What so funny about this show?!!
27 July 2008
I have no idea why people are so crazy about the show. It is so boring. The jokes are not even close to what we usually say funny. It's like, Alex say something that is not funny nor interesting and then suddenly there's a laughing sound background. My friend and I just looked at each other with blank look as if we asked each other, "What's so funny?!!". Seriously, every time we watched that show, you wouldn't hear any laughing or coughing. Just a blank look. So we stop watching it. I am personally a fan of sitcoms, so I tried to watch the show. But the show us such a disappointment. This show might be one of the worst comedy sitcom ever...

Good Stories, Bad Execution
26 January 2007
Warning: Spoilers
I saw this film just a day after its premiere. Honestly, the topic of Bali Bombing was the reason I went to watch it. I really long for a humanism movie. The moment I watched it, I must say that indeed this film contains an everlasting message: there is no instant road to Heaven. One may have their own version of the road to heaven, but can he sacrifices other peoples to fulfill his vision? The message itself is very relevant to these days, where there are high doubts between nations, between religions, between peoples. So, why did I give the film only six stars? Simple, great stories with a bad execution. The dialogs are pretty flat. They really appears as a scripted dialogs, not a "live conversation". Some actors even appears as an emotionless talking figures. To make even worse, they speak English with a bad grammar, sometimes a very disturbing grammar. Overall, it is still a good movie in the memory of Bali Bombing. Just don't expect very much from it.

Great
26 March 2006
Clearly one of the best movie of the year. The complexity of the story is just right. It really took you to the place where you will deeply think, who is the BAD GUY in real world. Where there will be a very thin line between a terrorist and those who acts to fulfill their idealism. The dialogs in this movie is just... sharp. Sure, there are many dialogs, but most of them will lead you to think deeply again of how this movie correlates to the real world. Sure, there are action scenes, but they are not the main attraction. Rather, it was how V interacts with the other characters, and how they life changes with the interaction. How they think of the others, what decision they must take in responds to the situation and the interaction. A great movie. Don't miss this one. I would buy the DVD once it is released.

King Kong (2005)

Bad, Bad Remake
23 December 2005
I went to the cinema with a great expectation for this movie. Sadly, it turns out that I over-expected the movie. I liked the original MUCH MUCH BETTER. This version? Too many additional dumb parts like the scenes with the dinosaurs, the prologue is too long, and many more. It seems that this movie is a show of digital animation, not a show of good storyboard and entertainment. Don't watch it. Get the original King Kong. And it's not just me who thinks that way. I think Peter Jackson has just lost his Golden Touch in The Lord of the Rings Trilogy and replaced it with pack-millions-of-digital-dinos recipe. 1 of 10 stars.
