Fargo: Bisquik (2024)
Unexpected but that's what makes it great
For those expecting an action packed finale, this episode came out of left field. Much calmer and peaceful than expected, not a nail biter, but still a sense of 'what's going to happen next'. Mulch might be one of my fav tv characters ever, and I think that might be the swerve here. Perhaps we overlooked his story, or took it for granted, which in my view is what made this episode so great. Good vs evil, right vs wrong, and are we entitled to change our views/opinions on life. We didn't get the action packed episode that was expected, but we got something that was much deeper. This episode left me in awe, for different reasons than I expected. Solid acting, solid storytelling and solid, solid finale.
This Is Us: Us (2022)
A big 10 for the big 3
A fitting end to an incredible series.
Was somewhat steady going into the last 10 minutes, but then it hits you like a ton of bricks. The series really went full circle, with great call backs to the early episodes (including the very first) and a final goodbye to Jack and Rebecca.
Great parenting and life lessons to be learned here. Whether we like it or not, life will pass us by, so it's important to appreciate the small things and the little moments.

Ozark: A Hard Way to Go (2022)
Not bad, but not great
Felt like the writers introduced too many subplots too late into the series, and felt rushed to try to tie up all the loose ends. It was enjoyable, but fell short of being a classic in my opinion.
This Is Us: The Train (2022)
They got it right
An incredible balance between the expected and the unexpected.
Was great to see the likes of William and Dr. Katowski one last time. Incredible to see another layer to Jack's story. So many little easter eggs to for This is Us fans.
They got it right, and I have no doubt the finale will get it right as well.
I can just hope that one day, I'll be an old man, talking a young man's ear off, explaining to him that I took the sourest lemon life had to give, and turned it into something resembling lemonade.
Better Call Saul: Hit and Run (2022)
Good story building episode
First off, all these people complaining about early reviews.... just stop reading the reviews!?
This was a great story building episode, setting the stage for what lies ahead. I have the feeling that this season will not disappoint.
Better Call Saul: Rock and Hard Place (2022)
Emotional hangover
Not many episodes of any tv show can leave you with a feeling of an emotional hangover. Kinda hoped, right until the end, that there was an exit route for Nacho Varga. But only made sense that there wasn't. Nacho Varga became one of the great characters of the Breaking Bad Universe. Excellent, excellent episode, and it really is starting to feel like the end.
Ozark: Sanctified (2022)
Great, but.....
Really great episode. Writing, acting, all on point, but..... Darlene deserved a better exit from the show. She was such a force, that it seemed a little too easy, a little too simple to my liking. Couple of different ways they could have gone here. I get the point was to have Ruth lose it at the end. This could have been accomplished with Wyatt's death, and leaving Darlene alive as an additional wild card. Great episode overall, but missed the mark of being a classic in my view.
Shameless: Father Frank, Full of Grace (2021)
Showtime sucks
Writers should be ashamed. This is on the same level, if not worse, than Dexter. See you in 10 years when your finale doesn't age well. Covid? For crying out loud. These last few seasons came nothing close the original seasons of shameless.
This Is Us: Don't Let Me Keep You (2022)
Incredible, emotional episode
Just an incredible episode, one of the best of the series in my opinion. The pure, raw emotion is what hooked me to this is us, and this episode was full of that. Jack's farewell to his mother hit me hard, and in a stand out scene from the series. Happy to see the show return to its roots and find its place again for the final season. Looking forward to what's ahead.
Better Call Saul: Something Unforgivable (2020)
Incredible!
This is no longer a Breaking Bad spin off. This show stands on its own, and may even top Breaking Bad at this point.
Incredible acting, incredible writing, edge of your seat suspense. Wow! Cannot wait for this next season.
The Walking Dead (2010)
They have officially Dextered this show
Through out the initial seasons, this was one of the best shows on television. The energy, the acting, the suspense, the gore, the storytelling, the "on the edge of your seat" moments, this show had it all. But like all good shows, there is a time where you can either end on a high (Breaking Bad, Sopranos) or go on too long and lose your purpose (Dexter). Walking Dead has past this point. Ever since we hit Alexandria this show has spiraled and quickly. With the subpar, overly exaggerated arrival of Negan, the unnecessary attempt to shock in killing off Glen, using Daryl's charachter so poorly, and most recently, killing off Carl and the annoucement of Rick leaving. By killing off so many of the loved charachters, it makes previous seasons seem pointless. Rick's sole purpose was to protect and build a future for Carl, he failed. Escaping the farm, defeating the governor... all of this, pointless. The show has done too much damage to repair and rebuild the same momentum that it had in its early years. There is no longer purpose or direction. For what could have been considered a TV classic, this show has become a cash grab for AMC. They should have ended this show a long time ago, before Rick leaves the group to go work as a lumberjack.
