Traffic (2016)
Wonderful movie
Based on a true story and a Malayalam movie of the same name, Traffic, showcases the heroic efforts of the police force, who successfully transport a heart between two cities by road. Superstar Dev Kapoor's (Prosenjit Chatterjee) daughter is critically ill and can only be saved if she gets a donor heart in time. Meanwhile in Mumbai, a journalist (Vishal Singh) meets with an accident and has just a few hours to live. Knowing that their son won't survive, his parents decide to donate his heart to the ailing girl.Manoj Bajpayee as Constable Godbole is absolutely fantastic. The actor delivers an outstanding performance but is let down by a weak script. Besides Bajpayee, none of the actors get enough screen time, which is a blessing as they ham it up big time. Jimmy Shergill does get some witty lines in which he criticizes Mumbai's roads and traffic but besides that the actor has very little to do. It is disappointing to see Divya Dutta, Vikram Gokhale, and Sachin Khedekar play such poorly written characters.
There is very little to appreciate in Traffic. However, if you are a fan of over-the-top thrillers, this one may appeal to you.
Madaari (2016)
Good movie
Nirmal Kumar (Irrfan) describes himself as a 'ideal voter': a man involved with getting in the 'dal-roti', who believes what the 'shaasan' and the 'media' tells him, who is so busy bringing up his motherless son that he is no time for anything else. He's a worker-bee, and he is happy to be 'ruled', till one day when the rule of law is destroyed, and all he can see around him is injustice is an awesome movie . Shows us d love of a dad . I too feel like being a dad of a cute boy aftr watching the movie . And some bitter truth of current day India's situation . Everyone need to watch the movie and realise that it needs each and every one of us to contribute towards the nation and not to rely on the politicians
Badlapur (2015)
Average movie
saga that plays out with such eyebrow- singeing intensity that I could imagine a gravel-voiced narrator filling us in on dames and dreams and dark, stormy nights. Raghavan, like the film's leading man Raghu, plays his cards close to the chest and lets the audience simmer in anticipation as he slow-cooks the meaty, meaty plot and lets the story unravel.
As a premise, Badlapur appears simple enough.
A young man shockingly loses game Overall average movie Badlapur might not be in the Ek Hasina Thi and Johnny Gaddar league, but it is a happy sign that Sriram Raghavan has left Agent Vinod behind.
