The Art of giving is to be in service as a Writer, through my craft I have the ability to inspire change in people; its a tool to change people's out-look and to give them something to better themselves with as I also get to Connect with People, Walk in their Shoe, and Flip-the-Script to change the scene for a day in hope that it might change the outcome that might be bad to turn it around for the good with a personalized sci-fi short-story.
In attempt to get the person's mind off of the matter and in a created atmosphere of faith that would allow them to believe in something more; to provide good public relations.
I am a gold-mine of a writer for smart-movie-books yet a lover of ghost stories, folklore, fables, myth, sci-fi with an idea for an ImagineerWRITER Lounge/Bookstore in Tulsa, Oklahoma. As I don't just want to be a writer but I want to write in such a way that I can help the police keep crime off the streets to turn vigilantes away from it and offer a positive way to live. When I’m not reading, writing or watching movie, I’m hand crafting stomo-art.
Which is an artsy-craftsy, severed alien arm for holding movie refreshments and an actor's script that is a mobile, handy, adjustable, convenient, multipurpose device that offers a third-arm that extends a extra hand as you will discover more about this extra hand that I make a you read on further.
Joel Brown lives in Tulsa, Oklahoma with his mother. After withdrawing from a private University due to financial difficulties with just two credits away from being able to graduate with a Bachelor's of Science degree in Drama, Television and Film Performance; he dived into working and living doing what he loved most - writing, and registered to become a Christian ordained minister. He has designed and created the Akterpuz third-arm StomoArt that is hand crafted.
Which is an artsy-craftsy, severed Martian arm for holding movie refreshments and an actor's script that is a mobile, handy, adjustable, convenient, multipurpose device that offers a third-arm that extends a extra hand to movie-lovers. He has studied Computer Information System: Digital Video, Photography, Practical Ministry Film Analysis, Positive Psychology, certified in Cinema a Therapy, curated a collection of movies on DVD, traveled to Beverly Hills, California in order to record a demo in a collaboration with a top notch underground Hiphop artist and producer—all while studying and experiencing more than 23 years’ worth of knowledge on music, dance, filmmaking and acting.
However, it wasn't until after he went through a major life trauma that narrowed down his Jack-of-all-trades pursuit into a master-of-one calling, where is was led to a story that had filmed in film school but shelved for 18-years, and stayed up at all hours of the night crafting it into a book, Brown wrote Picasso's Little Secret: The Devil's Paintbrush, a series of novels whose first installment is Painting Shadows.
The elaborate story continues with the much-anticipated Part Two: Painting Shadow Town, and even an expected Part Three, Four and Five. In spite of that Brown strives to leave a legacy that will be known as a 'MAN-ON-FIRE FOR WRITING AND MOVIES WHO'S AFTER GOD'S OWN HEART' who God had another word for him: REDEEMED and a FATHER'S HEART, when the world labeled him repulsively that set apart before all as a display of God's gracious merciful power.
Thus, regardless of how insurmountable the situations he faces may look; he kept on doing what he loved, and they didn't take away his passion but made his fight stronger as an artist. Your word-serving pen-pushing imagineer writer, Joel Brown AKA: Joel Flickstein
Flashback through a journey to where I came from...
From childhood to 1994: Joel Ronald Peter Brown as he is known for his artistic and craftsmanship work; he has experience in both production and performance of entertainment that first got its start during his childhood playtime, where he constructed sets out of anything that could be found laying around the house for his action figures and told stories through it; as if it were a theatrical production.
From 1995 to1996: Joel grew with his talent, when he re-built the door of the palace from the movie 'Aladdin' with just a permanent marker and a card board refrigerator box that was for a girl who was in his 4th grade class as he recalls drawing on the back of offering envelopes in the church services that he attended with his mom.
From 1997 to 1999: It wasn't till he started going to youth services at his church when a youth pastor saw Joel's creative potential and pulled it out of him. Subsequently, Joel got involved in playing the saxophone for the youth band which would influence other musical talents as a rapper later on. Yet in this church youth group; Joel eventually had an opportunity to start a drama team, writing short drama sketches that pertained to the youth pastor's sermons, building sets for the productions, set dressing, and also acting in these drama sketches. Then in 8th grade; Joel took an acting class in school that helped him to learn the craft, and it also allowed him to practice dressing the set more.
From 2002 to 2003: Joel's passion for the fine arts grew as he became interested in directing and producing; from there Joel began to get his feet wet in film-making, by shooting music videos and short films with friends and family members on an 8MM camera to edit them from inside of the camera as this was before he had a computer. Later on Joel joined the varsity football team, where he became a source of inspiration to the team and some members of the community - from the sidelines - through his talent for rapping that the quarterback Jordan Renz had pulled out of him and so he became famous as Tiger-J during the rest of his high school years. Thus, recording and putting out his own albums. As this lead Joel to have one demo to be scouted out by Talent Rock, which landed him into signing a contract with an independent label that's known as Sonic Wave International. Thereafter; Joel continued to make music, manage his own rap band called 'Platinum Hustlaz,' and produce music videos.
From 2004 to 2010: After high school, Joel started to get serious about the pursuit of music and film-making as a career endeavor. Therefore, studying theater and film at Tulsa Community College and at the same time, landing my first dream job that was by the grace of God; with on the job experience at Griffin Communication/KOTV News on 6 as a production assistant. Nevertheless, operating the camera and running the teleprompter for the shows. While God had opened the doors for my talents in performance and production to be used in both the college's theater shows, various student films, and even paid work on professional films. Some examples of these are: Persistence of Memory (2003), Painting Shadows (2006), Freaky Faron (2006), Four Sheets to the Wind (2007), Storm (2007), and Deadly Love (2011) - with 'Painting Shadows' being nominated for a best picture award at the Bare Bones Film Festival. Now some of the theater show that Joel was involved in are: Zooman & the Sign, Oedipus Rex, Fiddler on the Roof, Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs, Devious, Christian Carol, and two church Easter plays. While during this time, Joel also started to write screenplays. Also Joel had the chance to be in an OK tourism commercial, nevertheless, be featured as a perfumer in the Teen Talk and Tulsa Music Exposed TV show.
From 2013 to 2017: A couple years later, Joel decided to further his education by enrolling into Oral Robert University to chase after a Bachelor's degree in drama, television and film performance. During this time, Joel had more of a humbled experience from having had been in the center of the spotlight as he mainly had worked behind-the-scenes on the productions of Little Women, Eurydice, You can't take it with you, Over the river & through the wood, The Important of being Earnest, South Pacific, 39 Steps, and Diary of Anne Frank; with one small role as Lane in 'The Importance of Being Earnest'. Nevertheless, with some credits as a bit-player and film crew in the following student short films: Stolen, Where's Walter, Unexpected Strangers, The Tweaky Thomas Truthful Todd Tale, Super Shoes also. Overall, while at ORU; the things that were most priceless to Joel that he took away from that college experience was the valuable knowledge that was imparted to him, the instilled greatness from the teachers, and the rediscovery of my self. As it was like God was taking all these different directions that my talents was trying to pull him into going; was being harnessed into one direction that he was to focus pursuing, and that being writing. Whereas, Joel got to "build-upon" his artistic abilities through courses like: Introduction to Interactive Media, Newswriting I, Principles of Audio Production, Principles of TV Production, Media Analysis, Fundamentals of Acting, Theater History I, Advanced Acting, Theater History II, Announcing, Acting Styles, Make-up design, Watercolor, Performance Arts Management, Theater Forms, Critical Read & Writing, Play-writing, film acting, sculpture, scenic design, and even the fitness courses that he took.
2018: Joel has taken an interest in becoming a professional craft artist with the hope of owning his own arts studio and gallery that showcases Paper Film-making Wall Art that not only shows a story of a movie without electricity but tells the story of famous actors who has committed suicide; to honor their legacy (rather small or large), and raise awareness about suicide in the entertainment industry - in hopes of building a support system for the artists as an intervention and prevention for it. Joel also ambitions it to be a shop where he can make inventions and 'third-arm movie refreshments and actor's script holders' for his Patrons.

Let Me Have My Son (2023)
Phenomenally beautiful movie with excellent scriptwriters that brought forth intelligent-sounding actors and lovable characters!
In my opinion, the movie was powerful and heartfelt, capturing my attention from right off the bat. The soundtrack was expressive, inspiring and beautiful. The acting was full of conviction, strong, natural, talented, skillful, creative, and complex on many levels. Not to mention, the acting had an impressive and vibrant performance, something that I could personally relate to in my own experiences with symptoms of mental illnesses. The dialogue was meaningful and the writing gave the story an outstanding depth and thought-provoking appeal, that was cleverly written, that made the actors sound intelligent because I could see there were excellent scriptwriters at work behind the voices of the characters. I loved this movie because it showed mental illness in a new light and the mental illnesses was accurate portrayed by the actors in such a way that it made the film much more beautiful and dynamically unique. This is one of the best movies on mental illness that I ever heard, that will go down in history as a classic in any generation's movie collection.
Secret Headquarters (2022)
If you don't let your teen in, they'll figure it out...
"If you don't let them in, eventually, your secret will find you out, and could allow others to live in it to become what you've been trying to hide."
'Secret Headquarters' Spoiler Movie Review.
Hey, life is too short and no one ain't got time to sit down to read a long-drawn-out one!
The main characters in the movie are Jack (Owen Wilson) and Charlie (Walker Scobell), who play father and son in the superhero comedy.
A brief summary of the plot is about 'Secret Headquarters,' a 14-year-old discovers his father is not what he seems. While hanging out after school, Charlie and his friends discover the headquarters of the world's most powerful superhero hidden beneath his home.
"This is your not-so-average superhero movie as the bad guys became good guys and friends, who end up working for the superhero."
The possible theme is: coming-into-age, boy adventure, having "the talk" with your teen, spending quality time with your teen, building trust with your teen, friendships/relationships, and distant parenting.
"If you have to live a doubled life, know how to influence people with your secret"
The moral of this story is people who aspire to see themselves as something bigger and better are good role models, but you never know who is following your lead so make sure you have a positive role model for yourself, always following God's lead because kids are brilliant imitators so you can give them something brilliant to imitate.
This movie would most likely appeal to distant parents as much as it would teens and kids.
In my opinion of the movie, the introduction naturally leads into the rest of the story. The dialogue was cleverly written and filled with funny puns, and the words flow well into one another, as excellent writers will make sure to choose phrases or words for their meaning and for their natural rhythmic quality and sound. The actors are vulnerable as the acting was natural, skillful, and talented which gave off a vibrant performance with sentimental and emotional in some parts. The soundtrack was inspiring and engaging. Overall, it turned out to be a really exuberant movie that exceeded my expectations, as I have been longing to see this movie and finally got to since Paramount released it to be watched outside of having a membership. I love Paramount and one day together we will be partners with Marvel studios! Paramount has made a movie that takes the superhero stories to the next level, that will bring the hearts of a father and son together.
I would recommend the movie because it shows how the power of influence one can make on not only friends and family, but it can make difference in the people who oppose you and want what you have; to be your role model in the end.
Nerve (2016)
A powerful story where teens can learn how there is a Moral Law and the repercussions of wrong actions!
It's easy to be brave in the crowd, but what about in private, when you're alone with integrity, and no one is watching you?
The main characters in the movie Emma Roberts, Dave Franco, Emily Meade, Miles Heizer, Juliette Lewis, Kimiko, Marc John Jefferies, Colson Baker, Brian Marc, and Rightor Doyle.
A brief summary of the plot is a high school senior finds herself immersed in an online game of truth or dare, where her every move starts to become manipulated by an anonymous community of "watchers."
The possible theme is Grace without truth leads to "do whatever" and "believe whatever." Truth without grace leads to rules and rebellion. We should live with grace and truth. When people do not accept divine guidance, they run wild. Proverbs 29:18.
The moral for this story is "Do not be misled: Bad company corrupts good character. 1 Corinthians 15:33. And, When you see trouble coming, don't be stupid and walk right into it-be smart and hide. Proverbs 22:3.
The audience who would like this movie is teenagers.
In my opinion of the movie, there's the one scene that's powerful - the last one, where the Never game is about to get shut down as a ton of watchers have gathered in an arena to watch the finalist players - Vee, Ian and Ty - as a message have been flashed on the screen to shoot Vee, following this, Ty shoots Vee not knowing that it was apart of the plan to shut down the game. Promptly, every watcher is sent an alert on their cellphone that says, "You're an accessory of murder!" After the watchers are prompted to sign out of the game. Then, we see all the watchers walk past Vee and out of the arena in silence with their heads down. This scene a sense of conviction to the moral Law, and a change of heart after being confronted with the repercussions of wrong behavior.
With that said, the introduction was powerful and alluring and captured my attention right from the beginning; as it held my interest throughout the whole story. The dialogue was cleverly written and thought-provoking. The acting was skillful, talented, vibrant, and natural. The soundtrack gave the movie ambition and was inspiring and dynamic. I liked this movie because it took the old childhood party game of 'Truth or Dare' without the truth and taught a very valuable life lesson through the characters who lived it out by example. Something I didn't know before I researched it is that the game 'Truth or Dare' has existed for hundreds of years, with at least one variant, "questions and commands", being attested as early as 1712. Hmm... go figure.
I would recommend the movie because this is one of those movies that can teach a teen how to be a better version of themselves, where they learn by proxy what to do and what not to do. Moreover, the movie inspires cinematic admiration that occurs when viewers observe nonmoral excellence in a character, feel a physiologic sensation of being energized and having chills, and are motivated to improve themselves or copy the model. In which, cinematic elevation or cinematic admiration moves an audience to change through character strengths and virtues.
God & Salsa (2022)
God doesn't waste nothing but uses your story to help rewrite another's story!
'God & Salsa' Spoiler Movie Review
Yo! Life is too short and no one ain't got time to sit down to read a long-drawn-out one!
Dance is like therapy, you're too busy learning the step and expressing yourself through the moves to think about anything else.
The main characters in the movie are Raquel, Shane, Monica, and Matt.
A brief summary of the plot is a grief-stricken therapist is determined to help a suicidal teen but to help him, she must trust God with her own pain and let go of her guilt.
The possible themes are God, dance, relationships, grief, suicide, parent-child relational problems, forgiveness, fear, character building, and teen issues.
The moral for this story is "There's a time to weep and a time to laugh, a time to mourn and a time to dance" (Ecclesiastes 3:4).
I think the audience who would like this movie are concerned parents, teens, and Latinos.
In my opinion of the movie, the transitional blackouts were too long and dragged on to make someone think a technical difficulty occurred and lose interest in the movie in general. The dialogue was original and well-written, but cheesy in some parts. The acting was full of conviction and gave something that anyone could personally relate to in my own experiences with grief and pain, but there were a lot of parts where the actors overreacted. The performance was raw, natural, strong, and complex and gave depth and appeal to the characters. The soundtrack was inspiring and tuneful. I loved this movie because it tells a story about a cause that sets close to my heart.
Sadly, suicide is the 2nd leading cause of death for kids 10 to 14 years old. Which makes you ponder, what would make a 10-year-old want to commit suicide? In fact, in 2020, suicide was the second leading cause of death for youth ages 10 - 14, and adults ages 25 to 34, suicide was the third leading cause of death for people ages 15 to 24, the fourth leading cause of death for ages 35 to 44, and the seventh leading cause of death for ages 55 to 64. Worse enough,15 is a difficult age because friendships have the tendency to become all-consuming, which explains why peer pressure tends to be a huge issue. While on the other hand, parents believe teenagers become most difficult to raise at the age of 15; as they seldom don't talk much.
Overall I would recommend the movie because it not only talks about the hard issues that teens are faced with of grief, pain, and suicide ideation, but it shows and tells you how to get through it; as this movie can help teens use dance to express and rediscover themselves through while depending on God to help them heal and let go so they can move forward in life.
The Space Between Us (2017)
May you know how wide and long and high and deep love is.
'The Space Between Us' Spoiler Movie Review
Hey, life is too short and no one ain't got time to sit down to read a long-drawn-out one!
You don't get to choose your birth family, but God puts the orphans in a family and we are given free-will of choice as to who we want as father-figures and mother-figures in our life.
The main cast and characters in the movie are Gary Oldman as Nathaniel Shephard, Asa Butterfield as Gardner Elliot, Carla Gugino as Kendra Wyndham, Britt Robertson as Tulsa, BD Wong as Tom Chen, Janet Montgomery as Sarah Elliot, and Trey Tucker as Harrison Lane.
A brief summary of the plot is after years of limited contact with Earth, an inquisitive teen who lives on Mars makes an interplanetary trek to discover his own origins.
The possible theme are foster teens, love, loss, belonging, distant relationships, spiritual adoption, spiritual fathers, and spiritual mothers.
The moral of this story is there's no distance to love as nothing can separate you from it, and home is where you feel a sense of belonging.
Who I think would like this movie are foster kids, foster parents, child activists, and child advocators.
In my opinion of the movie, the introduction naturally leads into the rest of the story. The dialogue was clear enough to understand, and the words flow well into one another, as good writers will make sure to choose phrases or words for their meaning and for their natural rhythmic quality and sound. The acting was natural, raw, sentimental, heartfelt, and emotional. The soundtrack was awe-inspiring. Overall, it turned out to be another cause I am passionate about fighting for as I enjoyed it. Netflix has made another good movie that has captured my heart and moved me, again.
I would recommend the movie because it shows how although you don't get to choose the place of your birth, you get to choose who you want to make a father or mother figure in your life for those who have suffered the loss of a loved one, and vice versa for adults who was longing for parenthood but an unfortunate event happened. I am so glad I finally got to watch this movie as I always wanted to see it because a good story will remind you of who you want to be!!!!
The Book of Henry (2017)
This is what you call loving your neighbor (everyone) like yourself!
'The Book of Henry' Spoiler Movie Review
Hey, life is too short and no one ain't got time to sit down to read a long-drawn-out one!
How far would you go to help someone?
In the midst of a world that is growing colder and colder, and living in a time where people don't care anymore about what's really going on.
People watch for the criminal in their neighbors and don't see the victim crying out next door.
People choose to see what they want to believe and believe what they want to see.
The main characters in the movie are Naomi Watts as the mother, Jaeden Martell as Henry, and Jacob Tremblay as Peter.
A brief summary of the plot is an 11-year-old vow to help a new neighbor who he suspects is in danger and documents his efforts in a series of written entries and audio recordings.
The possible theme are abuse, bullying, neglect, and absent-minded parenting.
The moral of this story is violence isn't the worst thing in the world, apathy is; as we miss the see the killer that is lurking in our own home when we are so occupied with trying to find the killer in the bushes outside.
Who I think would like this movie are concerned parents, child activists, and child advocators.
In my opinion of the movie, neighbors live in neighborhoods where they care more (not even the police) about what you are doing for the safety of the community over what's happening to a neighbor who might be endangered. We don't "Love our neighbor as ourselves" because we don't know how to give them the love that we don't have for ourselves, or we have made love something no one we don't know or hate is deserving of it. Other than that, the introduction naturally leads into the rest of the story. The dialogue was clear enough to understand, and the words flow well into one another, as good writers will make sure to choose phrases or words for their meaning and for their natural rhythmic quality and sound. The acting was natural, bittersweet, and emotional. The soundtrack was heartfelt. Overall, I was a little skeptical about watching this movie because I thought it was going to be a horror movie, but it turned out to be about a cause I am passionate about fighting for and I enjoyed it. Netflix has made another good movie that has captured my heart and moved me.
I would recommend the movie because it shows how the worst thing in the world gets swept under the rug, and how some people can be so oblivious to what's happening around them that they let evil prevail in their selfishness to do nothing. I am so glad I watched this movie because a good story will remind you of who you want to be!!!!
Wednesday (2022)
Why Do You Seek the Living among the Dead?
'Wednesday' Spoiler Movie Review
Life is too short and no one ain't got time to sit down to read a long-drawn-out one!
The main characters in the movie are Wednesday, Enid, Tyler, Xavier Thorpe, and Bianca Barclay.
Giving a brief summary of the plot is smart, sarcastic and a little dead inside, Wednesday Addams investigates a murder spree while making new friends - and foes - at Nevermore Academy.
The possible theme for this story is different from the 'Adam's Family,' while it dabbles more in the darkside on mysteries, monsters, and mayhem of a symbolized secret society's study of alchemy and the occult through outcast - from the perspective of a Gothic writer. Whereas; the 1964 TV series 'The Addams Family' was more of one of the funnier and more enjoyable series of the period about a ghoulish family that just seems to be totally unaware of their strangeness, that showed how a family can be lovable in their differences. For example, the cousin Itt loves to drop by for a visit and has a body that is entirely covered in hair; he speaks in gibberish that only the family can understand and is arguably the least creepy of the family, as he just minds his own business, even when he's staying at the Addams residence. The Grandmama Is Not Like Other Grandmas who is known for her wild outbursts, primarily while spending time with Wednesday and Pugsley; she can come off as brutish and rude, but deep down she does love her family like everyone else. Lurch Is A Loyal Butler who has nothing more to say than some incoherent grunts, but he is undoubtedly one of the most interesting characters to come from the Addams family as he serves the Addams family. Pugsley Addams Is A Devious Child, wh0 is a little boy who likes to play pranks with his sister that usuallly disrupt the lives of others. However, he has a soft side for his sister and shows he cares about her. Thing Has Evolved Over The Years as a disembodied hand that crawls around and helps the family with their antics; he doesn't speak, but like every other Addams member, everyone understands Thing anyway and he appears as a watchful guardian. Wednesday Is The Darkest Addams who is known for her blank stares and pigtails, being obsessed with death and solitude; as she is quite intelligent and shows she has a heart through her detective work. Morticia Addams Has A Presence In Every Room and Despite her coming from a long line of witched, she's madly in love with her husband while she can be very alluring, even if she doesn't always get along with her children. When all else fails, Morticia keeps things running as smoothly as they possibly can for a family like theirs. Gomez Addams Is The Head Of The Family who is eccentric and romantic, albeit in his own dark and twisted ways; he takes part in all the dark activities his family enjoys, although he is much more whimsical than most and mostly concerned with living life to the fullest, in his own ways. Lastly, everyone Loves Uncle Fester who is big, bald, and always wearing a fur coat. He's the most whimsical member of the family, known for his distinct voice and laugh. He enjoys many odd things, such as sticking his head in a screw press for pleasure. Above all, he's the most caring and loving member of the whole family.
The moral for this story is about Family diversity, in the contemporary context, refers to all the different forms of families and family life that exist in society and to the characteristics that differentiate them from one another. Each person in a family has the same traits. There are no differences in traits between parents and offspring or among siblings. Strangely, life itself has proven that there is no such thing as a "perfect family," but the love that they have for one another makes a perfect family, not who they are or what they can do.
The audience who would like this movie are viewers over the age of 14, because it may not be suitable for anyone under that age; due to fear, language, and violence.
In my opinion of the movie,
The introduction was complex and captured my attention right from the beginning, but dragged on thereafter so I lost interest in the other episodes in general. The actors were talented, natural, experienced, professional, and very skillful in their preformances. The dialogue was though provokingly deep and cleverly written. The characters were lovable, but overall memorable for me. I would have appreciated it a lot more if it wasn't so cringeworthy depressing, that could have been more feel-good and meaningful.
Overall, I would not recommend the movie because it wasn't as interesting or exciting as I thought it would be like the 1964 'The Addams Family' TV series.
Star Wars: Episode I - The Phantom Menace (1999)
We can't fight hate with even more hate, aggression wins battles, but only love wins wars.
'Star Wars: The Phantom Menace' Spoiler Movie Review
Life is too short, ain't nobody got time for a long one!
Shmi Skywalker: You can't stop change any more than you can stop the suns from setting.
The main characters in the movie are Obi-Wan Kenobi, Qui-Gon Jinn, Queen Amidala, Anakin Skywalker, Senator Palpatine, and Shmi Skywalker.
A brief summary of the plot is when Jedi Knights Obi-Wan Kenobi and Qui-Gon Jinn rescue Queen Amidala, ruler of a peaceful planet invaded by dark forces. On their escape, they discover nine-year-old Anakin Skywalker, a child prodigy who is unusually strong in the Force. Purchase also includes bonus features, available to watch in Your Video Library.
One of the most popular movie franchises of all time has universal themes that allowed it to appeal to different cultures and generations, allowing its popularity to continue into the 21st Century. The world of Star Wars is rich and expansive, and much of it is based on real-world history. Not only that but the movie Star Wars is a prayer of obedience, carrying themes such as the power of one, the force, bravery, adventure, hope, good vs. Evil, and growing up.
Qui-Gon Jinn: Remember, concentrate on the moment. Feel, don't think. Trust your instincts.
The moral for this story is NO ONE CAN SERVE TWO MASTERS. Moreover, every generation has a legend. Every journey has a first step. Every saga has a beginning. Consider, after all, how often the title "master" is used, whether it is uttered by a true Jedi knight or hissed by a devotee of the dark side. If the faithful fully submit to the ways of the mysterio that governs this fictional universe, then the disobedient try to use the Force for their own self-glorifying purposes. Yet as warned in Matthew 6:24, "No one can serve twO masters." We could chart this theme of obedience in narrative terms, tracing its arc through the details of Star Wars' vast, serialized plot. But more interesting and more cinematic are the gestures of allegiance that have come to define the franchise, the way some of its most memorable moments demonstrate obedience of one sort or another.
The audience who would most like this movie are kids to adults, as its for the whole family.
Its funny, before watching this movie the street I live on was peaceful, then when watching the movie a car wars of my own neighborhood started to rise as the traffic wouldn't stop. In my opinion of the movie, the introduction was not what I had expected, but it was interesting and captured my attention right from the beginning as it lead right into the rest of the story. The dialogue was expressive, meaningful, and thought-provoking. The acting was very natural, professional, and they fully transformed into their character fully rounded and connected shows hard work, technique, and good direction in every scene while staying truthfully and emotionally connected; to become a fully realized three-dimensional character. The soundtrack was original and atmospheric and the SFX gave the movie an imaginative feel and enhanced the movie. I never been a fan of the Star Wars movies as it was never my thing, but I loved playing the racing game based off the phantom menace and that's what inspired me to watch the movie. Other than that, this an epic and classic out of all of the Star Wars movies I ever heard.
Anakin: Mom, you said that the biggest problem in the universe is no one helps each other.
An example from the movie of this truth, we can't fight hate with even more hate, aggression wins battles, but only love wins wars. Martin Luther King Jr. Once said that "Darkness cannot drive out darkness; only light can do that. Hate cannot drive out hate; only love can do that."
Yoda: Everything! Fear is the path to the dark side. Fear leads to anger. Anger leads to hate. Hate leads to suffering. I sense much fear in you.
Qui-Gon Jinn: Remember: Your focus determines your reality.
Overall I would recommend the movie because it showcases a huge display of character strengths and virtues, and there's a lot of life lessons that we can learn from Star Wars.
Lifemark (2022)
A glimpse into the beauty of the value of adoption. Family is home. Parenting is a gift. Most kids don't have one or the other or both.
'Lifemark' Spoiler Movie Review

'Family is home. Parenting is a gift. Most kids don't have one or the other or both'
The main characters in the movie are David, Nate, Melissa, Jimmy, Susan, Brian, Azure, and Shawn.
A brief summary of the plot is David steps out and finds himself within after his world is turned upside down when his birthmother unexpectedly reaches out to him, sending the adopted 18-year-old on a journey of discovery that leads to a staggering truth from his past.
The possible theme for the story is forgiveness, family, tearjerker, boy adventure, coming-into-age, sonship, faith, restoration, and adoption.
The moral for this story is adoption give a kid the life that they could only imagine, when a parent isn't able to raise them in such a way.
The audience who would like this movie is those who are thinking about abortion, those who are thinking about adoption, teens, foster parents, and adoptive parents.
In my opinion of the movie, the introduction was engaging, capturing my attention right from the beginning. The dialogue was thought-provoking and something that you could personally relate to in your own experiences, even if you have never been orphaned or adopted. The acting was inspiring and complex and had an impressive range that reached a compelling during the story. Not to mention, the actors were talented and skilled and a fully rounded and three-dimensional character, who stayed truthfully and emotionally connected to their characters; to show hard work, technique and good direction as they fully transformed into a believable character. The soundtrack and the SFX gave the film much more of a heartfelt and lovely appeal. I loved this movie because it touched on a topic that is close to my heart - adoption. This is one of the best movies on adoption that I have ever seen.
An example of what this movie has done to me is it reminds me of the real meaning of how hope is at the heart of every journey as I wear a custom necklace personalized heart locket necklace that holds a very precious picture of two boys I've sponsored from Russia with an engravement on the front that says, "You'll always be in my heart." This movie makes me think about those two boys in foster care and how much I want them to have a family of their own and to live the life that they could only imagine, as if I hope to see them one day apart from through eyes of faith.
Overall I would recommend the movie because it shows the beauty of the value of adoption, the same street of an abortion clinic could either be where a baby dies or lives on.
Legacy Peak (2022)
One of the best wildness and survival movies I've seen pertaining to what it is to be a dad!!!!
'Legacy Peak' Spoiler Movie Review
life is too short, no one ain't got time for a long-drawn-out one!
The main characters in the movie are Jason, Ben, and Sam.
A brief summary of the plot is Jason, played by Lucas Black, is on an adventure to win the hearts of Noelle's kids before they marry. But when the plan falls apart and they struggle to survive, the new family's faith will be tested before they can start a life together.
The possible themes are dependency on God, family, relationships, prayer, faith, fear, wildness and survival, love, forgiveness, and reconciliation; at it goes to show you that mans heart plans his ways of taking his family on an adventure to win the hearts of his kids before he marries, but the Lord establishes his steps.
The moral for this story is a father stands in the gap, and whatever comes, nothing gets to his kids. Moreover, a good dad does what he can in whatever situation he finds himself in with his family, even if its not enough as the steps of a good man are ordered by the Lord.
The audience who would like this movie is fathers because its geared more towards them.
In my opinion of the movie, the introduction was different and erratic and captured my attention right from the beginning. The dialogue was clever and heartfelt at some points. The actors were talents and skilled and a fully rounded and three-dimensional character, who stayed truthfully and emotionally connected to their characters; to show hardwork, technique and good direction as they fully transformed into a belivable character. The soundtrack and SFX gave the movie more of a natural feel and appeal. I loved this movie because it was graceful, very natural based off of how real life family experiences can relate to the wild, and beautifully courageous. This is one of the best wildness and survival movies I've seen.
An example from the movie that spoke to me the most was when Jason said, "There is a story in the Bible. The sky opens up and in a voice from heaven, God the father says, 'This is my Son, my beloved Son.' This was before Jesus did anything. He hasn't healed anyone. No miracles. Hadn't died for anyone's sins. And God said, I love Him because of who He is, not because of what he has done.' And this knife is reminder of whatever happens, I love you because you're Ben.'"
Overall I would recommend the movie because I though it was an excellent story that anyone has and could have ever made that shows the various ways of how far a father would go to stand in the gap for his children, as all other stories that Hollywood has made just showcases how men survives without dependency on God verses the wild. This film was made in honor of all the dads who stood in the gap for their children. "Not to us but to your name be the glory" (Psalm 115:1b - NIV).
Stranger Things (2016)
Is a tool that can be used to help tweens and teens heal from past trauma!!!!
Life is too short and no one ain't got time to sit down to read a long-drawn-out one!
The main characters in the TV show 'Stranger Things' are several actors and actresses who belong to the Christianity faith, such as: Finn Wolfhard, Noah Schnapp, Millie Bobby Brown, Winona Ryder, and Raphael Luce.
A brief summary of the plot is due to the events in Hawkins and the imminent danger to her friends, Eleven goes with Dr. Martin Brenner and Sam Owens to a secret facility to help her regain her powers, while Mike, Will, Jonathan and his friend Argyle try to track her down.
The possible themes in 'Stranger Things' 1 are family, friends, and belonging; as it deals with healing, demonic oppression, possession, deliverance, and spiritual warfare.
The moral for this story that inspite of everyone thinking "Stranger Things" Season 4 is about trauma, which it's not - although, the series offers a "journey into the depths of psychological trauma" that is "surprisingly mature" - and that the figure of Vecna, who preys on "past trauma," allows the series to explore the "trauma response in children and teens." I propose with other specialist, a relatively simple definition: moral injury is the mental anguish that sometimes afflicts a person who does wrong, who breaks their own moral code. The study of moral injury asks us to remember that those who endure its unique flavor of anguish are not monsters. But it also keeps us in close contact with the monstrous things (like school shootings) human beings are capable of. "Stranger Things" does both of these things too.
With that said, this TV show would be liked this movie by tweens to adults because it has scenes with the teen characters typically track in subject matter and imagery that's often found in content for their age group.
In my opinion, what I saw through this movie was There once were two superheroes, who used power from two different sources to try to get the same result: one showed their power in marvelous otherworldly ways to people that puffed them up and created more nuisance than good in an attempt to try to ease suffering, than there was one who chose not to display their marvelous otherworldly powers openly and took the humbled approach; by showing intangible powers of grace, mercy, forgiveness and love to relieve someone's suffering that made a peaceful healing impact during a time of extreme hatred towards these types of people that was relieved by these superhero yet he showed the phenomenal cosmic power given to him by another source in another way.
Henry Creel. At a young age he was born with the ability to sense the supernatural.
If kids are left to develop their supernatural abilities on their own with out the guidance of a mentor can lead them down a dark path into deciding who they really want to be based on how they feel and what they've experienced in the past because they don't know the limits of their own powers.
Proverbs 29:18 (GOD'S WORD Translation) Without prophetic vision people run wild, but blessed are those who follow God's Word.
Proverbs 29:18 (In-Context) Discipline your son, and he will give you comfort; he will also give you delight. When the wicked increase, rebellion increases, but the righteous will see their downfall.
"People are not so easily defined, only by facing ourselves - the good and the bad - can we become whole."
Henry Creel/Vecna (001/One), Vecna is the main antagonist from the fourth season of Stranger Things. He is portrayed by Jamie Campbell Bower as an adult and by Raphael Luce as a boy. A fearsome sentient creature aligned with the Upside Down, Vecna had humble origins as the human Henry Creel. After moving to a new home in Hawkins in March 1959, the young Henry discovered he had remarkable psychokinetic abilities and could alter the perception of others. Motivated by a misanthropic and nihilistic philosophy, Henry used his powers to psychologically torture his family, eventually killing his mother and sister, and then framing his father for these crimes, which drove him to madness.
Than, you have Eleven. Jane "El" Hopper (born Jane Ives) and better known as Eleven, is a main character in Stranger Things. She is portrayed by Millie Bobby Brown.
Kidnapped at birth by Dr. Martin Brenner, Eleven was raised in Hawkins National Laboratory to enhance her psychokinetic abilities inherited from her mother. In the fall of 1983, El escaped the lab and was found by Mike Wheeler, Dustin Henderson, and Lucas Sinclair, who were looking for their missing friend, Will Byers. Upon discovering her abilities, Mike and the boys hypothesized that she could trace Will's location. During their time together, El formed a strong relationship with Dustin, Lucas, and especially Mike, as they taught her what life was like as a normal kid. It was ultimately revealed that El was forced by Brenner to make contact with a creature - dubbed the Demogorgon - from another dimension - dubbed the Upside Down, accidentally opening an interdimensional gateway and releasing the beast that would take Will. In an attempt to protect her friends, Eleven eventually faced and destroyed this monster in a showdown at Hawkins Middle School, mysteriously vanishing in the process. What her friends believed to be her demise was actually false, as El had transported herself to the Upside Down and began hiding in the woods to avoid being captured by the government. She would eventually be found by Jim Hopper, the town police chief, who would take her in and hide her in his grandfather's old cabin.
Through Henry and Eleven we can see the difference between someone being brought up with their gifts under the investment of a mentor verses trying to develop your gifts on your own; it's not about what a person has done, but what they allowed themselves to become from what they did.
Overall, I would recommend Stranger Things TV show because it can really help teens and tween to cope with and heal from past trauma. Not to mention, its authentic 1980s setting, its a little something for everyone, it celebrates our inner nerd, it's short and sweet, it is incredibly suspenseful, people of all ages can relate with the characters, and Eggo waffles are a recurring elements. Not to mention, on a deep spiritual level; it will show you and your teen how we are not along in this world as our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms that are influencing people in how they act.
The Adam Project (2022)
Be the best version of yourself because those who do not remember the past are doomed to repeat it
The main characters in the movie are Adam Reed, young Adam Reed, Laura Shane, Ellie Reed, Louis Reed, and Maya Sorian; that's starring Ryan Reynolds, Mark Ruffalo, Jennifer Garner, Walker Scobell, Zoe Saldana, Catherine Keener, and Alex Mallari Jr.
Giving a brief summary of the plot is the 'Adam Project' is a comedy, action, and sci-fi fueled with a feel-good adventure about a fighter pilot who travels back in time and teams up with his 12-year-old self.
The possible theme is be the best version of yourself, even if you have to make peace with your past to make a better future for everyone.
The audience who would like this movie are 11-year-olds and up.
In my opinion of the movie, the introduction captured my imagination and naturally lead into the rest of the movie. The dialogue was funny in parts and meaningfully written. The acting was natural and vibrant. The soundtrack and the special FX are creative and ethereal. I loved this movie because it was amusing, inspiring, and original. Netflix has made another good movie amongst the best sci-fi movies I ever seen.
Overall I would recommend the movie because what I've learned from it was to "Don't despise these small beginnings, for the Lord lord rejoices to see the work begin" (Zechariah 4:10). Especially, with yourself because those who do not remember the past are condemned to repeat it, but changing the world must first start with the man in the mirror.
Dolphin Kick (2019)
You can't afford to make a wise investment in a movie like this!
The main characters in the movie are siblings Skyler (Tyler Jade Nixon), and Luke (Axle McCoy).
A brief summary of the plot is about a young boy, who befriends a dolphin and finds the courage to get back in the water after the loss of his mother.
The possible theme for this story has a lot of messages about protecting the environment, humankind's responsibility for the planet's creatures, and believing in oneself. Whereas, family is shown dealing with grief. Promotes good communication and active participation.
The possible moral for this story is "Do you want to sit around with your toes in the water or dive in?" Moreover, the song, Oceans (Where Feet May Fail) by Hillsong UNITED comes to mind after seeing this movie. Especially, the particular lyrics in the chorus of that song that says "/Spirit lead me where my trust is without borders, / Let me walk upon the waters / wherever you would call me, / Take me deeper than my feet could ever wander / And my faith will be made stronger./"
This is a family adventure movie that's for the ages of 11 to 1 year old, but I think 8 to 10-year-olds would like this movie, yet I love this movie as an adult because of how God uses nature with one of His creations to help a boy recover from grief and restore him back to the waters.
In my opinion, the movie was engaging and on point, capturing my attention right from the beginning in seeing Luke's starting point. The soundtrack was inspiring. The acting was vibrant, natural, and good, and had an impressive performance that was believable. The dialogue and the writing gave the story a clever and thought-provoking appeal that made the actors sound intelligent. I loved this movie and feel like it's one of those movies that you'd want to see over and over again because it was lovely and complex. You've seen Christian movies but not like this that will make your kids want to venture on into the deep.
Overall, I would most defiantly recommend this movie because I've learned that dolphins are the most peaceful creatures in the sea so they know how to live peacefully amongst sharks; we can learn a thing or two from dolphins about how to live amongst those who are tough to love, and who could not afford to make such a wise investment in a movie like this.
Brahms: The Boy II (2020)
Show me your friends and I'll show you what' they're influencing you to become
The main characters in the movie are Liza (Katie Holmes), Jude (Christopher Convery), Sean (Owain Yeoman), Joseph (Ralph Ineson), Will (Keoni Rebeiro), and Dr. Lawrence (Anjali Jay).
A brief summary of the plot is after a family moves into the Heelshire Mansion, their young son soon makes friends with a life-like doll called Brahms.
The possible theme for this story is trauma is an ally of demonic oppression, and when you fall for a friend who's in darkness their image will rub off on you; as it molds you into the image of darkness that it wants you to be.
The possible moral for this story is when you give darkness a legal right in your home your rules will change.
Keeping it in mind that it's a chilling and suspenseful movie with violence and terror, and for some thematic material that's rated PG-13. The audience who would like this movie is ages 11 and up, as I would not suggest any kid 10 and under to go see this movie.
Evil influences emanate from the ungodly.
In my opinion, the movie is a showcase of the symptoms of demonic oppression. Demonic oppression is defined as the unjust or cruel exercise of authority or power, to prevent from having the same opportunities, freedom and benefits as others; a sense of being weighed down in body or mind by troubles, adverse conditions, addiction, anxiety, fear, compulsive acts, depression, mental disorders, etc... For example, Brahams showed an unsubmissive spirit as long as his rules were followed, systematic patterns that he put his victims under with rules; as he subjected his victims to personality disturbances, emotional/mental/psychological abuse, compulsive acts, and a family history of demonic influence coming from religious practices that his rules in how he wanted to be loved probably originated from.
Leave above it's Influence before it influences you.
Overall I would recommend the movie because of how it portrays demonic oppression through the doll by the hands of Braham who was working unknowingly behind the scenes, and it shows how Satan disguises himself as an angel of light (2 Cor. 11:14), which means that Satan capitalizes on our love of the light in order to decieve. He wants us to think that he is good, truthful, loving, and powerful. To portray himself as a dark, devilish being with horns would not be very appealing to the majority of people. Therefore, Satan appears as a creature of light to draw us to himself and his lies.
The Boy (2016)
Excellent showcase of Demonic Oppression - Satan disguises himself as an angel of light and evil prevails when good people do nothing!
'The Boy' Spoiler Insta-Movie Review
'Because life is too short and no one ain't got time to sit down to read a long-drawn-out one!'
The main characters in the movie are Greta, Brahams, Malcolm, Cole, Brahms, Mrs. Heelshire, and Emily Cribbs.
In brief a summary of the plot would be an American nanny is shocked that her new English family's boy is actually a life-sized doll. After she violates a list of strict rules, disturbing events make her believe that the doll is really alive.
The possible theme are every child longs to feel loved, the ones who are hard to love.
The moral for this story is obedience keeps the rules but love knows when to break them.
Keeping it in mind that it's a chilling and suspenseful movie with violence and terror, and for some thematic material that's rated PG-13. The audience who would like this movie is ages 11 and up, as I would not suggest any kid 10 and under to go see this movie.

We Can Be Heroes (2020)
Kids are excellent imitators so give them something excellent to imitate!
'We Can Be Heroes' (2020) Spoiler Insta-Movie Review
Because life is too short and no one ain't got time to sit down to read a long-drawn-out one!
The main characters in the movie are Missy Moreno (Yaya Gosselin), Noodles (Lyon Daniels), Wheels (Andy Walken), Ojo (Hala Finley), A Capella (Lotus Blossom), Slo-Mo (Dylan Henry Lau), Facemaker (Andrew Diaz), Rewind (Isaiah Russell-Bailey), Wild Card (Nathan Blair), and my favorite actress from 'Quantico' TV show, Priyanka Chopra Jonas in a goofy and exciting movie about when alien invaders capture Earth's superheroes, their kids must learn to work together to save their parents - and the planet.
The possible theme for this movie is defying gravity with your differences, whereas the moral of this story is kids are excellent imitators so give them something excellent to imitate - monkey see monkey do.
With that said, it's no doubt that everyone in a family would like this movie, including teens as there is something in it that we all can take from it.
In my opinion of the movie, what I have learned from this movie was how sometimes as adults we can spend so much time fixing our focus on fighting for those things that makes our future safe and our kids are protected, that it can pull our focus from seeing how much kids are being heroes as they lead by example; as we sometimes have to just watch them and learn by proxy to see how we can be a better version of ourselves.
Overall I would have to recommend the movie, because how it not only allows kids to be in charge for a day but can teach adults how to use their differences to work together with people they don't like while being better parents and rolemodels in front of their children who are always watching them.
Pulled from Darkness (2022)
Phenomenal intelligent-sounding actors backed by excellent scriptwriters at work!
This movie is a powerful story that shows how God is always in control and will use a heartfelt testimony to move on the hearts of very powerful people, who can pull strings to make things happen for you. The Divine intervention of the human trafficking movement portrayed in the movie is perceived as extremely powerful, powerful to the extent that it shows how God is able to orchestrate everything in a horrible situation through unusual people to work toward something good and beautiful when we love Him and accept His invitation to live according to His plan; as its interests are always met. The movie is set in the present-day rural Ukraine with the protagonist Anna, a Ukrainian homemaker mother with three children - Armen, Siran, and Hovan. The film provides a significant evaluation of the international crime of human trafficking portrayed in a Third World country by Russian gangsters who sold a woman into human trafficking and how they oppress unprivileged women. The main characters in the movie were Anna, Bedros, Anoush, Naomi, Armen, Siran, Hovan, Norm, and Pastor Bill. One of the things I have noticed in the character played by Brayden Eaton is based on Stanislavski's acting technique and his seven questions which, over the years have adapted from the 10 key acting questions every actor should answer in order to be a fully rounded and connected actor, that led him to become a fully rounded and connected actor as he played the character Armen. Armen is located in the third-world country of Ukraine, during modern-day times as he has just come from his rundown home. What does Armen want? My guess would be to get a chance, as I perceive why Armen would want it because he wants to get someone to put their trust in him for the reason being that he was seen as the protector of his siblings and he had no father present. So, why would Armen want it now? Probably because he wants to keep a promise to his mother. Yet, what will happen if Armen doesn't get it now? Armen will most likely feel like a letdown for not holding up his side of the deal. How will Armen get what he wants, by doing what? Armen will get what he wants by looking out for his siblings and protecting them. What must Armen overcome? Typically, 12-year-olds have moments of both acting like the child you have always known and suddenly turning into a little adult right in front of you, so I would say to get want he wants Armen must overcome the temptation to engage in some potentially impulsive behavior and his emotions. With this said, I would say that Brayden Eaton does fully transform into his character, Armen; as he shows hard work, technique, and good direction in every scene while staying truthfully and emotionally connected to his character, Armen. In my opinion, as the audience, I do see none of this, but the fully realized three-dimensional character of Armen right in the truth of the moment as I wasn't watching the actor but a witness to a trafficked victim who had the faith to keep his mother's promise when it hurt. In my opinion of the movie, for example, the trailer was powerful and deep and captured my attention from right off the bat. The soundtrack was inspiring and beautiful. The acting was strong, engaging, good, and complex, and had an impressive performance something that I could personally relate to in my own experiences. The dialogue and the writing gave the story an outstanding depth and thought-provoking appeal that made the actors sound intelligent because there are excellent scriptwriters at work. I loved this movie because it was raw, very natural, beautiful, and dynamically unique. This is one of the best human trafficking movies I ever heard, and that will for sure be a classic in any generation's movie collection. In conclusion, I would indeed recommend the movie because Pursuit of Freedom provides powerful insight into the world of the global organized crime of human trafficking, and the social and economic class system of Ukraine. Nevertheless, the film played favorably to those who fit in with the marginalized cultural group and empowered the oppressed over the powerful, in addition to the struggle with women's rights. It can also be noted that the film elaborates upon the ins and outs of culture and the working-class struggle, and what children of human trafficking victims go through.
X-Men Origins: Wolverine (2009)
'X-Men Origins: Wolverine' Character within the Characters Movie Trailer Review
YOUR PAST CAN BE REDEMPTIVE.
A trailer that inspires a viewer to cinematic admiration through a story that shows not only where wolverine and some other characters have come from, but also how they got there.
With this in mind, it can make one think how we are all called to me different and give the Misfists of the world an exemplar to walk with in the shoes of a character that relates with them the most. In fact, Pastor Chris Durso defines "a misfit as someone who is uncomfortable with their surroundings and someone who is disturbingly different than others with the norms of culture." As this movie will inspire you to be a peculiar in the real world.
This trailer is imaginative and entertainingly engaging with shocking visual design, cinematography, and special visual effects that makes you feel like you're apart of the action.
The trailer showcases performances that are vibrant, full of confidence, style and flair. Hugh Jackman and Lynn Collins were both phenomenal; truthful in the moment and emotionally connected, as they fully transformed into their characters. Not to mention the other characters were believable as they showed hard work, technique, good direction, and loyalty to the original characters of the comic book. Putting on display
A wide variety of character strengths behind the characters. Like courage, justice, wisdom, knowledge, humanity, temperance, and transcendence - being that it's a superhero flick.
In effect, the trailer pulls you in and brings you into the world of Wolverine as you travel through snippets of his backstory of Wolverine. Who is "seeking solace from his dark past, Logan, better known as Wolverine, seems to have found love and contentment with Kayla Silverfox. Logan's peaceful existence is shattered when Victor Creed, his vicious brother, brutally murders Kayla. Logan's thirst for revenge propels him into the Weapon X program, where he undergoes a painful procedure to bond his bones with adamantium, making him virtually indestructible and more than a match for Victor" (ref. Google).
Although special effects can be striking and really enhance the movie, it made the appearance commercially attractive, more distinctive and memorable.
Nevertheless the production quality was very impressive throughout; both visually and through the amusing sound effects as it made the production more creative in using less as more.
Overall, the trailer is a blast from the past of Wolverine and the other legendary characters that gives your a well anticipated drive to want to see the move to experience their story from the screen.
The Dark Knight Rises (2012)
'The Dark Knight Rises' Character within the Characters Movie Trailer Review
SOMETIMES TRUTH IS NOT ENOUGH AND PEOPLE MUST BE REWARDED FOR THEIR FAITH'
It's an action-packed, mind blowing trailer that inspires a viewer to cinematic elevation which causes people to feel motivated to do good and increases their altruism.
Whereas, 'Batman: The Dark Knight' plays out "with the help of allies Lt. Jim Gordon and DA Harvey Dent, Batman has been able to keep a tight lid on crime in Gotham City. But when a vile young criminal calling himself the Joker suddenly throws the town into chaos, the caped Crusader begins to tread a fine line between heroism and vigilantism" (ref. Google).
While there were a ton of character strengths and virtues exhibited in this film of the following: wisdom, knowledge, creativity, judgement, love of learning, perspective, courage, bravery, perseverance, honesty, zest, humanity, love, kindness, social intelligence, justice, teamwork, fairness, leadership, temperance, forgiveness, humanity, prudence, self-regulation, transcendence, appreciation of beauty & excellence, hope, gratitude, and spirituality.
Now pertaining to the art of watching film; THE THEMATIC ELEMENTS were mild that showcased violence, crime, and corruption for a PG-13-rated drama.
As it was a FICTIONAL story with DRAMATIC ELEMENTS of crime that had villains who were inspired by infamous, criminals of real life.
The VISUAL DESIGN was imaginative. The CINEMATOGRAPHY was very engaging, allowing the audience to feel and seem like they were apart of the action. The SPECIAL VISUAL EFFECTS were powerful. The EDITING was smooth and exciting at times. The COLOR was rich and in full-resolution.
The SOUND EFFECTS were creative. The MUSICAL SCORE was memorable and compelling. The DIALOGUE was strong and expressive.
Now the ACTING showed glimpses of performances that were full of conviction and confidence, as the actors believe in what they're doing. Gary Oldman as Lt. Jim Gordon, Aaron Eckhart as DA Harvey Dent, Christian Bale as Batman, and Heath Ledger as the Joker were all brilliant. These actors stayed truthful in the moment and emotionally connected, as they fully transformed into their characters; to stay true to the original comic book characters.
Nevertheless, the DIRECTOR'S STYLE of Christopher Nolan was clear and full of vision as a confrontationalist; in this style of directing, the director is in constant dialogue and debate with the cast and the production team about creative decisions and interpretations. The director seeks out and actively engages in such exchanges. Out of these exchanges, which can sometimes be risky, comes a final contested product as we can see through the select choices of shots.
Overall the 'Batman: the Dark Knight' movie was phenomenal, but one thing I didn't agree with was the portrayal of schizophrenia paranoid-type in the joker; Hollywood seemed to have beefed it up. Yet you got to love Batman's heart for people as he loved unconditionally, giving them (even his enemies) a choice, and always seemed to make the right decisions; to reward people for their faith.
Twilight (2008)
Character within the Characters Movie Trailer Review of 'Twilight'
TAKE WHAT MASTERED YOU!AND MASTER IT.
A trailer that inspires a viewer to cinematic admiration which causes a person to want to improve themselves and copy the model.
The 'Twilight' SAGA includes 'Twilight (2008),' 'New Moon (2009),' 'Eclipse (2010),' 'Breaking Dawn - pt. 1 (2011),' and 'Breaking Dawn - pt. 2 (2012).' Therefore, this review will place the most attention on the original film which I believe is the strongest representation of the character strength. So without further ado, the 'Twilight' SAGE can be seen as an exemplar for teaching an alternative way of living for resisting any kind of temptation.
For instance, self-sacrificial adjustments that is show through Edward and his family are "good" vampires who only feed off animals as a replacement for taking human blood.
Simultaneously, developing an alternative lifestyle with the character strengths exhibited of self-regulation, bravery, prudence, perseverance, and love as they have learn how to control their impulses.
This shows significant self-control and inner discipline in managing impulses and emotions, turning tendencies into creativity. While the themes that the 'Twilight' SAGA has presented throughout the film are: choices, love, good vs. evil, fear, isolation, language, communication, appearances, mortality, the supernatural, strength, skill, family, hate, sacrifice, man and the natural world, memory, and past.
The 'Twilight' SAGA trailers are edgy with this atmospheric quality in the audio and visual design that makes you feel like you're apart of the character's world.
The trailer show performances that are full of confidence as the actors enjoy and believe in what they're doing. Robert Pattinson, Kristen Stewart, and Taylor Lautner were all compelling, truthful in the moment, and emotionally connected as they fully transformed into their characters.
Not to mention the other actors were believable in their characters as they stood true to the original characters of Stephenie Meyer's popular novel that's of the same name.
In effect, the trailer pulls you brings you into the world of this Forks town. Where "High-school student Bella Swan, always a bit of a misfit, doesn't expect life to change much when she moves from sunny Arizona to rainy Washington state. Then she meets Edward Cullen, a handsome but mysterious teen whose eyes seem to peer directly into her soul. Edward is a vampire whose family does not drink blood, and Bella, far from being frightened, enters into a dangerous romance with her immortal soulmate" (ref. Google).
As the special effects really enhance the movie; both audio and visual, giving it this dark and soulful style.
Nevertheless the cinematography was creative, along with an amusing production quality that had a dark feeling ethereal film score.
Overall, the 'Twilight' trailers are an astonishing work of art
that create suspense within you to see the movie.
Hacksaw Ridge (2016)
Character within the character 'Hacksaw Ridge' Movie Trailer Review
There's a better way to fight your enemies apart from artillery, and that being with love as your weapon; for its harmless, softens hearts and always wins.
A trailer that inspires a viewer to cinematic elevation through a story that move like a love story then a war story, due to one man's fierce determination to pull his fellow platoons out of the fire as this shows tremendous act of love.
This trailer is eye-striking and musically stunning, with effects that will blow your mind.
The performance full of conviction and strong. Andrew Garfield was truthfully and emotionally connected as he took on the needed RAW emotions to fully transform into his character; to show hard work, technique, and good direction. In which, none of this is seen, but the fully realised three-dimensional character right in the truth of the moment. The other characters were believable American soldiers played by Australian actors who showcased a ton of character strengths and virtues. Like courage, perseverance, bravery, prudence, leadership, teamwork, honesty, zest, wisdom, humanity, kindness, justice, fairness, social intelligence, love, Temperance, Forgiveness, Humility, Prudence, Self-Regulation, Transcendence, Appreciation of Beauty and Excellence, Gratitude, Hope, Humor, and Spirituality.
The trailer keeps you on edge as it takes you into the highlight reel of the life of "Desmond Doss who, in Okinawa during the bloodiest battle of WWII, saved 75 men without firing or carrying a gun. He was the only American soldier in WWII to fight on the front lines without a weapon, as he believed that while the war was justified, killing was nevertheless wrong. As an army medic, he single-handedly evacuated the wounded from behind enemy lines, braved fire while tending to soldiers, and was wounded by a grenade and hit by snipers" (ref. The Mountain Between Us (2017)
'THE MOUNTAIN BETWEEN US' Character within the Characters Movie Trailer Review
It's better to weather the storms of life together, then to roll solo; for two can stand back-to-back and conquer.
A trailer that inspires a viewer to cinematic admiration through a story that follows two travelers in their quest to survive the wilderness, while braving harsh weather conditions, and fierce mountains; to teach with a metaphor about overcoming the challenges of life with an accountability.
With this, it make you think if the plane you're boarding will make you take a risk on the journey that'll bring you out of your comfort-zone; to a place of trusting the people and plan with getting you on track to your destination.
This trailer has a captivating musical score with a striking scenic design.
The performance seems strong and well-rounded. Kate Winslet and Idris Elba puts real emotions into their characters.
The characters are interesting and believable with a ton of character strengths on display. Like perseverance, bravery, prudence, leadership, teamwork, wisdom, knowledge, creativity, zest, humanity, kindness, social intelligence, self-regulation, and hope.
The trailer looks like it will take you to see a thrilling movie, with a twist that hits with a question - that'll get you to think twice about facing a tragedy alone - 'what if your life depended on a stranger?'
The production quality is vibrant throughout; both cinematography, instrumentally and performance-wise.
Overall, the trailer tells an uncommon and relatable, and I think it's strong survival story that one would love to go see in a theater for the full movie experience.
Last Ounce of Courage (2012)
A Brief Review of 'Last Ounce of Courage'
The movie 'Last Ounce of Courage' teaches what it really means to be a freedom fighter, and having courage to stand up for what you believe in. As the 'Last Ounce of Courage' movie is a remind of what this great nation was built upon, freedom while freedom is both a choice and right. Moreover, a insight that I can take-away from the movie 'Last Ounce of Courage' is when you have found your passion you've also found something to live for, fight for, and die for and have something to share with others to bring freedom to them or remind them of the freedom that we once had. Lastly, you will find a bunch of character strengths and virtues in this movie. While just to name a few; there is defiantly courage, bravery, humility, sacrifice, hope and social intelligence, spirituality as the quote that comes to mind is from Mary Anne Radmacher, who said. 'Courage doesn't always roar. Sometimes courage is the little voice at the end of the day that says I'll try again tomorrow.' Overall, this is a good movie and heartfelt.
Still Mine (2012)
A Movie Review Break: Still Mine
On description, describing the story in objective terms. When an elderly farmer tries to build a new home for his ailing wife, he faces the wrath of an overzealous government inspector.
On meaning, describing what the story/director is trying to say is still devoted and still determined.
On worldview, describing what rules/principles/values is in use by the characters. First, for rules, you should try to put yourself above the law or think that you are. Second, for principles mercy (Matthew 5:44), Contentment (Matthew 6:25), Hope (2 Corinthians 4:16-18), Christian Fellowship (2 Corinthians 6:14), Faith (Galatians 5:5-6), Perseverance (Philippians 3:13-14), Prayer (Philippians 4:6), Contemplation and reflection (Colossians 3:2-3), Forbearance (Colossians 3:12-13), Industriousness (2 Thessalonians 3:10), Fidelity (Hebrews 13:4), Evangelism (1 Peter 3:15), Loyalty (1 Peter 4:8), Generosity (1 John 3:17), and Love (1 John 4:16-19). Third, for the values were: marriage, family, their farm, neighbors, land and church.
Discussing the characters' behavior based upon biblical principles is Craig Morrison reminded me of Nehemiah and Irene Morrison reminded me of Ruth for her loyalty to her husband.
On interpretation, describing what the movie means to me personally is nothing shouldn't stop you from building what's on your heart to build as courage breeds honor when adversity comes up against you. Whereas; the unforgettable line for me was when Craig Morrison said, "age is just an abstraction, not a straight-jacket." What this means to me is you can't put a limit on age, as the scripture that follows this comes from 1 Timothy 4:12. Moreover, the other scriptures that was brought to my attention either during or after the movie were: Psalms 127:1; Proverbs 15:22; Ecclesiastes 4:9-12; Proverbs 22:3; Matthew 16:18; 1 Chronicles 29:28; Nehemiah 1-7 and Nehemiah 11-13.
Basically, this movie follows a theme of rebellion against the Law.
Exam (2009)
Movie Review of 'The Exam' with an Ethical Dilemma
Your palms are sweaty as you grip the pencil that rotates between two fingers, on top of a piece of paper in front of you. While you sit in a conference room, amongst the final candidates for a highly desirable corporate job. Facing a dilemma, that will tell a lot about who you are based on the following question in mind. Will I save myself and sacrifice others or save others and sacrifice myself? It's a moral dilemma that we seem to face and answer through our actions, knowingly or unknowingly as we go about our day to day schedule. Whether it's at the coffee shop, or in a conference room. Regardless of the dilemma, if there's one thing I've learned from taking Christian Worldview and Culture its this. There's a moral law and nobody really keeps it, this follows the Law or Rule about Right and Wrong which is called the Law of Human Nature.
Moreover; in the book 'Mere Christianity,' C.S. Lewis explains further, "the Law of Human Nature. The idea was that, just as all bodies are governed by the law of gravitation, and organisms by biological laws, so the creature called man also had this law—with this great difference, that a body could not choose whether it obeyed the law of gravitation or not, but a man choose either to obey the Law of Human Nature or to disobey it." This is why we need God to help us to do what we can not do on our own, because when we try to practice the kind of behavior that we expect from others we fail.
There is a film titled 'Exam,' that I have watched as you can see this difficult ethical dilemma of 'saving myself and sacrifice others or saving others and sacrifice myself' in it that shows both the positive and negative consequences of this. IMDb describes this movie 'Exam' as "The final candidates for a highly desirable corporate job are locked together in an exam room and given a test so simple and confusing that tension begins to unravel." Why I chose this movie and the ethical dilemma that it displayed within it, was of the various different approaches that the film had in it to solving the same moral dilemma we face in life when it comes to working with people.
Approach number one in the film, "A young white man starts talking, stands up and convinces everyone to work together until they find what the question is. He also gives insulting names to the candidates according to their physical appearance, like Blonde, Deaf, White, Brown, Dark..." said Krystel Claire. In which they all share their knowledge and help put forth ideas to find the question that is hidden somewhere on the paper as every attempt they make ends up not working out the way they thought it would, this solves the ethical dilemma of 'sacrificing self and saving others.' By each of them dropping their own agendas of figuring out the question as an individual, to collaborating with each other to make it a goal as a group. Which leads to the solving of the second part of the ethical dilemma, "White deceived them by saying the group could collaborate until they guessed but after tricking Brunette into being disqualified each one begins to mistrust the others. As the tension builds to greater levels," said Krystel Claire. Once the backgrounds of the eight candidates get exposed, it seems like everyone starts to think more selfishly as this leads to such distractions as arguing and fighting that waste time and causes disqualifications. At times, blonde seems to be doing smart things in secret for herself to win the job like to keep her paper from being spoiled she puts it on her chair and then pushes it under the desk to protect it. While blond does appear to be doing things with the other candidates as a group, but individually shows the qualifications of what the CEO is looking for in a director like ambition, intelligence, drive, hard work and detail-oriented. "Blonde enters the room again and picks up her paper. She fumbles with the pieces of Deaf's broken glasses and reads "Question 1" written on the watermark of the paper in very small print. She offers it to the invigilator and says "no", answering the question put forth "Are there any questions?". She is offered the job." says Krystel Claire. Through this you can see how blond saves self and sacrifices others to get the job.
The Biblical moral guidance that is relevant to this ethical dilemma comes from Proverbs 12:14, "Well-spoken words bring satisfaction; well-done work has its own reward." And Luke 6:31, "Here is a simple rule of thumb for behavior: Ask yourself what you want people to do for you; then grab the initiative and do it for them." I believe these scriptures help provide guidance to do the right thing, because it encourages generosity and the 'Golden Rule,' treating others the way you want to be treated.
The Ethical Dilemma that was presented in this film was Save self and sacrifice others, or save others and sacrifice self.
