Conflict (1945)
Twisted!
Caught this movie on TCM and it intrigued me. BEWARE WHAT YOU WISH FOR, IT MIGHT NOT WORK OUT LIKE IT DID IN YOUR HEAD.
A classic unrequited love triangle. How easily in the past (or old movies) people SAY they are in love, and fall in and out of love so quickly without ever dating, and how instead of talking about how they feel about their relationship, go to a therapist, or go get a divorce, they feel the best way out is to kill their spouse. GREAT MOVIE!...................Like I said, I stubble onto this. If a movie makes it to TCM it has some celluloid value, the only silent movies I pass..
Men in Kilts: A Roadtrip with Sam and Graham (2021)
Entertaining!
If you've ever wondered about the beauty of Scotland but was put off by dull other travel shows, this one gives you knowledge, laughter, and history all rolled up on a thirty minute trip in a RV camper van with the stars of Outlander: Sam Heughan and Graham McTavish. 8 episodes categorized for each segment is just fun to watch and as for Sam and Graham they have a good time picking on each other with silliness that it is hard not to laugh at. I Thoroughly enjoyed this series and am hoping for another season (s) to come! 😀👍🏼👏🏼
SAS: Red Notice (2021)
ACTION.
There is no lack of action scenes in this movie, so much so that the story line is a little hard to follow but it all comes together in the end. I found it enjoyable to watch. Sam Heughan of Outlander fame, is showing that he is a very talented and capable actor that can expand his skills across different genres and still shines. He truly makes you believe what is going on with the range of facial emotions he can project. The cast was stellar and Ruby Rose was so good at her job she came off as a scary psychopath you don't want to run into.
The Andy McNab - Tom Buckingham character is a series of three books, that makes you wonder will they expand and continue like the James Bond spy series from Ian Fleming? Only time will tell, but for right now, I see there is an action movie future for Sam Heughan.
Outlander: Monsters and Heroes (2020)
Well balanced - Monsters and Hero's.
This episode has a nice smooth arc of the story line with all of the principle players taking part. The TV show is known for following the Diana Gabaldon book series as best as they can, this Season was no exception but with the two lead characters, Caitriona Balfe (Claire) and Sam Heughan (Jamie) as PRODUCERS and actors this year, the episodes seem to have a better flow between scenes and the interpretation of each actors roles is more natural than sometimes the writers "write". The snake bite story in the books was chilling knowing that Jamie might die or loose his leg, or even worse, just fret about loosing a leg and fade away. Claire has to wrestle with the idea that maybe this is beyond her expertise and at a time when this is a death sentence for most. Will they be okay? Will their love for each other keep both of them strong? Stay tuned folks.....this series keeps getting better and better! Kudos to Mr. Heughan for his fine performance of a man dealing with the possibilities of death, and dying, and the decision to keep fighting , never to give up, for the love of Claire.
