The Big Bang Theory: The Stockholm Syndrome (2019)
'It All Ended With A Big Bang - BANG!!'
Well done to all. Absolutely brilliant end, one that felt heart wrenching and heart warming all at the same time - and all in the same timeline -sorry Sheldon, no multiple universes for these multiple feelings!!
From watching the first episode and waiting for Sheldon to win the Nobel, this couldn't have ended in any other way.
My happy, and sad, tears haven't dried yet and I'm already hoping Chuck Lorre has it in him to do a one off catch-up where we can see how they're all coping with 'grown-up' life. (could say more but I hate spoilers).
Game of Thrones: The Bells (2019)
This is Game of Thromes, baby !!!! Best episode EVER!!!!
Go back to season 1, episode 1. First 3 minutes of GoT, I saw B*stards, dead people, zombies - even zombie kids. It was brutal. Within an hour -dead animals, beheadings, incest, debauchery, cute kids being pushed to their deaths. And still the world became hooked on this brilliant piece of art.
Now it's ending and people want everything to be sunshine, cup of tea and a slice of cake happy, happy, happy. Go back to your Marvel movie's and Rom-Coms if that's what your wanting and stop hating what I can only describe as the best episode ever!!!!!
This was a shocking penultimate episode that left me with more questions than answers - the main one being How the hell did they make that??? Would I want a different story or ending, YES!!! Coz I still miss Sean Bean. But this isn't my show, nor yours (the haters) It is Goerge RR Martins Story. And thanks to thousands of writers, directors, costume designers, stuntmen, make-up artists, etc. etc. etc. for their brilliance, we'll be talking about GoT for years to come. I know that in a weeks time this piece of artistry is over. I hope that sometime in the future we'll get to see a new serie that is half as good as this, but I won't be holding my breath, -I'm still catching it after 80 minutes of excellence.
Well done to all involved. However it ends next week, you all did daaaamned good. An 'Outside of the Box' episode from an outside of the box serie.
Extinction (2018)
I'm Hoping For A Part 2 Or A Prequel
Like many others in this review section, I was expecting something different. After being forewarned not to find out too much about the movie and just watch it, that's the advice I'm giving to anyone reading this. Just watch it!!
It has a great twist, something I miss from movies these days.
I have to agree with other comments on here though - why don't kids shut up anymore?? If they don't have any lines in the scene, don't just let them scream or make noise. SHUT UP or they'll hear you!!
I'm still glad I watched it and I'm hoping for a part 2 to explain a few missing details. Even a prequel would be a good idea.
Fear the Walking Dead: What's Your Story? (2018)
Wow, Wow and OMG !!!!
Having the Morgan cross-over, I wasn't expecting too much this season from FTWD. I expected to see something on it's last legs. BUT...how great it is to be wrong (big smiley face)!! The cross-over was superbly done (no spoilers from me) and even though Mr. James will be greatly missed in TWD, I'm already liking Morgan more in Fear. And Maggie Grace was a refreshing surprise, let's hope she lasts for a while.
Now the best bit (again, big smiley face). Garret Dillahunt!!!! OMG!! I was so disapointed when he didn't get the Negan role, I'd have loved to have seen him in TWD. This is even better. His acting is brilliant and his character even better. I already know that I'm going to boycott the show if they get rid of him. (Ok, I probably won't but that's the excitement talking).
If this first episode is anything to go by, we're in for a great FTWD this season, and hopefully the standard will stay the same throughout.
Well done to all involved - just a shame I can't give bigger than the 10 out of 10 as this premier blew me away. (Big smiley face again!!).
The Walking Dead: How It's Gotta Be (2017)
Why oh Why??
Why oh why is one of the best shows ever made being made to look like a walker victim? (Only without the blood and gore that made it famous, as this may offend someone who's just started watching) This episode really bites the big one! I gave it a 7/10 out of pity for the characters who did try their best to give us a story, even though I bet they were all asking "Wait!! This doesn't add up! Who's doing what, where, why? Are you serious?" Yes, I know, we still have to wait till the next half of the season for explanations etc. but come on Gimple!! TWD fans, people who were there FROM THE START!! and helped to make the show a hit through word of mouth and social media, deserve more and better than this. If you've something better to do, go and do it and please leave TWD with the last bit of life it has to someone who can make it like it was again. Bring back Frank Darabont!! He may be the only one able to save it from it's dying breath. Which brings me sadly to Carl. Again, Why oh Why?? He didn't want to leave! Chandler Riggs had just bought a house close to the set as he knew Carl had a lot of story left in him. But then gets 'called into the office' as the writers have to look at the 'bigger picture'. (Feel free to look up CR's interview on why he was sacked). The bigger picture is that the writers have just lost a lot more fans due to...ehhmm I don't know. Really, I don't know what just happened and why. I'll be there in February, all the time wishing for a miracle that Carl's gonna make it. He won't, and the bigger question is will TWD survive this? I hate to desert a sinking ship, but if Gimple doesn't go then I will.
The Good Neighbor (2016)
A Semi Found-Footage/Web Cam Movie Worth Watching
Thanks to James Caan, who I've missed in a good movie for a while now, this is one to watch!! He was the reason I gave this film a chance as I don't watch found-footage movies. But, I found the trailer interesting, it's not your usual found-footage teen movie, not even close. And I'm so glad I took that chance.
I'm not even going to bother saying what I liked, etc. I don't want to spoil anything. I went in blind and that's the best way. As quite a few of the other reviews on this page have said - What a surprisingly good film.
I will say this though. The acting from all was great, which in itself is a refreshing change considering the 3 main characters are the only ones you see in about 90% of the movie. Even the cat acted well! (hope that's not a spoiler, there's a cat in the movie).
It's an easy movie to watch, in the sense it keeps your attention throughout due to the twists and turns. Take a chance on it, it's one of the great ones.
