26 November 2015
If for no other reason, watch the fight scene with Emily Beecham (Widow) and about a dozen men. the writing, choreography, and acting in the scene is far above anything weve ever scene before. I actually had to the watch scene about 3 times to catch it all. It really was a work of art.

As for "into the Badlands" it has potential to be a great show but im not entirely sold yet. Much like the "Sparticus" series must of us just watched it for the fantastic fight scenes, hopefully Badlands take it a step further.

Enjoy !!

What a Waste !!
3 June 2015
As a die hard Mad Max fan, I was looking forward to the 4th installment of Mad Max. Tom Hardy (Mad Max) seemed like a fantastic choice for the role and Charlize Theron as Furiosa seemed like a good fit.

Little did I know the story was beyond weak and Tom Hardy would get little chance of portraying Mad Max. The entire movie seemed to focus on Furiosa, which is fine, if I went to see a Furiosa movie.

The budget seemed sufficient to recreate the essence of the Mad Max we all love, however the writer/director seemed to really have no interest in allowing Max to do his thing.

This was nothing more than a betrayal of Mad Max fans to promote Furiosa and perhaps her upcoming Furiosa trilogy. What a waste becomes because "Tom Hardy" is one of the best actors on the planet and could have done justice to the role as Mad Max.

Mr. Robot (2015–2019)

Captivating !!
30 May 2015
For anyone with doubts about whether they want to watch the show or not, do yourself a favor and watch the Pilot, you wont be disappointed. The show is about much more than hackers and computers, and takes us into a world must of us never see, the place where the 1% cool their heels.

"Rami Malek" (Elliot) makes a believer of us within the 1st 5 minutes of the pilot and keeps us glued to the set for the next hour. In some ways his choices mirror the choices of people in todays society.

My only criticism would be "Christian Slater" as Mr. Robot, while I like him as an actor, he just doesn't fit in the role of Mr. Robot. There are so many better suited actors that could have elevated the role. You really need a "Gabriel" (John Travolta) type character from Swordfish to complete the show.

Tarantino meets Ian Fleming
21 May 2015
What a wonderfully surprising movie with dozens of unexpected twists and turns. Its rare that you find a movie that successfully blends comedy, drama, and action while maintaining a captivating story line.

The disabled female assassin, Gazelle (Sofia Boutella), really took Quentin Tarantino style action to a new level. Colin Firth gives an Oscar worthy performance as usual. The young Taron Egerton as Eggsy undoubtedly has a bright future in acting ahead of him with a flawless performance.

82 y/o Micheal Caine continues to dazzle us with his portrayal of Auther.

If you liked Kill Bill or any of the James Bond movies you'll love this.

Hats off to all the actors, writers, directer, etc... So far best movie of 2015.

Bobby Brown - Redemption
19 January 2015
Who doesn't love Whitney Houston? We have all enjoyed her music, video's, and acting performances. It could honestly be said there was a time she was both the best actress and singer of the moment.

This movie is controversial at best and completely challenges our belief that bad boy Bobby Brown corrupted an angelic Whitney Houston. Is it possible it was all smoking mirrors and Bobby Brown was actually a much better man than the press gave him credit for, was he the one corrupted and belittled?

For those of you that lived through the era, Bobby Brown was larger than life, 1st in the highly successful boy band, New Edition, and as a solo singer song writer. Hits like "My Prerogative" and "Every Little Step" were on the radio 24/7 and the Video's were captivating. What could he have become if his path hadn't crossed with the great Whitney Houston?

Hopefully this movie is part 1 in what should be a miniseries.

Anti War movie about PTSD
10 January 2015
I was looking forward to watching American Sniper, wow was I disappointed to find it was nothing more than a drama about PTSD told from his wife's perspective. Hard to believe it was Directed by Clint Eastwood.

Don't waste your money on the movie or the DVD. If you haven't seen "Shooter" ( http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0822854/?ref_=fn_al_tt_4 ) with Mark Walhberg its a much better choice.

The casting was terrible, story bounced around a lot, and the entire thing was just poorly written, directed, and conceived. What should have been a great patriotic movie about an American Hero, Chris Kyle, was turned into an anti war propaganda piece that tarnished a great mans reputation and legacy.

Wonderful Story
8 January 2015
"The Giver" is a wonderful story that leaves you asking so many of life's questions. Everyone will get something different out of the movie as it can be viewed from many perspectives. Im sure the 2nd time I watch it I will experience a very different emotion than the 1st.

"Brenton Thwaites" gives a great performance as Jonas, "Jeff Bridges" gives yet another Oscar worthy performance, and "Odeya Rush" as Fiona was a breath of fresh air.

Kudos to the writer, director, CGI, and the entire production staff, you really made us all believers and left us pondering a lot of answered questions.

You'll need lots of coffee to get through it
6 January 2015
The concept of the movie is fantastic - "Three friends discover a mysterious machine that takes pictures 24hrs into the future and conspire to use it for personal gain".

The movie rarely leaves one of the 2 rooms its shot in and fails to deliver on anything promised. Its basically just a dialog between 3 not so great actors.

Doubtful anyone would find it interesting so don't waste your time trying to watch it. If you must try, make sure you have some coffee on hand and some tooth picks to prop your eyes open with, its a real snoozer.

Hate myself for loving this Movie !
30 December 2014
I decided to go see this movie for 1 reason, I've never watched a James Franco movie I didn't enjoy. Imagine my surprise when I spent the entire movie glued to my seat. Im not a big fan of comedy, but this transcends any category of film. The writing, directing, acting, and sets were all top notch.

While I was uncomfortable with James Franco's character, Dave Skylark, he owned it and made you a believer in the end. Diana Bang, as Sook, gives a supporting actress performance and an action sequence that rivals Al Pacino in Scarface. Randall Park, as Prez Kim, captures our imagination and sucks us in with authenticity on screen.

The entire cast, crew, writing team, director, etc.. should be commended on a fantastic film from all perspectives.

Don't listen to all the hype, this a fun and captivating movie.

Surprisingly Fantastic !!
23 December 2014
I was apprehensive about viewing it, most summaries and trailers really didn't sell me on the movie. With no "A" list stars there's really not much that draws you to spend the bucks to see it. Trust me, it will be the best entertainment investment you make this year.

"Dan Stevens" gives an Oscar worthy performance and entrances you with his command of the character. No doubt there's bigger things in his future. "Sheila Kelley" also does a fantastic job of drawing us into her sadness and pain.

I wouldn't advise taking any children under 18 as the violence and situations are extremely graphic.

Surprisingly Terrible !!
8 December 2014
Honestly don't waste your time on this!

I really had great expectations going into the Pilot, the cast looked credible, the storyline plausible, but sadly both failed to deliver. Noah Wyle gives a poor performance as the Librarian, and Rebecca Romijn as the Guardian seems awkward and out of place. The supporting cast also lacked believability and the entire thing just seemed low budget, and poorly written.

Lindy Booth, as Cassandra, always gives a top notch performance, and was the one jewel amongst the rubble. Christian Kane also brings some light to an otherwise dismal show, hopefully he moves on to something more worthy of his talent.

Surprisingly great !!
24 September 2014
Honestly after reading the description of the show I wasn't too excited about watching the 1st episode. But it had me hook, line, and sinker after the first 5 minutes.

Ioan Gruffudd gives a great performance as Henry Morgan, and Alana De La Garza as Det Jo Martinez is fantastic as always.

Its refreshing to see time was spent on character development, writing, and directing. Too many shows are casting "A" list actors and then putting out a poor planned product. Hats off to the entire cast and crew.

Looking forward to upcoming season.
