The Last of Us: When You're Lost in the Darkness (2023)
A Promising Start, Maybe The Greatest Video Game Adaption?
Amazing first episode, overall very satisfied with how they approached this adaptation. Not many video game adaptions work out well and this looks like it could break that pattern. It might even be the best video game adaptation ever (so far).
Casting wise, I think they nailed it. Pedro Pascal, Anna Torv, and Bella Ramsey (who many people doubted) really shine. Only one episode but I am really looking forward with how they continue.
First 30 minutes or so are really intense and gripping. You feel for the characters very early on and all the actors are to credit for that.
Cant really think of any negatives from this episode. The directing, cinematography, acting, and plot were all very solid and hopefully it continues.
Shingeki no Kyojin: From You, 2000 Years Ago (2022)
Yet another brilliant episode from this show!
This season keeps delivering and brings intensity every episode and this one was no different. Leaves you craving for more because everything that has happened to finally lead us to this moment has been such a wild journey and I cant wait to see how this ends. So excited for the rest of this season!
This Is Us: The Cabin (2020)
Just Beautiful
What a powerful ending, this show always does the best job at connecting everything across all the different timelines and no exception here. Ending had me in tears yet again. Character development is done so well and you just fall in love with all the main characters and feel and understand everything they are going through, which to me is another reason why this show is so special.
Samurai Jack: Episode CI (2017)
A Beautiful Ending To An Amazing Series
It was the perfect way to end Jack's story. I would not have expected it to go as well as it did, based on the way the season was going up till this point but was not disappointed. It was a true fan service and a great way to end the journey in my opinion. It did however feel a bit rushed and would have been more satisfying if it was an hour long.
Overall, I loved the entire season and think it was very well done!
