Testament: The Story of Moses (2024)
... Why??
Why go out of your way to hybridize the Qur'an, Bible, and Midrash?? There's clearly no way to mesh them all into some other religion. It would have been better to do solid justice to one at a time. I'm sure each historian was very frustrated by the final result.
Acting was ok. Clearly the writing and direction was geared toward Netflix's bizarre agenda.
Moses was supposed to be the most humble person, but that was missed. Pharaoh was potentially spot on. Over emphasis on women, again to push some bizarre agenda.
Ironically, the real story and history is really fascinating and that was buried here. So much potential to use actual history and archeology, plus the Bible to tell the story, instead of morph it. Why???
Resident Alien (2021)
Ridiculously fun
Alan's range of acting is beyond Oscar and Emmy worthy... His ability to go from serious, to goofy, to clueless, to intelligent is insane. As someone who loves watching actors, Alan should seriously be considered for this range.
The series, in general, is a fun twist to a love story, friend story, drama yet humor.
Mike, who was a cop in The Closer, makes a crazy appearance as a goofy sheriff. After watching his seriousness in that show, seeing his humor in this has been so much fun. A perfect opposite to the other character, so much so that I'm laughing at each ridiculous comment.
I hope you can watch this and just laugh and enjoy.

any chance you're pregnant? watch this movie first
This movie is still one of my favorites by Ray Comfort. It moves through three different topics that are still 'hot button' issues in our culture. Many countries are denying the Holocaust (despite the overwhelming evidence otherwise), the education about abortion procedures and what really happens is quite poor in the USA, and then of course, religion: who is God and the million dollar question, what happens to us when we die? These three topics wouldn't normally go together, but in this movie Ray makes the transition easy by way of deductive reasoning. After this movie came out, several new mothers who were thinking about abortion came back to Ray and thanked him for his logical reasoning, and compassionate discussion, on what happens in the womb.
In part of my past, I spent time with post-abortive women. Abortion is clouded and not explained, which still boggles my mind. If you had a broken arm, the doctor would show you the x-ray, explain the procedure to fix it, and would explain the potential risks. For some reason, abortion isn't treated like a normal surgery in the medical field and these ladies are being lied to. Ray doesn't go that direction with the discussion, but instead approaches it by considering 'when does life begin?' Ironically, you are pronounced dead when your heartbeat stops, but you aren't pronounced 'alive' when your heartbeat starts. Which by the way, a baby's heart is visibly beating at 5 weeks gestation, which is usually when the mother takes her first pregnancy test.
I appreciate that Ray is simply walking people towards the truth. He doesn't hound them, he doesn't pressure them, he just asks questions and respects their decisions.
This should be inspiring for Christians to realize that you can do this too!
The Atheist Delusion (2016)
i'm surprised by the offensive reviews on here! it's good.
As usual, people are coming out with 'hate' reviews. Not because they actually saw the movie, or because they had something valuable to say, but because they simply hate the person. Instead of acting like adults, it seems as if children are just mad and spouting off their opinion. I would like to write an ACTUAL review. The movie is pretty similar to other movies produced by Ray Comfort. If you are familiar with them, then this one will not be a surprise. Perhaps the best surprise is the artful imagery used to explain his point. As would be expected with a discussion with an atheist, the main question is about the creation of the universe. Science is very orderly and the 'scientific method' is even based on this order that a hypothesis can be made, proved (or unproven), and repeated. Unfortunately, one cannot 'test' the beginning of creation, so instead, deductive reasoning is about the other reasonable approach, but can be based on scientific observations. Fortunately for you, Ray does this explanation in easy-to-understand language. No matter your approach (big bang, or otherwise)there has to be something that sparked the life of the universe. So what is that? What amorphous ball of goo gets sparked? God says He is, He was, and He always will be. These two views are outlined in the movie.
Scorpion (2014)
Fun and different
I just enjoy it. I love the cast of characters, each actor brings something fun to the table. Not every situation is perfectly realistic, but hey, that's what TV is all about right? There's a good mixture of humor, drama, and mystery. Just when a scene is too intense, there's a dose of humor to lighten it up. Katherine McPhee is cute. I enjoyed her singing and am delighted that she could transition into acting well. I've always liked Robert Patrick, and he's just like you'd imagine him here. And Riley, the young kid that plays Ralph, is adorable. I'm a fan of shows that spend time developing the characters and this one does just that.
Audacity (2015)
not all religious movies are crap.....give it a shot
Well, it doesn't take much to read other reviews and realize that folks have no specific details that they actually disliked about the movie. Ray Comfort is known for asking a series of questions to politely address serious issues. It's never easy to talk about religion or politics. Ray writes from the perspective that he cares about people, truly does not want to offend folks, and invites them to logically consider how God might view a situation. This movie is so very timely! Many Christians ARE opposed to gay marriage, but yet, confidently know that these people should NOT be treated differently or unfairly. The majority of Christians simply don't know how to lovingly respond to these tough questions. Audacity is a great way to talk with folks - NOT force an opinion upon them - and yet still show just how much Christ loves them.
