Remo Williams: The Adventure Begins (1985)
Great movie! Should have made more!
I saw this in the theater when it first came out. Really good film! Action and interesting characters. Remo almost seemed like a real person. I always wondered why they didn't make more? Of course, Joel Grey was great in this one.
Operation Christmas (2016)
One of the best!
One of my favorite Christmas movies(and I watch a ton of them)! The characters seem so real. It is filled with beautiful scenery, too. I enjoyed seeing a romance story with grown- ups in it. The romance seemed to progress in a natural way and the kids were cute but realistic. I highly recommend this film!
A Royal Christmas (2014)
Excellent, enjoyable film
I love Hallmark Christmas movies, and I especially liked this one. It seemed a little too short, though. I noticed one of the other reviewers said that Disney should take lessons from Hallmark--guess what? Disney owns Hallmark and ABC FAMILY. Just different target audiences. But back to the movie... I liked all the actors, but it would have been nice to see Emily,s dad and her friend a little bit more. The castle and clothes were beautiful. The only thing that I found hard to believe was the village scene where nuns are selling things to raise money for an orphanage. If they are supposed to be near France (an industrialized country), why does the village look like it's set in the 1600s? Whenever an American movie has a scene in another country it always looks like something from "A Tale of Two Cities." Yes, I know, that was around 1812. Still, I really liked the movie. I watch Christmas stuff all year long. Just could have been longer. I recommend this film!
Christmas at Cartwright's (2014)
wonderful movie, lovable cast
This is a great film. I especially liked the actress playing Nicky. She seemed believable yet magical. Angel stories are always great and this one did not disappoint. The little girl was cute without being precocious. I liked how everyone at Cartwright' s loved Santa Nick, except the evil Fiona. It was fun to see Gabrielle Miller play a baddie after seeing her as the nice, but insecure Lacey on Corner Gas. Hallmark has the best films! I also applaud Patricia Heaton for producing this sweet movie. The store sets were really beautiful. The only thing that puzzled me was 2 stories that Bill told to Nicky. One concerned questioning his father about Santa and in the other he mentions being raised by a single mom...what happened to his dad? That was the only inconsistency I spotted. But otherwise I recommend this film.
