Do not read this if you haven't seen the movie! At the end, Cage is once again "infected" by the blood of the alien. But it's not just an Omega this time, it's the Momma Orb. This would suggest that no matter how long he lived after that day- even of natural causes 50 years later, or a week later in a car accident, he would revert back to that day since there is no alien trying to track him. UNLESS they come back...
Emily Blount said on the Howard Stern Radio Show that Part Two of this movie is something all the main actors want to do but she attributed the problem currently to the cost of making it.

Special effects are great, acting good but after a good first and second installment, the writers screwed the pooch. You need a legal pad to keep up with all the time jumps. You're just about to understand what's happening and all of the sudden it's "eight years earlier" then it's "six months later" then it's a black and white film with Rock Hudson and then it's a sequence when Mason is a kid. Peppered in is moronic inconsequential dialogue they wouldn't use on "Days Of Our Lives." The truly interesting people, who stole the show in my book, where the two brothers.

A Bad "Days of Our Lives"
14 May 2023
Warning: Spoilers
A pretty much enjoyable series until the end of Season 5; Episode 13 and 14 and the "trial" of character Mike Ross. Who wrote this this brick? Are these the episodes where the actors tried their hand at directing? Ugh. To think that a major New York law firm would tolerate a fraud who has been exposed and not fire him on the spot? The writers did not make the connection between the story line we have spent five seasons following and the reality of what would happen when it got "exposed." I think I would be livid if I was a lawyer and my profession was portrayed this way and as a writer I have to object. This screenplay would be rejected on the best day of Days of Our Lives.
I'm curious how they're going to keep four more seasons going without going to crazy town.

However, after seeing this about 200 times, I've noticed this year how much the bridge attendant looks like Gary Shandling!!
Sad to think that virtually all of the adults in this film have passed away but nice to find out that virtually all of the Bailey child actors are still alive.
I see this weekend is the 68th anniversary of the film and the Its A Wonderful Life festival has just concluded in Seneca Falls New York.
However, I see little outside commentary about the fil from the actors although I read it was Stewart's favorite.
If congress can do anything, they'll outlaw the supposed mKing of the sequel of this film.
