Armageddon Time (2022)
A film made by naive idealists
You do drugs at school, you steal cash from your hardworking parents, you steal computers from your classroom, you skip classes for no reason, you plan to run away with your mom's jewelry and lifetime savings. Then you got caught by police, but your black friend take all the responsibilities for you, and you are set free. You are angry with the unfairness but you've never wanted to change it. All you know is to dream of fame and money. Eventually you quit school and become a looser that is entirely useless to the society.---this is the view of the director. The director want us to fight for these loosers? Sorry, let them be. Everyone comes to this world with responsibilities, no matter black or yellow or white. Everyone need work hard for food and bed and for and respect from others. Study hard, Work hard. Do not steal. If you steal, you become a criminal. How simple is that? Why can't the director understand?
Radioactive (2019)
A very unscientific movie
This film was made by a group of people that know nothing about science and scientists. The director's mind was totally a mess, so was with the cinematography, screenplay, and editing. Within a limited time, the film intended to present the life of Mrs, Curie and the profound consequences her scientific discovery has brought to human beings. Unfortunately whole thing did not pull off. The entire film was chaotically orchestrated. The funniest thing about this film was the screen player or the director's imagination on spiritual matters such as soul and devil, which was totally irrelevant to the plot and was not scientific at all.
Nathan's Kingdom (2020)
When you argue with an idiot, you become one.
Please take no offenses. I have my greatest sympathy to patients with autism. However, what the movie showed to us was disturbing and misleading. For a child with autism, the caregiver should help the patient seek proper therapy, not playing pretend or following whatever the patient wants to do. The main character just completely lack the knowledge and ability to take care of her sick brother. Love is cheap. Love does not treat autism. Science does.
DamNation (2014)
Too simple, too naive
I have heard that dams are not good for environment, and I was expecting to know why human would be better without dams. However the film was way too shallow, tunnel-visioned and very subjective. Science is not a belief. We want to see evidences and know analysis, not just emotional feelings or someone's own reminiscence. There are so much more to talk about of benefits of removing dams on environment, economics and, especially, on human development. The film, focusing narrowly on something that will only affect a very small population and very few aspects of people's life, failed to delivery any powerful or persuasive reasons to audience as to why dams should be removed.
