Avatar: The Last Airbender (2024)
An amazing Adaptation, that IMDb critics will tarnish because the majority of them lack common sense.
Read a few lines of any of these bad reviews you will notice most don't understand the word "adaptation" just like any anime to live action you cannot fit every single episode into 8 episodes. So what do fake critics do knowing this, they tear the adaptation down saying it lacks this and that from the show which had 22 episodes and didn't have to worry about a huge budget. They did this with "Halo", they did this with "One Piece", and this is why great adaptations like this likely will get one season, it's honestly sad. The characters are great the pacing is even better, I didn't think they could get through the book of water like this without losing itself but they accomplished just that, so stop reading these cringe reviews and just watch it for yourself , review it here to help the show succeed.
Ninja Kamui (2024)
This is what we call raising the Bar!
Sunghoo Park hasn't disappointed me to this day. E&H Production deserves a standing ovation for what I just witnessed. The story hasn't unraveled yet but the action is edge of your seat amazing , they spared no expense to give us these amazing visuals for a story that is as dark as it gets, I want to understand this world now, it was sad but kinda of John Wick ish because of the subject and the why, but it is what we have been missing since the film "Ninja Assassin ", they can literally make a movie based on the pilot alone... watch this as long as your not squeamish because this is 100% rated R material, Bravo a great job making and old tale seem fresh and intriguing.
Sarinjaui Syopingmol (2024)
Another slow burn beautifully crafted show!
At this point what do you expect from Lee Dong-wook, if he's in it... it must be a great project and this show doesn't disappoint at all, the entire cast was amazing but my standouts are, Guem Hae-na playing Min-hye a kick a$$ assassin, Lee Dong-wook a merc with a moral compass, Seo Hyun-woo a hilarious bad guy, Jo Han-sun a psychopath that truly made you believe he was just that, and Min Kim as Pasin the coolest merc since Deadpool. Imagine your under siege by contracted mercs without a clue of why, what do you do? Panic? Or use the tools you were raised with... this story will subvert all your expectations, best believe you won't see it coming!
Mr. & Mrs. Smith (2024)
Imagine the film Mr. & Mrs Smith in the Real World.
Soon as this was announced with Donald Glover's name attached I thought hmmm this just might be interesting, then the first trailer hit and my interest was peaked. The original Film was fun with great actors and lots of entertainment but far from realistic... everything this series is not. Think of this series is as Mr. And Mrs Smith with a hint of Black Mirror, it will subvert all your expectations because it ask the questions that the film would never. It's a dark action comedy that at times has serious suspense that I honestly couldn't see coming, and that's the beauty of it. Also the world building done in this first season could lead to so much more and I hope we see more of this World. The music, style, cinematography, and "pulp fiction" type conversations together made this viewing stand out from most spy dramas. Watch it!
Yijae, Got Jookseummida (2023)
Korean innovation is like nothing we've ever seen.
Just when you thought you've seen everything, here comes a Kdrama that breaks every rule, by creating a situation never seen before in television...then turning said situation on its head. It has been said that in the catholic religion if someone commits suicide it means your automatically destined for hell, well in "Death's Game" it also means you are seeking an audience with the Grim Reaper, and Death thinks it's disrespectful to seek it out... so it punishes you by putting your poor soul into 12 different people that will inevitably die... all the while giving you hope that if you can some how beat said inevitable death you'll get a chance at life. Seems simple enough right? But you would be totally wrong if you think you can assume how all this will shake out. Worth it!
Halo (2022)
An Intelligent review on IMDB.
This show is only one Episode in and a bunch of these bad rated reviews are saying trigger words like "woke", "disrespectful", and just "entertaining"... They are not real fans of the game franchise, and definitely hate to see any diverse casting. Their ridiculously low ratings of a show that has only 1 episode at this point is pretty telling that their only goal is to get viewers not watch this show based off their own shortcomings and biases.
Now for the review, After one episode this show is already doing something the original video game didn't, which is tell Master Chiefs story, the CG is pretty good, Fight scenes were great, and the show is just as Brutal as the video game. I'm intrigued and can't wait to see how this all unfolds. This is a winner I just hope they give every episode equal energy.
