Partisan (2020)
Good acting, beautiful filmography, very bad screenplay
The landscapes, the settings, the actors the ambient that is set from the first episodes promissed something that could aspire to rival with True Detective.
But the reality is that all that is sabotaged with pretty poor screenplay. From characters that every time they get a chance to escape they keep running back to their captors chasing impossibilties, to the subplots being all over the place and sometimes put aside for so long that when the narrative resumes, they're no longer relevant, to subplots that had a lot of screentime invested in and never go anywhere...
I'll take european cinema over american 9 out 10 times. Just not this time.
Flutuar (2019)
The best cinematography I've sen in a very long time.
Amazing cinematography both on the floating camera as in all other shots.
Incredible lighting.
The tension in the story is great.
Sublime all the way.
