The Man Who Fell to Earth (2022)
Not what it seems.
If you are/were a fan of the novel or the 1976 movie, you may like this, you may not.
I can hear you now, "I'll either like it or not. No kidding Sherlock." It's true. But not for reasons that those without any knowledge of the previous incarnations might think.
This iteration of The Man Who Fell to Earth is a sequel to the novel/76 movie.
It will be interesting to see how Newton helps to steer Faraday in the direction of helping to save his species. Thanks to Newton's previous experience with Earth and it's people, he will have insight to help Faraday in ways that he himself could never have had.
Hope it turns out to be a good series with a great story, and not resting on overused lazy writing that so many series rely on these days. Unfortunately, some of those things have come to light in the first episode.
We'll see...
On the Other Foot (2022)
No... Just no
This is at the very best a horrible, terrible, no good, rotten rip off of what Eddie Murphy and Dan Akroyd has already done except with a modern day woke, divisive twist.
This movie was barren of any humor at all. The acting was... was that even acting?! It was terrible! There is absolutely no entertainment that can possibly be derived from this no budget low quality waste of time. I watched it until the end to give it a fair shake. It didn't even deserve it.
Planet Lockdown (2022)
This isn't about misinformation or your side/my side. Grow up!
ANYONE parroting "This is misinformation trash that has been debunked", did NOT watch it, or is too ignorant outside of their reddit echo chamber to have understood the message conveyed in this documentary.
That being said, this is a heartfelt documentary shows what we have all been dealing with and how far the criminal powers that be have overstepped in the pursuit of more power and more money.
Those of you who get it, this documentary enforces the fact that you are not alone.
Exodus (2021)
Ummm OK....
Nothing about this movie made any sense at all. All throughout I caught myself saying, "Wait, what?" No questions answered, no details explained, and no ending at all.
It just stops.
I was hoping for a new movie that involved some good post rapture Scifi (since this movie is set 7 years after the rapture) but there was nothing. It didn't even have anything to do with Christianity or the Bible which is where the idea of the rapture comes from. I was expecting to AT LEAST roll my eyes at some preaching. Nope... nothing.
This movie had literally no point, reason, or story to it.
Cactus Jack (2022)
Garbage that tries to make a name for itself using the most overused and over exaggerated words for the last 4 years.
Title says it all. This is a waste of time and effort and shouldn't even be viewed by by anyone. It's pure tribalism trying to get one side to hate the other based on assumptions of a reddit rat. Mind numbingly ridiculous and over the top in the worst way possible.
Doctor Who: Revolution of the Daleks (2021)
So many are missing the point.
Like so many other things Chibnall has ruined (don't start with that toss about the Doctor being a female, that's not it), this "special" was anything but special. It's been tradition to have a Christmas special that was holiday themed AND removed from the regular ongoing series story. THIS was basically season 13 episode 1. It picked up exactly where season 12 ended and was used as an end to this group of companions (save for Yazz).
In my opinion using Jack was lip service that felt more like a slap in the face to long time fans. I appreciated the pop in but the plot holes were huge. Name dropping Torchwood characters was low hanging fruit and didn't add anything to and of it.
Let me clarify. I blame Chibnall for the sinking of this series and I hope he is on his way out with Jodie (poor Jodie).
Utopia (2020)
The worst part is knowing that there is more to this garbage.
This was a horrible remake. The only thing that could have made this good at all was if they released the entire series at once instead of dragging it out for at least another season. That way the people who enjoy this version could have watched it, enjoyed it, and we could have all forgotten that this existed quicker.
Absolute rubbish of a remake. Up there with the horrible U.S. version of Being Human.
Trump vs the Illuminati (2020)
Kept waiting for the funny... It never showed up.
I was really hoping for something funny, witty.... anything!
This "movie" was a jumbled bunch of badly replayed animations, a lot of poorly voiced dialog and almost no Trump. What you get instead is a few Green aliens (one being Aleistar Crowley?!), the voice of Anubis, a space Gorilla, and a couple of generic space cowboys "a la leftover Halo".
The poorly voiced over Trump is hardly even in this to either make fun of OR defend. Save your time and eye rolling and look elsewhere for entertainment. Or for those of you with Trump derangement syndrome, go back to finding things to be offended by. This won't entertain either side.
One World: Together at Home (2020)
Were we supposed to take this seriously?
This was both cringy and demeaning. That any of these filthy rich celebrities feel that we are "together" is about as out of touch as you can get.
The only thing that this did was lend a spotlight to celebs that are going crazy without the attention that they are used to.
If this was todays attempt at "We are the World" it was HORRIBLY off the mark. This was a cluster of privileged, arrogant, rich people telling us that we're all together in this. Cool! I'm gonna hop over to any one of their mansions to hang out after this is all over.
They were hoping for Clout and virtue signaling but it ended up being embarrassing and inducing eye rolling en masse.
