House of Cards: Chapter 73 (2018)
To the very ruthless end.
Let me make this abundently clear... Francis was a monster - there was no denying that from the very first chapter. But people/viewers either loved or feared him, for only one reason. Pure respect. The lenght he'd go to see his goal complete me. A man like that is someone who was entitled to rule the goddamn planet, and no matter the cost... he would rule geographically as one nation!
As for Mrs. Underwood - Ms. Hale is driven by feminizm. Not femi-nazism, to put an end to the white man's supremecy. She's the movement leader we all wished we had.
Yet it all came down to a delusional right hand (Doug-las Stamper) who was a mean's to an end.
Despite not wanting to carry the Underwood legacy to a new generation, she proved to honor said surname far more than the former president ever did.
Now... As for the direct adressing to the viewers... It worked with Francis because he named us to be observers. Claire however used such tool to put us in our right place - to abrupt his indoctrination. In the end it works for her too, because a perspective helps us see clearer. Doug however were desperate to get our approval to get Francis's.
A man with no respect is a man with no power. Claire had respect, and therefore had power.

Why this season is rated so low can only mean either confusing message, or sexism of highest degree.
Sense8: Amor Vincit Omnia (2018)
A means to an org-- end.
The orgy sequences are more essential than you think and i am so happy that the show ended on that note.
The show's top priority has always been to bond with the sense8s and it did.
I cared for them - I hated them - I loved them - I cried for them - I had orgasm(s) for them.
Yes the ending was very cheesy (no, not the very end but uknow... That part where it went *BOOM*) - But i couldn't care less.
What this show has built is too damn strong to be dismissed by small flaws such as execution of saving the day...
I'm glad the show ended on a high note, rather than being yet a cash-grab with no soul.
This show could represent the LGBTQ+ community, different ethnicities, cops/military - It is a show that shows us that strength come in too many variations to count. It is empowering.
And that's why i love the orgy scenes so much.
Sense8 wouldn't BE Sense8 without orgies.
It is pure art and i pity those who don't understand that.
If people believe such art is: perversian, pornographic, satanic, primitive... Then let em' - Those traits I love <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3
Jessica Jones: A.K.A. Playland (2018)
Families are often the worst enemies
Well who says that a menacing villain is required to create conflict.
Killgrave was quite horrifying and truly earns his name yet it is all about character development, and the connection between them (him) and us the viewers...
Truth be told, Killgrave wasn't that too much of an antagonist. I didn't mind him ending up dead and also i didn't mind him being alive on the show.
The reason i got attached to the infamous 'smile' sequence was because Jessica did what quite few super heroes do, which is homicide. She gave ol' Killgrave a smile of death before she snapped his neck
After that moment we got the connection we needed to Jessica Jones.
As for the follow-up season... the threat didn't feel iminent due to lack of surprise.
That was until Alisa showed up and stirred the coffee too well. What made her a force to be recogned with was her love for Jessica and granted... she's her mother so we already had a tiny relationship to her
So after she was introduced in the second volume, we already knew what horrendous force would annihilate us. While it's over-exaggerated, the fear of losing control of one's own temper is frightnieng enough knowing it could drive loved ones away and give aloneness more space.
The finale would've been flawless if it hadn't been for the grand plot to be too crammed into one episode.
It's not very convincing how fast both changed minds about each other when they been apart for 17 years. That should've left a too big hole in the heart for Jessica at least. She's always ice cold, and you could say: nothing can compare to motherly love... Jessica is a broken mess which couldn't fix the issue between she and her mother in such a short amount of time.
But i admit seeing the two bond, melted my heart a bit.
The relationship could've been developed more if the rushed Alisa's death in the haste it was when Trish hit bullseye.
I'm glad Triish were the one because that would open conflicts that could play a major role in future seasons.
I guess what i'm trying to say here (in my awful writing) is that less physical evil acts and more mental ones or emotional ones could make for the greatest villains.
As long as villains have their motives and we connect with them through their motive... We could emphetize with more antagonist and truly bond with them
The Big Bang Theory: The Bow Tie Asymmetry (2018)
8 Years
I repeat and quote Amy's words: 8 looong years...
I can't believe it.
Shelly is FINALLY a reality (i say they are now because we never knew whether Sheldon's lack of cultural intelligence would get the best of him)!
And i guess this episode was also more memorable thanks to Hamill making a very so clear cameo!
Btw Missy and Georgie's actor/actress looks quite similiar to their younger counterpart.
They really made the whole episode believable!
And i'm really eager to see how revolutionary the Super Asymmetry theory will become for the show or for science as a whole.
Its (mildly saying) quite an achievement for a sitcom to make a breakthrough in evolution, even though the show's theme is evolution.
Mom: Diamond Earrings and a Pumpkin Head (2018)
Finally a happy event!
Yes it went down the drain again throughout the episode but the climax was worth it.
I feel for Christy... Money can indeed buy happiness and it's a part of living as civilized humans in a society. Without it we become miserable and we drag other people with us in that misery.
For the first time in many seasons, we have a happy ending, and season 6 is looking positive :D
Family Guy: Send in Stewie, Please (2018)
New ideas aren't all good.
This episode was a mess from the minute a saw the sneak peek that Stewie spoke in american accent...
Why the hell would you destroy an almost 20 year character with something so unimportant as an accent??
The more indepth story of understanding of Stewie. That's what you were going for...
We've had that for many episodes. They are called the Brian & Stewie adventures.
I dind't care for Gandalf as an shrink and i certaintly didn't care for Stewie's breakdown.
In the end this was only a 4th wall break episode that none of us asked for and never will so again.
This episode better not be canon, cause otherwise Family Guy is dead to me.
The one thing that earned this episode a 2nd star, was the fact that Stewie was evil like in the old days.
Yet throughout the episode he reminds me of Annalise Keating from How to Get Away with Murder, when she's not at work but home beaing an emotional wreck. The only difference is that i can understand that with her but Stewie should've (since he's fictional) stayed evil till the end of Family Guy series and beyond...
Family Guy's hit very thin ice. Better not let it crack...
Altered Carbon (2018)
Cyberpunk in movie format
Right so we are still years away to get the Cyberpunk video game experience we've waited for a LONG time now but this is nice consolation prize meanwhile.
I've heard that this is Netflix's answer to Westworld and to that i say it is a fine competitor but it had too much going on in the beginning for me to easily comprehend this cyberpunk universe... Joel Kinnaman are a great actor its not that's what the problem is but he seemed very unfamilliar with is own characteristiscs which is weird since he's not the one new to the experience... But us the viewers should have us scratching our head for answers.
And the plot itself is fine, lot of lovable characters but my god how this show seemed to rely heavily on the sex... A few sex scenes throughout the season won't kill but EVERY episode was above the average softcore porn. It almost made Fifty Shades seem like rated PG-13 compared to this.
In fact it was almost so much sex in the show that it made me very uncomfortable... Gore-wise it was fine. I love my adult shows to strech the boundaries to go too far and Altered Carbon definitely delivered on that premise.
We're talking about a gritty universe that endorse sex slavery of all genders (and even ages...) and homocide as an means for entertainment.
Yet i can still see why this could be compared to HBO's Westworld...
You have the sleeve-system which in westworld would be the hosts only that the sleeves are the body or container (if you will) that carry individual souls and these souls are transferable to another sleeve-host.
In short: Say you want to be a black woman or always wanted to become a man, you can by switching your soul to that other body.
Altered Carbon has a very unique and very alternative way of life as we know it. It's a sci-fi universe so duuh...
The show sometimes looses itself in the R-rating with tons of sex scenes or moral meter seeing how children are murdered or used in sex slavery. And the plot isn't that remarkable compared to Westorld but you'll be to caught up in the atmosphere that it doesn't matter at all.
I'd say i would revisit Altered Carbon for a second season if we got to see more of the many fascinating visuals/tech inventions, don't focus on the sex too much and got a new sleeve-host for the main protagonist.
Joel Kinnaman had a good run but honestly there's no more use for him in the show... He only serves as the body when the main character are actually asian. so Takeshi Korvacs could take on any sleeves and it wouldn't matter.
This is in fact a perfect opportunity to say *its what's on the inside that counts* ;)
The Family Stone (2005)
Spoiler!!! (But i'm probably doing you a huge solid favour) This makes the Dursley's from Harry Potter seem like saints...
Oh where to begin... The cast. You cast Jessica Parker as the main character who everybody is supposed to love and cheer on...? Sarah Parker was good in one thing. Sex and the City because it suited her style but everything else was horse style... No i'm sorry, that's an insult to horses whom probably are better than her.
Then the rest of the cast. Well the problem isn't the cast per say... but they have none chemistry whatsoever. I honestly don't see why Meredith or Everett are together because they clearly don't like each other and Meredith just goes in for being an awful hag as possible.
Everyone are just simply dicks to eachother for no reason which makes me question why they are even a family.
Sure... every family has their problems but these people should be as far away from each other as possible. The only two redeeming characters are the gay couple because well they don't have many lines and they actually behave like a family should. And well Meredith didn't exactly improve her reputation by being a homophob and a rascist.
For a christmas movie that is about spreading joy and happiness, they sure suck at it.
There's the awful mother (Lois Griffin-style), "waaay to passionate father that (like Meredith) tries too hard like it's forced upon him, the guy that hits on the fiancee, an asshat of a daugther, yet an annoying child that does nothing but make us cringe, the fiancee to Meredith who is a cheating bastard and Meredith who is a cheating, homophobic, rascist, un-educated bastard.
The only redeeming characters are Meredith's sister who just were at the wrong place at the wrong time (not really, it was planned...), the knocked up daughter, the gay couple and ...nope. Those were the only good part about the movie.
When a christmas movie lacks a likeable cast, good writing, chemistry, good charisma, decent well behaved people... then it's not really a christmas movie is it? It' more of a soggy train wreck of a drama.
There are plenty of other good MORE cheerful christmas drama comedies, worth your time. This... This is not.
The Leftovers: The Book of Nora (2017)
Never let my hearth bleed as much as it did for this show.
The only thing in this series that disappointed me was that the world never came to an end. Sure in the universe that Kevin traveled to the world was nucleared to extinction but in the real world where the remaining humans were, it remained after the 14th. I felt it was fitting that it all came to an end since no loose ends were there. I was hoping that Nor Kevin or Nora would die alone, I couldn't bare the thought of it happening. So in the final scene where they both sat down and explained how things got as they were, I was filled with happiness and sorrow for the fact that it all would be over. And with them both reunited it would be fitting for them to watch doomsday fall upon us. I wouldn't want any spin offs or reboots or it turned to a full length movie because recreating something that is a masterpiece will not have the same effect twice. I would rather see the Leftovers universe being perished by the sun fading away, than having it recreated to something beneath it's class. You can't recreate "The Leftovers". It's over and we will always remember as it is but we must also move on.
Unfriended (2014)
Not what you've expect
This movie is the creepiest i've seen in years. It's not scary scary like jump-scares scary and that stuff, but the plot itself is frightening.
It's based on the real life dead Laura Barns who committed suicide April 12th 2013. Because of someone who posted a video of her being drunk and more which is the reason she did it. The movie shows that you shouldn't play with stuff that you have no idea of.
NEVER do stuff that were done in this movie! I'm not saying that to be paranoid and weird, but posting things like this can have consequences.
But the horror itself could have been a bit more tense than it already is... And there was not much blood in it, even though the things they did involved some. I'm not gonna spoil what happened exactly. And the small jump-scares could have been a bit more heavier like your hearth beats fast. I'll give it an 7/10 For keeping the plot almost merged with the true story but with not so scary actions.
