Had potential
7 August 2022
This started good charactor building but from there is all nonsense, a 5 foot woman taking on the Predator after it's taken down a bear and a team of hunters and some native Indian's ? Not even in your wildest dreams would such a thing be possible.

The story, regardless of the poor acting had promise, however it was tediously slow, the action that we did get was cgi and completely unbelievable.

I like to see the female as the main hero, it's not like we don't have them in rl, police, fire and rescue etc so why not in a few films?

However this is not what we got, we got a woke version of Predator where a slender 4-5 foot woman takes on a beast that a band of hunters and native Indians and a large bear, couldn't defeat..

Sorry but the woke aspect of this destroyed what had potential.

Where is the point in renewing this show
6 August 2022
This is season 18 and it's just the same material thatt hey have previously covered in earlier seasons, it's lazy and unprofessional.

I like the show or more accurately I liked the early seasons 1-5 those were mind provoking and encouraged alternate thinking. Now all they promote is Aliens built this or they did that, and who really knows, but with no fresh take on this fringe Archaeology/Pseudoarchaeology it's time for the producers to cancel the show.

good acting
10 July 2022
I felt the film did enough to keep my attention, acting was pretty damn good, better than some that I have recently seen.

The film plot was one that we shuld all be aware of given the current climate. I feel that they could've done more, but would that be at the cost of the movie? In any case the film wasn't fast paced or too slow, had me watching the whole way through So well worth the watch imho.

Given that all I see on here is fake reviewers given 10/10 So I felt the need to add a genuine review.

Don't waste your time

Fake reviews are bad enough but this film/docu is absolute garbage. Covering the same old facts twisting the comments with leading questions and it all leads to no new facts or information, wasted 80 min of my life watchinng this, hoping there would be some new information, alas they offer nothing new just the same old stories.

I love this show, no denying that, but what the heck are you thinking, from one great episode to a filler?

Why? There was no need for a filler, ok there was some new information and about maybe min of new footage. I just don't understand why?

Oh hell no

What the heck were they thinking? Something this beautiful in the hands of Netflix.

Story ....em what story? Endless still animated fight scenes and whatever is left is a throw back to the ridiculous narrative.

Sorry but this is no anime, it's just another Netflix amateur attempt and fail.

Give anime a rest Netflix, your NOT good at it.

No Facts Just Fiction
31 March 2021
This is so hard to watch, basic story follows a man from 500 years ago that wrote down some riddles, sure there may be the coincidental happenings in the real world, but there is nothing to suggest that Nostradamus wrote of these events.

He wasn't a prophet. He says so himself, so why watch these doom and gloom wanna-be presenters that claim they know what these quatrains meant?

Nostradamus was clearly very well educated and there is that outside chance that he was a prophet, but there is nothing in his quatrains that suggests anything near what this show is claiming.

Not Great
8 March 2021
I found this on prime and immediately felt that pang of nostalgia, I loved almost all Eddie Murphy movies in the 80/90's I just had to catch this one. Sadly, I was disappointed, sure it was fun and entertaining but it lacked the old charisma. It was great to see the old cast back and the acting was certainly well within all the standards, I would also mention it has some really great artistic scenes. What didn't I like, well without saying too much it was the new members of the cast a heck of a lot of unnecessary loud screeching, it made my blood boil.

All in all I would suggest that you view it for yourselves, in many regards this was good, not great but certainly worth a watch.

Terrible, voices are simply terrible
31 July 2020
Voice acting is an art, i'm sure we can all agree on this. Prime sounds nothing like prime, no deep vibrant tones Bee is more like a teenager with an attitude.and sounds like it too.

Those are bad enough but you know what really peeves me? Prime is a automotive truck, not a big issue but he doesn't transform into the truck we all love till he and the others crash landed on Earth, same applies to Megatron, he took on the shape of a blaster but not until he reached Earth, serious flaw in the continuity of the original show/movies.

This had and possibly still has great potential, it's great seeing what happened on Cybertron, however, not enough back story on what caused the war in the first place. Animation is .... well it's ok, nothing great but fairly decent. Story .. ok i'm not giving my opinion on this, wouldn't be fair till I have seen the whole trilogy. Only 6 episodes,, how can you possibly fit all the plot twists into 2 hours of episodes? I mean it's a war on a planetary level, this is far too short for any anime, simply not enough time cover it all. I hoping and pray that this will improve as it moves into the next season.

Doctor Who: Resolution (2019)

Incredibly boring!
2 January 2019
I wish they had a negative number of stars, the entire series is complete trash, having a female as the main character, the Doctor imho is a failed experiment . Sure, great to see that the BBC is moving with the times, and a female doctor was long overdue. That being said, she had big boots to fill so the writers really should have made this even more exciting and suspenseful, however what we got was a modern doctor with all the current day to day politically correctness....

That is where I get confused, if the doctor runs around in time and space, pretty much isolated in the Tardis for the most of that time, where the hell did she have time to not only learn the current slang but know how and when to use it????

This reminds me of the other failed experiment Torchwood (to be fair, I rather enjoyed Torchwood) My main issue with both of these if the fact that everything is attacking the world globally, but the show/s only focus on Cardiff and now Sheffield... Must be the only place in the entire world worth the Daleks or Cybermen's attention.

Anyway, this episode just dragged on and on and went nowhere, a slimmy creature (Dalek) stuck on a wall, that takes over the body of an archaeologist, who then runs around trying to complete it's mission. Going to stop here as im getting into spoiler area.

The acting was absolutely terrible, Jodie Whittaker manages a fair performance but with that script, even David Tennant would have had hard time saving it, the rest of the cast could've been cardboard cutouts and done a better job. There was only one redeeming thing, they had some really beautiful country locations.

Personally this entire series only gets the min one star from me, they have destroyed one of Britain's Iconic TV legacies, 50 years in the making and 1 year to exterminate... Poor Poor effort BBC

Darkest Day (2015)

Worst film ever
8 June 2015
Warning: Spoilers
I just don't know where to start with this... The script is terrible the acting is worse and the cameraman must have been drunk, half the shots are out of focus, I think they were looking for a shaky camera effect to cover the bad acting but all it did was make me dizzy. To say the acting was bad would be an insult to the term 'poor', the lead Dan played by Dan Rickard, kinda held it together but only just however they didn't receive any help from the script. In essence, this is nothing more than a zombie based movie poorly executed, its been done over so many times to the point where its boring. Personally I think if a classroom of 6th graders, armed only with their cell phone's could've achieved a more realistic production.

Not great
13 August 2010
OK this was a great show that I used to watch when I was few year younger.

Noah Ringer, seemed a good choice for the lead but failed to impress, fast moving action meant that when you did see him perform it was rather off and stiff, im not saying that he was rotten, but I wouldve liked to see what he can really do as an actor.

The other actors again have the same issue, where they were allowed to perform they managed it fairly well but again it was very limited.

The story itself was nothing like what I was expecting, a frozen child in some remote area thats suddenly re-animated only to discover he is the last airbender, yeah didn't see that coming did we.

The 3D action was very good but it detracted from what little there was of the story line.

Really I would suggest that you save your hard earned cash and wait for the DVD I feel that if we had a real director involved this wouldve been well worth watching.

my score:

Acting: 7:10 (im being very kind) Story: 3/10 3D animation: 8/10 Directing: 1/10 (keep trying)

don't waste your time
26 October 2006
Warning: Spoilers
This is one really dull and slow movie, I was rather taken aback when I watched this film, its a remake of some other film that I viewed some time ago.

I think that the only saving grace for this movie is that it came to an end.

poorly acted and what was director thinking of? its a modern Ghost story ? REALLY? the most chilling thing in this movie is the children and that was so chilling as Ghost's I've seen scarier shadows.

as for the nanny from hell yes she had a rather poor upbringing and its all very sad but that wasn't what caused her to turn its was all those ghostly shadows oh and don't forget the children.
