Bad Moms (2016)
Ugh, is this an SNL movie?
Can't believe this is labeled as a comedy. The writing's terrible, half of the acting is sub-par and unbelievable, the kid and male characters are almost entirely superficial, the humor is demeaning, and I can't fathom why anyone would agree to do this movie. The only redeeming aspect is that it has a few well-known stars with real acting chops. Unfortunately, most of their talent is wasted on the poorly developed plot. Only watch it if you want to waste a couple hours... maybe watch it muted.
Battle for Skyark (2015)
Meh
If you like suspense and CGI, this movie's okay, but otherwise it's lacking... seems like it's a trial piece to build a resume. Plot might be decent, but couldn't finish due to sub-par acting from kids who don't have much life experience to reflect fear, desparation or loss. Maybe that's a win for society, but it makes for an unrealistic performance.
Trust the rating. It's not great.
Grandpa's Magical Toys (1988)
A good, fun-filled flick for smaller kids!
The story has a decent plot and some good life lessons. My 1 and 2-year-old watch it from beginning to end. Songs are plentiful and some might stick in your mind for awhile. Some actors crossover into other Wee Sing titles (Punchinello, crayon, etc.), while others are world-class talent. One of the better Wee Sing titles. All in all, a timeless kid video - comparable to Barney. Most songs should be familiar.
Synopsis: Grandson and two friends are magically miniaturized in a room filled with living toys (mostly dolls and animals). They all enjoy singing songs while playing games. All the while, they look for Grandpa's missing key. The toys all come together in the end to help find the key and get the kids back to normal size.
