Shazam! Fury of the Gods (2023)
Fun, action-packard, a bit shallow, but very entertaining
I was surprised that this movie is rated at 9 years recommended age limit here in Norway, because it has a couple of disturbing scenes which I would prefer to not let my son see. But all in all the movie is a great adrenalin rush and some humoristic scenes from beginning to end, and a non stop entertaining movie for those who mainly go to movies for the effects and the sound system.
It's not actually my cup of tea, but it has everything you need for a dad-and-son movie, my son is 9 and he loved the first movie.
It's in the alley of Kick-Ass. The sequel was a bit more shallow than the first. Story/plot is richer in the first movie. Good fun and great cultural references from time to time!
Surplus: Terrorized Into Being Consumers (2003)
Mesmerizing
What I like about this documentary is that it in its boldness brings up a still more relevant question: why do we allow ourselves to be brainwashed like this? Still?
And all those hypocrites ruining our once mediocre but still kind of working democracy, exposed. Those politicians. Their words. Really?
What are we doing?
This is more relevant than ever.
But what I like the most is the rhythmic, hypnotic style this documentary is full-packed with. It really gets me tuned in.
Gisaengchung (2019)
Subtle, moving, intriguing and beautifully directed
It's a great story about social differences which will leave you amazed by its photographic qualities, the performances by the actors, and the plot!
I adore the way this movie is able to tell the story without being so stereotypically in-your-face about who is the bad guy and who is the good one.
If you like Lars von Trier and Stanley Kubrick, I think you will love this movie.
Puppet Master 5 (1994)
The most ridiculous thing I've ever seen
This movie is so bad it's funny. The acting is so stupid and untalented that you get a good laugh.
