Jurassic Park (1993)
Must Love Dinosaurs!!!
Based off the bestselling Michael Crighton Novel, Steven Spielberg got inspired by the King Kong Ride at Universal Studios and brought to life a theme park never seen before by man! Very likable characters that are invited to the theme park island located off of Central America not knowing what inhabits it... DINOSAURS brought back to life!!! After wondering "How do you do it?!" the movie explains very well how the dinos were cloned from dna taken from a fly dug up from fossils. The owner and dreamer of the park thinks that the park will bring a lot of success to tourists, but first must see approval by experts who predict and theorize the dangers and consequences of messing with an extinct species that humans know nothing about. And that's the whole theme of this movie "You don't mess with nature or it will fight back!" And what do you know things start going wrong and all **** breaks loose! The power goes out and the fences go down and the dinosaurs get loose. It turns from a beautiful moving picture to a survival game for the guests of the park. They try to make their way to get a chopper and get off the island after discovering for themselves that the park is just not worth going crazy for and they don't approve of it. Not only are the special effect ground breaking, but the score by John Williams is incredible like always! The Spielberg and Williams formula works great! Fantastic movie! Fantastic story and even though compared to the book the ending may seemed rushed and altered, but the movie ending at least makes great use of one final famous T-rex roar!!!
Super Mario Galaxy (2007)
A poem to how awesome I think Mario Galaxy is...
(Warning: May Contain Spoilers) Let Rosalina help Mario lead the way and smile because this game will brighten your day.
120 stars will require luck and skill, but 60 will bring you as much of a thrill!
Blasting through stars show Mario and Luigi and what travelers they now are!
Walking upside down has never been more fun, especially a final battle with Koopa near the Sun!
This is truly a super awesome game and it absolutely deserves a place in Nintendo's Hall of Fame!
Super Mario Bros. (1993)
I love the video games, I like the cartoons, but I just DO NOT like this movie at all!!!
I loved playing the video games like Mario 1, 2 and 3 especially. (3 was my absolute favorite!) I loved watching the cartoons, like Mario Bros. Super Show, Mario 3, and Mario World, but man! This movie just did cut it for me! Such a terrible disaster! A big flop in Mario history. They think they succeeded with this movie, I think they totally failed and let a die hard Mario fan like me down terribly!!! Take my advise everyone and listen carefully because I'll only say this once "Play the games and watch the cartoons!" "Forget about this disastrous, horrible film" Maybe they should try making a Mario Bros. film like with CGI animation. It might help make a better Mario film. After all, anything would be better than this horrible failure!
Spider-Man 3 (2007)
Revenge is like medeocrity... it makes a great spidey series into a story not as good as the first two.
First of all let me just say that I'm really into the Spiderman Series. I enjoyed the first one, and the second one even more! I was so looking forward to this movie a lot! I was very excited when I got in the theater getting my expectations very high and SPOILER WARNING!!! at the beginning I was pretty pleased with the narration, how it started from where the second one left off from and the battle sequence with Osborne (New Goblin) was cool and then after that I though the story line started to collapse a little to about a lot! Harry Osborne had fallen and lost his memory of anything he could remember then all of a sudden just by looking at his dad's painting he becomes a villain and steals Parker's MJ. Acting was very poor at the central park scene where MJ says she's dumping Parker and I couldn't believe Parker would just betray MJ by kissing that other girl Gwen (Bryce Dallas Howard)! I was outraged! I had no idea that Peter would start cheating on MJ! The story got even more tangled with Sandman (thought to be his Uncle's actual killer), Eddie Brock (Played by Topher Grace, who was a huge arch enemy of Parker in the Bugle and just seems to come out of nowhere!), and how he becomes a little aggressive and vengefull, but very retarded (especially when he struts down the street with all girls in the background) when the black is on his suit. This movie had action, but just not enough. Too much love plots! Too many crooks! Not enough of a story to enjoy as well as the first two. But if you want to enjoy it then lower you're expectations a bit or just be somewhat disappointed like I was.
Corpse Bride (2005)
Tim Burton at his best!!!
This film was just absolutely amazing! Just plain amazing!!! I saw this in theaters and I got it on DVD and I just never get tired of watching it!!! I highly recommend it for being a great Halloween movie, but it can be not horrifying, but creepy and eerie for young children. But overall it's a great film. Wonderful and beautiful music. Danny Elfman always is the one to count on to do all of Tim Burton's classics. Great twist during the storyline and the end was just perfectly fit for the twisted story. This should have definitely won the Oscar. Wallace and Grommitt was okay, but this was way better. Tim Burton fans out there that haven't watched this: WATCH IT NOW!!!
X2 (2003)
Best X-Men Movie Yet!!!
Great movie!!! Had a tough time understanding this the first time I watched it, but after watching it a few times I finally understand it perfectly and enjoy watching it all the time. Out of all the X-Men movies this one I would have to say is the best one!!! May be a little lengthy, but it describes things very well. X-Men 3 is way too short. The first X-Men movie was great but this one has much more action and a better story line and it's way more fun to watch. I love the fact that it starts from where the first one left off and it has a following of the first one to this one and right into the third one. Overall it is the best X-Men movie yet!!! the two disc edition is great because of all the extra features, but the one disc edition doesn't have any which is not worth buying, unless you're not into watching all the extra footage and behind the scenes and etc.
X-Men: The Last Stand (2006)
good
I thought it was a bit fast-paced, but not to the point of confusion; the story was more or less about everything finally comin' to a head... which made the 'fast pace' seem somewhat sensible(being that it picked up with everything that had already been happening in the first two films.) I think it did a decent job in the fact that, with all things considered,it tried to give a sort of 'mundane' feel to the X-men world like the first two. I felt the acting was good, no worse than the first two either. There were also many surprises that came- even the things that I had heard were going to happen had me thinking 'WOW' when it finally happened. To me in general it seemed like the climax of the whole trilogy was the main focus in this one, all other things being shown in the first two; for example I don't really feel there was a HUGE lack of character development as some people seem to think. As for some cheezy one-liners and stuff like that, it wasn't any better or worse than the first two!! All-in-all, I like it.
