Joe Pickett (2021)
Wonderful Series
So many shows on tv and online are needlessly disgusting with over the top violence, sex, bad language and bizarre storylines. While there is some violence in this series, it's relevant and not gratuitous. It reminds me of the westerns of the past but modernized. It's a classic mystery series that most will enjoy if you are an adult. 😏. I particularly like the Joe Pickett character because he is understated but sharp as a tack. Not a flashy, gorgeous actor but one that conveys his character with charm and class. I like the relationship he has with his wife, who is also perfect in her role, and his children. I highly recommend watching this series.
Hunter Killer (2018)
Suspense!
Don't know why the so-called "critics" panned this movie; but, I suspect it's more about politics than the film. Hunter Killer is exciting, edge-of-your-seat exciting! Well-researched, which I happen to know because Gerard Butler spent two weeks out to sea with my nephew and the crew of the submarine on which he was stationed. Can't complain that the story is somewhat far-fetched since most movies are definitely far-fetched. My dad, a submarine Commander, would have loved this movie.
The Recruit (2003)
Just so so
Pretty bad film. Predictable plot line, obvious from the beginning. Sorry I wasted my time even though Colin Farrell was nice to look at. I'm surprised Al Pacino agreed to do this movie. He is much better than he showed in the movie. Maybe it was terrible directing or maybe a poor script. It's hard to say; but now I know why I had never heard of it. Thank god I didn't have to pay to see it. Lol
Wisdom of the Crowd (2017)
Good show
I never watched person of interest. So, I have nothing to compare to this show. I enjoy it and I like the actors and the story lines. I'm not a professional critic and am not going to write a long, tiresome review. All that matters is that I like watching the show. I like the premise and I like the actors. That's enough for me.
